WXAXRXP Sessions is a collection of special sessions recorded for radio which span Warp's three decades. The era of John Peel's iconoclastic radio transmissions was a primary influence for June's WXAXRXP x NTS broadcast, and the Peel Session format was revived for a new generation of Warp artists to be transmitted that weekend. Those recordings are collected here with unheard archive sessions material to trace a line across the history of Warp. ‘WXAXRXP Sessions’ features Aphex Twin, Bibio, Boards Of Canada, Flying Lotus, Kelly Moran, LFO, Mount Kimbie, Oneohtrix Point Never, Plaid and Seefeel. I haven't listened to the full peel session in a while but my enduring memory was the BoC lads talking about just heading down to the pub after it. You get the feeling that they have the best of both worlds. Anonymous mostly, no live shows, let the fans absorb the music sonically in their own time. No collective apart from an underground fanclub that don't meet up. It makes meeting another BoC fan so much more special, because as fans ourselves we are a subculture. And if you know how good their music is... you know.

I'm glad this has been released officially. I hope more unreleased BoC stuff becomes more accessible to everyone soon, some of my favourite stuff from them is hidden in obscurity. Especially the Old Tunes tapes, though I imagine there would be a lot of red tape to clear up with all the sampling they did for that.

This somg is amazing. I LOVE the use of the guitar. Goes incredibly well, especially at the beginning. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing.
