The BNSF Lake Yard transfer accelerates on a clear block at Vancouver center headed south to Portland, OR on May 18, 2009. I don't really film yard power but this was a treat. Love the sound and sight. I did a little research on the locomotive's lineage and they are both ex-Frisco (SLSF 660 & SLSF 765). Sorry for the wind noise. It was really breezy that afternoon. Film these oldies while you can!!!

@railfanfromiantha You made me look it up. Its previous number is still 765. It was a SSW unit, not SLSF. Oops. Appears to be a GP39M (Morrison Knudsen rebuild). I think V is for VMV, a locomotive rebuilder in Paducah, KY.

Cool! The First unit is ex SLSF, but the second is a GP39v. Frisco never had any GP39's of any kind. And I have no clue what the v is for.

Back when Portland wasn't necessarily totally insane, I see.
