It's been a long time! Thank you to everyone who has stuck around the past 200+ days. I think I'm finally ready to keep up with this. Hope you enjoy the finale of what. ♥ INSIDE OUTTAKES STARTS TOMORROW ✌ Reaction starts at 03:04
So glad to see you back and feeling better! When you sort of dropped off the face of the earth, I figured it was probably COVID or something personal but didn't wanna pester. I'm just really happy to see you back! :D
Welcome back! When the Outtakes dropped one of my first thoughts after finishing, aside from how good they were, was "wow I hope Chris reacts to these when he gets back"
I'm glad to see you back! 😊 Taking such a long hiatus after announcing an infection with a potentially deadly disease was a peculiar and worrisome choice… 😉 I haven't seen the Inside Outtakes yet so I've got to find time for that before watching your reaction to it. 😄
I’d say there’s symbolism here. Once he sets up the loop, he tries to stop them but he can’t - they just keep telling him that they know him. So, he plays music to drown them out and they start getting quieter - he’s shutting them out. But they still don’t go away. So instead he embraces them and uses them to make his content.
A little detail I love about this song is when he starts adding instruments on top of the loop the words get quieter and quieter, like he's drowning them out with his art. Makes me think that he probably started making music all those years ago to get away from these things. His ability to turn his pain and things that have been used to hurt him into his art is what makes Bo truly special. Welcome back Chris! You're my favorite reactor on the platform, watching other people react to Bo and just not get it (especially out of context All Eyes On Me reactions) has made me really miss seeing you 😭
This is truly one of my favorite Bo songs and I feel even one of his more creative. There’s so much he doesn’t say outright that he says through performance. We can hear the voices of his haters and people who want to take advantage of him at the beginning but this song is just about how he’s learned to cope with it. At first he just hears those words over and over in his head. He even hears the “devil”, the terrible thoughts that must spark in his own mind when he dwells on this stuff. And silence when he looks for help from above. It’s a lonely place and it brings him down. So when he’s finally heard enough he signals them to stop, but the voices just keep repeating. Cause now they’re no longer outside; they’re in his own head and he can’t shut them out. So he sits down and writes a song. He figuratively and literally drowns out the voices with his music. The voices fade and he becomes fully involved in his song to the point where he can finally go back to those same voices and quite literally change their tune- He auto tuned their voices in the song and made those ridiculous opinions a part of his act. And his ability to do that made him a rock star. Of course we know he still struggled with this. But I believe he used his music to cope and this was him showing that. He’s just genius at what he does.
I see this as the comments and criticisms will never stop, but performing nullifies them some. He tried to stop them by waving his hands, but they just continued. As he starts performing, you can hear them start to be drowned out around 13:16 some into the next transition. So him being creative helps him cope with the hatred he receives from people.
When he's changing the pitch of the comments, he's basically taking control of the things said to/about him and in the last part it's him taking all these comments and criticisms and using them to create more art. So its going from trying to stop the hate (even with force when he's punching the dude), to trying to drown it out with the music, to taking control of it and finally using it for something good.
7:45 yeah your right. I’m 17 so Gen Z. We are the first generation to be born into social media, which ultimately exposed us to things such as politics and patriarchy etc. We get given labels due to our age, such as only being interested is “sugary cereals”, when in reality we are arguably the most aware of the harmful shit that older generations have caused. That’s why we love Bo so much, he challenges the form of society and has a voice to call out shit that we frankly aren’t allowed to.
I completely agree with literally everything you said. The fact that you chose "only interested in sugary cereals" as an example of what older people think of your generation, shows that you're just as disconnected with the older generations as they are with you. Sugary cereal hasn't been on the top 20 list of "what's wrong with the kids these days" for at least a decade.
@@kzbw I mean thats the lyric in the show, I dont think they where literally saying thats what people say now adays, just using it as reference because you know, its in the song.
