What I admire about Ma’am Zille is her continued, consistent passion and patriotism for SA! I know politics and politicians are not perfect, but she is one in a few that when speaks , you cannot help but sit back and listen. Wishing you well Ma’am!
Helen Zillle you are the most amazing lady I know and was marvellous listening to again, and your statement regarding non racialism and how the parties are supported. Best Wishes Helen and thanks for bringing the party back to where it is and getting better.
You are an incredible star. Thank you so much for your contribution to SA. How you have managed to cope with all the mud that has been thrown at you is remarkable. Very few people would have put up with what you have tolerated. Good people really stick it out. You are an exception. Thank you for what you have done for the DA and coming back to advise. Please don't leave us now. The DA is the last remaining hope for this beautiful country. As the saying goes...keep doing the right thing right long enough , you get there in the end. I am proud to be associated with your party ever since my grandfather helped form the original Progressive party.
we owe you, South Africa, for your life's dedication to research, finding the truth, drawing the right lines, and fighting for the democracy you have fought for as you exposed the NP apartheid murderers, as you have exposed the ANC murderers that was arrested by the ones who steal today when we wished our beloved Madiba his wish to retire, you know. You are a real fighter for freedom, a leader that would have governed this beloved country with the right mandate that the people give to government, I get it, sorry Helen, just the true pragmatic me trying to reflect what history will record at some time, 20 something, I hope. Cheers.
After watching the two interviews with Helen Zille, I now understand why ASA and PA want her removed. Helen is well researched and presents a well articulated discussion based on facts. This is the type of discussions that needs to be had in SA. Voting based on party loyalty has damaged the country. We need someone with principles and values, and who would not sell SAns to the highest bidder. Helen sounds patriotic and pragmatic.
There’s is no comparison to her clarity vision and communication and there’s more where she comes from on policy etc. It’s a pity we don’t have journalists to question the baseless throwaway trumpian lines that the ‘big men’ dictators were spewing 🤷🏽♂️
Thank you for this insightful interview ...and thank you Helen for your service to our country !! 🙏❤...you will go down in history as one of the sralwarts of our fledgling democracy! ..May God bless you and your family !! 😁
I hope Zille will be around for a long time. Astounding how she cuts through the chaf to get to the heart of the matter. No wonder she causes such discomfort.
Not enough people though, sadly. Many South Africans DO still follow old-school racial thinking - something that the ANC and the EFF knows very well, and exploits to great success.
The greatest stumbling block to the DA becoming the next ruling party, is Helen Zille. She is a divisive and abrasive person that alienates black voters. Sadly without the growth in black voters voting for the DA , the ANC and possibly ANC -EFF coalition in the future , will keep destroying this country
Thank you Helen, you have now rescued my vote. After listening to Gayton and not being able to sleep for many nights over his graphic description of the rape in jail, and how he pulled you down for being being unbending, I was so disillusioned about you, but now I know, you are the real deal. You have my vote .
I really don't worry about white people who got automatically align with whites like Zille. Gayton is our coloured people hope to get rid of your white supremacy!!Zille is a diplomatic racist!!
Yes Zille, we were lied to by our own so called comrades who helped Guptas to leave the country. Yes! No combination if not to govern better than the ANC. Huh, love that Helen.
Lol no one is scared of her. Let Gayton debate her you will see. After 2024 Hellen will be an insignificant figure because she is a repellent destroying the DA and chasing away the voters.
Thank you Helen for all your hard work. I have been living in Cape Town for two years now. I am from Durban best move I did. Sorry to say SA is in one big shit show. SA needs start thinking very hard for 2024.Thank you for beautiful Cape Town ❤❤ Marilyn Passmore
@@PaulMabena What is it that you dont like? Thats she is a women.? Highly intelligent? Has proof? Will debate you right off the floor, out of the door.
@Dorothy Warner How about blatant racism? Anyway, let's not have this conversation because you are already in attack mode. I have nothing against her being a woman or being intelligent etc.
Wow I enjoyed this interview.. She really qualifies to be a President...Its pity and sadly white people's views and beliefs will always be overlooked because of apartheid..
