The crazy thing with bikes is that after all those mods, you're still around $30k bike included and they come ready to race. Even with a stock bike, you can go straight the your local track and rip it lap after lap and all you need is tires/brake pads/oil changes for the most part. Definitely scratches the go-fast itch for a lot less money.
@@UndefinedStasis uh the BMW is only bolt on, so you could like the guy above said, just get a flash tune and exhaust for 5k or less and beat up on damn near 1000hp cars and set better that good times at a track... Name a car platform for that money you could see these times and ill keep my mouth shut...He took off a front rotor, and put a long supported platform(hayabusa) front fender so you could find cheap as well so maybe a couple extra hundred.
I couldn’t afford a bike so I turbocharged a cheap car it’s not a rocket being fairly heavy but it’ll serve most smaller or older bikes on the hwy! this bmw though wow that damn things moving
I used to be work for BMW moto dealer 2008 to 2015. Did all the test rides. This bike is scary fast. About 400 lbs 200 hp. Stupid fun. Just bang gears. No clutch pull needed.
It has a lot more in it, too. PB is a 8.28 at 174mph. Trying to get a 7 this winter out of the 10R80. We will see. Definitely have the blower and engine for it.
Watching that first run made me think how unfortunately racing at a prep track benefits cars much more than it does the bike. That first run the BMW had to start a gear too high by the time it caught up wind resistance try to taking effect. Also, that evo rips!
Thanks! We built it ourselves with very little shop time. Husband is a car enthusiast and we have an appreciation for all makes but this car is the one I’ll never let go.
That’s our buddy and it’s an awesome car. I laughed the first time he hit the gas. Kids had a blast. Crazy that it throws you back yet it’s quiet. Completely different than the S550.
MR12 is a better fuel. Also a methanol blend really helps. 10-15 percent methanol will put this in the 225-235hp realm and over 100 ft pounds of torque.
HEY, I have a quick tip that'll make your HFR footage look more natural and upload a tad bit cleaner to youtube. Switch all your cameras to PAL mode and film 50fps instead, but with a locked 1/60th shutter speed (so it'll auto-adjust the ISO for exposure), then set your action cameras to film 0.5 steps darker on the auto-adjust. Also, be sure to change all your editing timelines to be done in 50fps, too. If you film everything at 50fps with a 1/60th locked shutter speed, you won't need to change settings when you go to different countries to prevent indoor lighting from flickering. Also, since it's still a HIGH frame rate, it'll be buttery smooth, but when combined with the (comparatively) lower shutter speed, the motion blur will look much more natural. Couple that with being 10fps fewer than 60 and it'll be about 20% easier on your storage space. Not to mention since it'll be a TRUE frame rate instead of a decimal frame rate, you won't run into any juddery or skippy issues like when you mix up 59.95 with true 60. (Or if you don't mix them up and are uploading 59.95 edited in a 59.95 and exported as 59.95, which youtube will cock-up and turn it into true 60 when you upload, causing judder)
This demonstrates how fast 1000cc bikes with stock engines are! But to exploit all the power of a 1000cc on this type of race, the bike must be stretched. With a 1000cc motorcycle stretch, he would go in 8 sec.
Haha a stock bmw can make the car boys nervous!! :) A nitrous hit and he'll probably beat the built mustang too The latest 1000cc bikes are capable of 8 sec with only bolt ons!! Just have a look at Chris Moores suzuki gsxr1000 running 8.0, a stock engine!! Thanks TRC for showing the performance level bikes are at!! Get a Kawasaki zx14r with bolt-ons next please
@@evo8power228 🤣 of course it would. The bike isn’t setup for drag racing. It’s setup for 9/10 of mile roll racing. We all know if they went out to 2,000 feet the bike would’ve been ahead. That evo is a brick.
Come on find a guy with a long wheelbase H2 250 hp and see what happens ! The car guys don't want that. I have a ZX14R , ZL1/1LE etc, let's make it fair.
@Józef Józefczyk True and I try to stay on standard/stock vehicles, because wants ya start jumping into MODS..... a modified Piggly Wiggly shopping cart could beat a H2R 🤣.
@Józef Józefczyk Why would it not beat an H2R ? Guess what ? A Tomahawk missle or space rocket can beat an H2R, too ! But the real question is, what *do YOU have that can beat an H2R ?*
@@Matt-tt4cu I wouldn't care because there's way more maintenance on a motor vs a ev. When you race cars with this much hp they brake. 40 psi is a lot on a gas motor
Bikes are more low end of course they are going to have the speed too but not like a car with 30 lbs of boost to back up it's top end. But great videos
