Bob Bowman FULL Press Conference at 2024 San Antonio Pro Swim

New Texas Director of Swimming Bob Bowman met with the press in San Antonio on Friday to discuss a myriad of topics.
Bowman confirmed that the pro swimmers who trained with him at ASU would be following him to Austin for the lead up to the US Trials and Paris Olympics. He also revealed that he will be on the French coaching staff for the Paris Olympics and that Leon Marchand is done with NCAA swimming.

As an ASU alum, it sucks, but what are you going to do? Texas is a legendary program and probably offered him a lot more $$$. Still, what could have been at ASU after winning this year's title. Sigh.

I think long term itll be best for ASU because Herb is die hard ASU guy and its better to keep him rather lose him for another head coach job. He did say in his "press conference" on his instagram that the ASU head coach position will be the last job he ever takes

For people that are not fluent in english (and the french subtiutle orf youtube is just horrible) what bob said about the fact that he will be in the french team during OG ? and for others foreigners that he's actually coatching for OG ? thank you

Looks like will continue coaching everyone that he has been coaching for the Olympics, nothing really changes regarding what their plan for Paris is. The only difference is that Bob will officially be on the French staff
