Having recently watched the very interesting and very informative King David Studio interview with Helen Zille on RU-vid, the DA is by far the most progressive, the most compassionate and the most experienced choice to take SA and the Multi Party Charter forward in 2024!!

The pertinent point here is that the 3 parts of the ANC still add up to the ANC's original tally. In other words nothing has really sunk in when it comes to the average black voter.

When RW Johnson speaks I listen carefully. A very impressive, insightful man!

If it's important for Russia that anc stays in power, an Anc/DA coalition is less of a possibility. Mk + Anc have more in common than DA/Anc, except the 2 leaders do not see eye to eye.

The most important vote in the whole country is the Umngeni vote. We all know Pappas has made a huge difference in the metro. Should the distribution of the Umngeni vote not favor the DA, then good service delivery will never get you more votes in SA. The IEC does do a breakdown of how metros voted even though it's not municple elections.

You can't fight over the food if the kitchen is on fire. I've always said if there is one group more then any other that can feel aggrieved and with the means to act, it would be the Zulu nation, as such if they progressively retreat from the rainbow nation experiment it would not surprise me in the least. I did think it would happen under the IFP but it had its own problems, now it could well be under MK, with ANC influence going to zero in KZN, the questions are how far will they go and which domino falls next as the ANC crumbles? CR17 is by all accounts a massive failure, for the ANC, the economy and the people of South Africa - history will record him not just as a weak leader but also an absent leader. Vote the ANC into oblivion (best option is to vote for a MPC party), resolve corruption and restore service delivery, then we can look at finding better and better leadership.

What South Africa needs is an A-xit policy, ANC exit strategy that other parties agree to

The calibre of leadership throughout the Western World is currently at an all-time low. Emigration has since Covidmania no longer been an option. The last time South Africa had any pretensions to Western-values alliance or ambitions toward 1st World status, was before pienk Frikkie's time. That's quite a long time ago. The ANC deployed their Trojan horse, Mandela at the height of the Western liberal-Socialist push and no one will convince me that they did not do so cynically. I lived through apartheid, somewhat critical of it. I had hoped and advocated for a soft transition, that never occurred. One day this. The very next that. We are ALL of us less free now , than we were back then. I live amongst black folk and have yet to hear any one among them disagree that their lives were better then, than they are now. THAT is the problem. The noble quest for non-racialism has been turned into SA being more racially divisive ( explosive?) than at any time during its 400 odd year history. Someone asked me the other day what we should do about ongoing racism. I said: Stop talking about it. Stop framing every little dispute you may have with a person as a racial incident.

All the political combinations are inexorably leading to a break up of the Republic of South Africa. Even in 1994 it was inevitable, but both sides suppressed it for their own purposes.

There are 2 things on Zumas mind 1. His corruption trial 2. He hates Ramaphosa and owes him one. The MK party is all about Zuma and his personal conspiracies. So, the coalition will be between the ANC and MK and Zuma will use it to demand Ramaphosas removal and that his trial somehow goes away.

The DA should stop building castles in the air with their Moonshot ntonintoni. If they are not ready to work with the ANC they should just forget. The results are so predictable. ANC +EFF+MK most likely coalition
