Thx a lot, it was just as simple as possible. Now with this video I feel more comfortable to do it myself. If you can make a video showing how to remove and replace a tyre, it would be great 👍🏻
Useful, thanks, but some more elaboration about why you do certain things would be better. For example, why re-attach the calipers first before inserting the axle, and why do you use a marker.
how important is to suspend the brake calipers so that they dont just hang off the hose when you take off the front wheel? I know on a car that's a very big NO NO, but on a bike, the caliper is smaller and less heavy... I changed my tyres on my R1250 GS and the mechanic didn't bother suspending the calipers even though I told him he should do so.
To be honest sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. Mostly depends on how long before I put the calipers back on. The calipers do not weigh much so there isn’t much stress. Thanks for the comment!
@@PacMoto thanks much! I did my first tire swap and forgot to check for spacers after pulling the wheel. Then when I went to put it back on and saw only one spacer..
does anyone know what is the Product # for the Spacer? i accidentally lost it and now not able to locate the Product# for it, i have a 2016 GSA , any response will be much appreciated.
@@PacMoto Very clever. I’m definitely going to use that. In fact, I was just changing some highway pegs from a K1600 to a GS and realized half of them were loose snd one was missing. Would have been able to tell straight away while cleaning way before I lost a bolt using your trick. Thanks for coming back to me.
@@PacMoto Off-road riding really shakes everything loose, so I’m not surprised. There are so many important bolts too. I’m almost tempted to take your little trick and do every single part of the bike I can find!
@@ryanmalone2681 That’s almost exactly what I did before my bike was shipped to South America. Follow along ay bendtotheend.com. Departing Bogotá on Tuesday.
