As a non-BMW owner, I want to rave about this video. Excellent pacing, superb camera work, detailed descriptions as you moved along. All the gotchas that the home mechanic will encounter were highlighted perfectly. I don't know if you own your own shop or not. If you do, I can only imagine the customers patiently waiting for you to maintain their car. If you work in a shop for someone, WHATEVER THEY ARE PAYING YOU IS NOT ENOUGH! Well done young man! A credit to your profession!

Just want to say thank you for this diy. Took the chance and did this myself yesterday and it took me 4 and a half hours to complete the job. Great video! I wish I had watched this earlier this month. I had the oil filter housing gasket fail and it caused the belt below it to snap and shred. Now it's in the shop to see if there's any shredded belt material that got sucked into the engine. Note to self and any other N54 owners, don't ignore an oil leak.