Literally just finished watching the Inside Out Takes and then I saw this. Honestly I had a stronger reaction to seeing this in my subscription feed then that. Love you man. Glad to have you back
Ahh welcome back Chris!! I let out a happy squeal when I saw the notif😭 I’m glad you feel up to doing reactions once again but if that ever changes, it’s no worries if you feel the need to take a break(s) again!! :))
So glad you're back! This song is amazing. I've watched this a gazillion times and I still have literal chills. It speaks to me in such a deep level. Like Carrie Fisher said "Take your broken heart and turn it into art". So excited to see what you're doing next. Keep cool, Chris 😊
Holy shit I was literally wondering where you've been! You've got my favorite coverage of anything Bo related as you actually react and give insight and evaluate the songs!
welcome back!! i finished binging your reactions a few weeks ago so this was honestly just the best surprise notification to receive :-) im a fan of bo's inside but honestly i mostly just stick around because of the honest and genuine way you react to things - like ngl id probably watch any of your reactions no matter the content, so! keep up the stellar work as long as you're able
Welcome back! I've watched all your previous Bo videos in the last week, I watch these every day after coming home from my (often shitty) customer service job
The bit I love about this song is he's using the bullshit from the people around him to literally create his music. It's such an interesting representation of how the creative process can work for some people.
Welcome back Chris! So nice to see you again, and hope you're doing well! Looking forward to your reaction to the Bo content. Watch it in one go and then chop it up after the fact, it's a different journey and very special
Man so happy to see you back, figured you just needed some time off and I was hoping that was all that it was. Been holding off on Bo's outtakes for now but now I feel obliged to watch them just so can see your reactions.
I’m glad you’re back! I really appreciate your reactions, especially how you embrace the emotions of the pieces you react to. I look forward to seeing more!
Welcome back Chris! Have definitely been keeping you in mind and hoping you’re okay!! So glad you’re back and ready to go! Can’t wait to see your reaction to the Inside Outtakes and to see what the future holds!
So, so, soooo incredibly glad to see you are okay!!! So glad to have you back! 💖💖💖 amazing reaction as always. I haven't seen the outtakes yet. waiting for a friend so watch it together lol. but you bet your booty I'll be watching your reacts to that!!! you definately have a fan (and friend) in me. and I'll follow you for a long time!
I really enjoy your analasys of these songs but what I really like about your reactions is how you clearly enjoy and appreciate the music. Of course we'll stick with you throughout all these months, your reactions are a bright moment in my day
nice to have u back homie! just wanted to quickly say that ive seen a lot of bo burnham reactions and ive found a lot of really cool channels including yours through these reactions, but out of all of them i can easily say your reactions are the best of the bunch, been waiting for almost a year for a year to come back with these amazing reactions, and for the record wanted to say that id wait another year if you were to take a break, we'll always be here homie, love from DC
welcome back!!! i was literally just rewatching your videos of you reacting to his specials since i watched the outtakes last night. if you go to one of your vids, you’d see i literally asked you to react to the outtakes like an hour or two ago 😭😭
CHRIS!!!! I love that you're back omg, dont feel like you're limited to Bo content! Keep doing your thing man, you are the BEST react creator on youtube
Hey man I'm glad your feeling better! I kept checking back every couple of weeks to see if you started uploaded again hoping that one day you'd finish What. Welcome back!
So glad to see you back Chris! I can’t wait for the Inside Outtakes. Maybe everybody knows this already, but the set up Bo uses with invisible instruments is pulled from an old Rowan Atkinson routine. Tim Minchin has also done a song using this routine. It never gets old!
I just found your page, but I'm really enjoying your reactions! Youre so chill and your reactions seem genuine and thought out. And I'm glad you're feeling better, covid is rough! I hope you continue to take care of your health. Subbing for more of your content!
Wow it seems like such a long time since I've watched your previous reactions! And I became a bit more confident with my English since autumn (I actually used your videos for my English listening practice, so I rewatched them many times, haha). Anyways, glad you're back and feeling better! Good luck with everything ;)
