Looks really good. I've a 2004 Alpine White 2.2i with loads of mods. I painted the engine covers 3 years ago with Motip Acryl red and the stripes on top silver. Took me 3 weeks to get it right but a nice winter job. Tried high heat paint at first but was a nightmare as would not take. So far all good with acrylics. Painted the bars and air filter box the same last year and no probs. Had the car for 11 years and full panels off respray, and new beige soft top 3 years ago and fitted a rear boot spoiler. Also fitted custom stainless steel front grills ( got from UK as I live in Cyprus). Latest projects just fitted Kmac front camber plates, rear adjustable camber arms, new bilstein b4 shocks all round, new front Meyle HD control arms and bushes complete set. I've staggered 19" wheels and new Bridgestone Potenza 235x19x 35 front and 265x19x30 rear tyres just fitted. Also ripped out the nav display as it died and fitted a new sound system ( had the full spec BMW originally) and an Xtrons 8 core double din head unit. Original radio removed. Converted the BMW nav display box into a sunglass holder as a big hole in dash when I removed it. Car is fitted with original BMW front/rear and side skirt spoilers. Took out most interior trim and removed the shitty BMW rubber beige paint and painted ash tray, door handles & pulls wheel silver. Changed centre console and rear console to black. Upper and lower door card plastic to black to reduce the amount of beige plastic (always looked dirty). Just finished removing and replacing the soft top and fitted new motor and pump and located it to the boot area to avoid water issues and keep a check on the pump oil level. Cleaned and flushed out drain holes (may or may not remove the bungs). Fnitted ew front fogs as they were badly burnt and looked bad. I've also got the fine wood trim fitted as per original build specs which I think adds a touch of class. Also fitted door card arm rests and centre console arm rest from Leather Z in the US. The things I did in lockdowns and during winter- at least keeps me busy!!!! God luck with your mods.😃