Much honor Helen. The DA’s commitment to addressing poverty is drawing attention. Your life’s dedication to SA and all her people will be remembered fondly, with a huge dose of respect. 🏆
Zille remains the sharpest tool in the DA shed. The DA remains the only party that does its best not to put square pegs in round holes. This is why they are good at governance. Pity politics like science, is such a messy game.🤭
Thank you , you see Helen sees my vision...it's guys like us that can build pyramids on different continents without even meeting...powerful hey...awesome Madam..renewables onto a shared grid
For once a politician that's not a populist. I'm tired of people talking race, gender you name it. All i want to hear is policy, clear pragmatic solutions.
@@Vv-fl2rm I really detest that term. Blacks. The derogatory undertone makes my blood boil. The problem here is that the masses who are deliberately entrenched in poverty & lack quality education & voter education the latter of which is even more crucial. I can tell you right now that if someone is on the fence about voting for the DA sees such a comment they will associate the DA as characters who use such offensive language. Be part of the solution and not the problem. Mo-ron
@@zulub.r.u.h7846 you are still black though and the fact remains, you and your kind are the reason why the country is in the state that it is in. Truth stings. Always. Even in your own communities, in your own families and in your own organisations, you are a problem even to each other. You and Your own. There’s nothing racist about that it’s facts, killing, theft, greed, plunder and the list goes on, who is perpetuating those? So the question is, who is the bigger mo-Ron?
And is the price of electricity still going up in April?? Wow, there are so many Government officials who need to be wearing orange overalls. And where I agree with Gayton and Herman, bring back the death penalty, pronto!
But you need also to vote DA! Mackenzie and Mashaba have JUST been proven to be dis-loyal to their own word, their own promises about the coalitions! Eish, chap, pleeeease think straight
Regret that I believe we all need to re-assess vaccines; Dr Mike Yeadon, and many others have done so. But you have truly been a hero of conscience and warrior for truth; at great cost, Hellen. Well done
Privatization of Eskom is one huge reason we should reject the DA. I 100% agree with her on Social Grants, a social grant is another form of slavery. People have become lazy coz the receive a few rands from the government. Economic Development to create more jobs instead of social grants is more sustainable.
Telecoms we’re privatised and South Africa has a good and affordable system, ie if you look at the cellular network. SAA if properly privatised would run well and same with Eskom.
No one is disputing that the DA can govern well 90% of the time. So why has the support for the DA declined nationally from 22.23% in 2014 to 20.77% in 2019? What caused this? In WC even on the municipal level DA support has declined with many new coalitions forming. Why? Where are the people going and who are they voting for? Parties grow by attracting voters from other parties and voters see that there are other options that are capable to govern just as well, like the FF Plus, ActionSA, and ACDP. These parties also have stable leadership, good values & principles that align more with their beliefs. We all want good governance, service delivery ethical leadership, and job-creating policies and there are many capable parties that have the people to do that. We also know the ANC has proven to be incapable of doing this and the country has had enough. What the EEF proposes the majority of SA disagrees with and rightly so. In my view the DA does not have stable leadership there is too much infighting and difference of opinion on what the direction of the party should be. John Steenhuisen is not a real leader, he lacks the charisma persona of someone I want to follow. I think Alan Winde may have been a better choice. Helen Zilla is too controlling and you can see this casts doubt on those that have leadership roles because they can't make a decision without being questioned. Helen has served the party well but her influence is plain to see and the voters see it. Many of her voter base have said she should retire and let the new leaders learn how to navigate our political environment. Then some say without Helen the party would implode. The world has been in disarray over the last six years, add Covid and Wars and the world's political landscape has fundamentally changed. America's Politics has influenced how people view their own governance throughout the world. In SA we are greatly influenced by the USA from, media, music, fashion, movies, celebrities, politics, and news channels and this makes us view how our own political parties are pressured by the world narrative. South Africa has a big Christian/religious voting population and with the Worlds, politics in the spotlight voters want to see how our government and political parties align themselves on... Cultural heritage Race Language rights Property ownership rights BEE Our Border Christian vs Non-Christian, other religions Liberal view vs Conservative view Capitalism vs Socialism, Communism Gun rights Safety and Security Education policy Covid Vaccines Death penalty Abortion viewpoints Media & social media control Climate change Him, her, they, them LGBTQ Wokeness BLM CRT Russia /Ukraine New world order In the end, I believe we should look to have 2 or 3 strong parties that form a coalition to govern our country. I don't believe ONE party rule is the answer.
