I associate street corn with Mexico, lol. Grilled corn covered with lime juice, mayonaise (or crema), queso fresco, and chile powder. Love your dining reviews because I know you will tell us the honest truth of just how it is!

the street corn. Was garnished with sour cream as a substitute for 'crema' Mexican sour cream. Sometimes 'street corn' is served with little bits of mexican crumbling cheese.....like feta cheese. It's very traditional.

Street corn usually has mayonnaise on it, with chili powder and cilantro (and often sour cream). Take a look at recipes for elotes. Standard ingredient. :)

Mexicans, we add Mayo to our corn. Or how is referred to now in most restaurants “street corn”. We usually spread mayo, chili powder, lemon and Cotija cheese. But that did not look like street corn

Yep, sour cream on street corn is a thing. It's heavier in Texas street corn , but we have seen sour cream on corn on cob with Tony Chachere seasoning around NOLA.

The street corn should actually been labeled Mexican Street corn which traditionally has a crema on it and some Mexican cheese that is kind of like Parm. They didn’t do a great job with that part of the meal description

LOVE the title Pete! I have been watching you guys for YEARS and that has been a long running gag. Honestly, I am writing this as you are doing your intro and my hope is - It sucks!

Great to hear about Boatwrights! I remember my friend that I brought for her very first Disney vaca was at this hotel . She has many allergies and their quick-serve was SO accommodating. She felt so HEARD for the first time in her 70 yr old life.

It’s exciting that this restaurant looks to have turned it around solely for the fact that it gives my wife and I a reason to hang at Port Orleans Riverside for a few hours. Love that property.

Pete was in a very good, playful mood! I don't know what Corey said, cuz I was laughing so hard! 😂

That made me laugh out loud. Though I wonder how Pete would react if the tables were turned. It won't happen because he's the boss. Still I would like to see it but I'm not sure if anybody else is as genuinely funny as Pete.

Sour cream on street corn is a thing in Mexican and some Tex-Mex. Actually, it would most likely be Crema which is a Mexican version of sour cream.

I'm glad Pete gave it another chance with an open mind. Shows he is honest when he said would keep an open mind.

Looking forward to trying Boatwrights again one day. Never impressed before. I do love how so many restaurants on property accommodate dietary concerns. Learned that few years back when a friend joined me. Majority of the restaurants are so willing to help. Fun dining review.

Pete’s reactions while Corey was talking were very funny. But sometimes they just over do it with the way they treat Corey. I especially see it with Craig and Ryno, who aren’t in this video, but with those two they just show you that they find Corey irritating more than I think is appropriate. They treat Corey like he is beneath them. You don’t have to like everyone, but I would like to see Corey treated with more respect. He is a person. Thanks Dis team ✌️

I’m so glad you have changed your mind about this place! My husband and I ate here in 2018 and we really enjoyed it. And sour cream on corn is actually a very common thing for street corn actually…..haha. I get it that it’s not for everyone though.

When my family ate here on our 2010 trip, Boatwright's was hands down the surprise gem among our many sit-down meals. I've been disheartened to hear so many bad reviews about this restaurant in the past few years, so this mostly positive review cheered me up. Thanks for giving it a chance.

I have never seen this RU-vid channel before. This was my first time and I subscribed immediately for two reasons......1...I love Disney and anything about Disney interests me, especially the restaurants and 2...I laughed my butt off at Pete in the background. I'm alone watching this and am actually cracking up out loud.

So glad to hear this! We absolutely love ❤️ Port Orleans, but have never eaten at the restaurant due to your reviews.We will give it a chance on our next visit. Great to know that the one weak element of this beautiful resort has finally turned the corner.

I remember when that resort opened, my wife and I came down for a five day quick visit. I remember they were three room rates depending on where your room overlooked we were being cheap and got parking lot view first floor and paid $69.99 per night, I guess you can tell how far back I go with this resort L O L. My memories of Boatwright‘s we’re over breakfast, the skillet bowlsWith all sorts of goodies from andouille sausage to basted eggs. I’d love to see them opening up for breakfast again with some really interesting New Orleans style breakfast. I’m so glad they’ve turned around as I have very fond memories of that resort.

I ate here in January and really liked it.

So glad to hear Boatwrights was a good choice for you. I was just looking at restaurants menus and dining options while dreaming of a Disney Vacation here in cold Michigan. I was looking at all the things Pete ordered and glad it was a good meal for all of you.

Ate there for the first time on their reopening night in December 2021. The Amelia Salad and Shrimp and grits were amazing. I also had fantastic service.

That’s awesome…. Riverside is an amazing resort - have stayed there many many times, and knew back in the 90s when it was new- it was awful. Glad they figure it out all these years later

Even though I'll never go back to Disney World I am still subscribed to this channel due to Pete Best's review.

I had to cross my legs so I wouldn’t pee myself laughing at Pete. The close up with the zing nearly finished me 🤣😂🤣. Please keep doing group dining reviews. Love seeing the very busy Sean and Pete with Fiasco and Haley 💜. So happy to hear Boatwrights cleaned up their food game. Speaking as a native New Orleanian I can vouch for Coreys review on House of Blues. We tried both the red beans and jambalaya and it’s definitely not what we serve here. The only thing we liked at the House of Blues were the appetizer nachos.

🤷🏻‍♀️ We never had an issue with Boatwright’s. One of our favorites places to eat.

I think when you are reviewing restaurants at resorts it’s worth noting a bit about the resort that makes it worth visiting to eat. The restaurant there is next to a grab and go cafe with dessert options. A short walk along the river or ferry ride brings you to French Quarter with beautiful gardens and fountains to explore plus delicious beignets to eat. Yee Haw Bob Jackson performs in the bar next door. The grounds of Riverside are stunning to meander with the mansions, and you can even take a horse drawn carriage ride. They rent bikes and Surrey bikes there, and you can take a ferry to or from Disney Springs.

We stayed at Riverside many times up until 4-5 years ago and had many delicious meals at Boatwrites then.

I'm oddly super happy for this review. I've had one AMAZING meal at Boatwrights and a decent meal there and actually felt bad about folks' (especially Pete's) opinions, experiences, and feelings of this fun place. Fun show.

Maybe planets aligned, that’s why y’all got that one good experience at boatwright’s but I’m low key rooting for it to be good for once..

This gives me hope for 2022

The best street corn can be found in Animal Kingdom near Kilimanjaro Safaris. Should be cogito cheese not sour cream.

Disney Dining. It seems that as hotel's and restaurants have re-opened since covid a lot of effort has gone into upgrading the dining experience around the property. And every place the "Dining Crew" eat at everyone overall seems pleasantly surprised with their meals. Good to know. Cheers, Chris Perry.

I had the Deep South Shrimp and Grits there, it was very good, I will go back again. I do feel bad for waiters/waitress, the costume/uniforms are horrible. Disney PLEASE update the employee's clothing.

We were there in February and to be blunt, it was awe full. We have eaten there on prior occasions with lackluster results and decided to give it one more try. Well we did! Not again. Prime rib was prime fat, the jambalaya was fair to say the least. Service was so so. Overpriced for what we ordered regarding the taste

OK, I've been watching the show for years, and if Pete had a good meal at Boatwright's, then I have somehow crossed into an alternate reality - I'm certain of it. Oh well, at least Robert Redford is still the President. Right??

So sorry. Can't give this restaurant a great review this time. Have eaten there a number of a times over the last 24 years. At there yesterday, Feb. 17th, 2022. Both I and my guest ordered the "All You Care to Eat Platter". The Ugly: The beans were virtually raw and inedible unless you like eating raw beans. Told the waitress. Then received a 2nd order. Same quality. Asked for salt and pepper. Waitress brought both. Had to call her back because . . . there were no peppercorns in the pepper mill. A pepper mill doesn't work well with nothing in it. The Bad: The food came out barely warm. The mashed potatoes were cold. The little corn cob was over cooked. The chicken was overbreaded. The Good: We got in on time. The waitress was pleasant and funny and we did leave a 20% tip for her. Not her fault about the food or pepper. The sausages were tasty. Remember the days, long ago, when I got a great meal at BoatWright's. A filet mignon wrapped in bacon. Oh well, like the hair on my head, things were of more quality decades ago. Would I go back there? Probably not. Just my experience, as a resident of Orlando, an Annual Passholder, and a Vacation Club member since 1993. Swallow all of that Bob Chapek. And have a Disney kind of day.

Yay! No more bashing Boatwrights! Don’t get me wrong, it deserved all the bad press, but it’s nice to see an underdog show great improvement. Maybe they will take the dessert critique and use it to make some tweaks. Thanks for the review, I was hoping it would turn out favorably.