Helen Zille - when I approached you about the Overstrand Municipality maladministration over a 1970 town-planning error on a plot I purchased in 2004 in Pringle Bay that I wasn't allowed t build on because of a river traversing the plot, you efficiently followed up. But their lawyers lied to you when you investigated and you swallowed their perjury. When I tried to reach you to correct - you were as much of a brick wall as they have been. Is it acceptable to you that the DA and their council perjure themselves instead of Batho Pele? The DA Overstrand has wasted R9 million of rate payers money on legal fees - fighting people who just wanted to do good and have a meeting with top management, even the new municipal manager has refused to meet me. And you have wasted R5million of my own money, I had money to build a 300m2 studio three times - but I was trapped owning a NO -MANs LAND - the DA is reprehensible! It is 53 years on from the original town planning and your gullibility in trusting your lying lawyers and Coenie instead of listening to honest citizens who have real problems. DA cannot claim any moral high ground - if you perpetuate corruption and incompetence and the brutality of bungling bureaucrats - the "Banality of Evil" as Hannah Arendt calls it ! That plot is still not resolved!
The problem in s.a is that political parties always diagnose our problems so well but when given a chance they can't deliver. DA is not new in politics 🙄
SA elections 2019 17 million voters of a population of 60 million, voted for a multitude of new, split parties. End of Rainbow Nation. ANC still smiling...
Thanks to Solidarity/Afriforum for what you do for us while the clowns fight each other. This country has been screwed since 1994 and there is no way you will be able to fix it, best is to wave it goodbye and start all over again.
what are or do the Org do for the country, this Solidarity are the same white-run Myn werkers unie who stabbed the white artisans working on the gold mines during the late 1990s and early 2000s, when the electrical union started taking over the majority rule on the gold mines and the Chamber of gold mines were just about to sign an agreement that the electrical union have majority rule the Myn werkers unie ran to the high court and cried that thy have the majority rule on gold mines, and got the court to reverse the agreement,
Well, with a DA majority in 2024 - which you FF's could help create - there WILL be a "start all over again"! Never forget that the Nats (now FF's?) rejected the Prog Party's AND Inkatha's request for a federal RSA state ! But, it is clear Roden boet, not enough reaiding done by your honourable self! Vote DA dear man!
@@chelseafc1813 how is it then that the DA protest outside the small community of Kleinfontein near Pta a few years ago if they support federalism? Does that mean that the DA also support Orania or is that not federalism? The Nats rejected Prog federalism because it would mean that whites will lose selfdetermination which they in any way lost in 1994. The ONLY option to survive South Africa is selfdetermination there is no other option.
if helen zille represents the DA brand [purpose, values, ideology, etc], my feeling is that that brand can’t ‘ever’ win an election in SA, because there is another dimension to the culture of people who are not white anywhere in the world, including black south african’s, that the DA cannot reach. it is things like a shared sense of origin, cultural and social belonging, very old, deep and nuanced cultural and social traditions, things that matter so much that even economic hardship, safety and security, education and healthcare, cannot complete with. a ‘winning formula’ would be the DA’s rationality [research, evidence, fact-based etc] with a soul, a total synthesis of head and heart. since the DA can’t access these heart attributes in it’s past, or in the past of it’s white core, the only option seems to be to create it in a vision of the future. the purpose and potential of a vision cannot be delivery, although this is obviously also important, because delivery is not soul. it would have to be a very high level definition of belonging, being part of something more powerfully compelling than the ANC, which is more a religion, the site of a deep sense of belonging, than a political party. well, that’s a thought after watching this. there is nothing to get excited about with the DA. data doesn’t move anyone’s soul. visionary ideas that capture collective and individual people’s hearts do.
It's with Bad Laws and Good Officials, it is still possible to Rule a County. But, if the Officials are Bad even if there are the Best Laws in place it will not help a country. Like South Africa in particular...
That apparent question presents a few unsubstantiated assumptions. Did it actually occur? I'm aware that before the DA took over governing the Western Cape, it planned to use available funds for the provision of housing, only to find that the ANC had reallocated the funds elsewhere. The ANC did set out to interfere with its activities in the province.
This woman is amazing. She needs to reach out to Kimberly Goguen. The most powerful woman on the planet who runs the Key Integrated Monetary and Military Systems. Also the Alpha Computer System that is running the whole show.
