With appearances by HRH Prince Charles, Alanis Morissette, The Who, Ronnie Wood, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger, Billy Connolly, Dave Gilmour, Jim Callaghan, Jeffrey Rosen, Barron Tabura and last but certainly not least Larry.
The fact he has 5 other musicians playing with him tells you that it's all well rehearsed not just Dylan playing what he wants. Not too many musicians can breathe new life into 60 year old songs every time they play them. That's why I and many others have seen Dylan live many many times cause it's different every time. I've seen McCartney once don't have too see him again it's the exact same show every time year after year. Roll on Bob the King.
Thanks for this. How curious and common it is that so often despite his unassuming presence Bob finds himself foreground - in this case at the right hand of the future king for the photoshoot. What musings and reflection he must enjoy!
Bob looks so shy and so humble here (3:48) like any ordinary nice human being. That is why i love him so much..I never saw him as a rock and roll's wild guy. In my opinion he is an ordinary human being and that is what makes him different. 💖💐💐💖
He looked REALLY wasted ( you can see it in his eyes). This was near the end of his booz and pills daze, that only his near fatel hart infection would only bring a thankfull end to.
I don't think he has much time for royalty. Inherited positions of power would not go down well with Dylan's strong social conscience. I think he was trying to ignore Charles' small-talk without seeming overly rude. But it's impossible to get a real idea from 3seconds of footage I suppose.
I have dined with kings and been offered wings and i never been too impressed. I dont think Bob gives a shit what title anyone has Though he did admire Jimmy Carter
The tone of the newsreaders is quite negative. And yet, 24 years later Dylan, The Who and Clapton had all been planning 2020 tours before the pandemic sidelined that.
I wonder what will come out of Bob having so much more time to himself. Must be a nice break from exhausting touring. I guess he's been locked down at his Point Dume home where he has a recording studio.
Exactly. It was pretty patronising, it seems every sentence was peppered with the slur "rock dinosaur". I mean where's miss whoever now and what's she doing? I'd also imagine she's no spring chicken anymore! 😂
That's a classic freeze frame - Bob Dylan looks as though he's been run over by a teddy bear, Prince Charles says Nanu-Nanu and all under the watchful goggled eye patch of Roger Daltrey - hilarious shot - I can't stop laughing!!
This is cool Wooly! Thank you!Slightly dramatic and interesting! Connelly that outrageous comic Scotsman assuages the tension with his bombastic humour! Yes I love it and Bob with his shades and reluctant, smile, Ronny beside him with his winning smiles and warmth and Daltrey with his bullseye eye patch! You can’t make this cool stuff up! Lol I do have to say the press was obnoxious and unfairly brutal!
Golly gosh don't worry about the critic's that's life. The joy behind this is to see all those unique people working towards uniqueness in community. Personally 26 years later I did a talk last year for the HRH princes trust and helped share and care a view of true blue life down under. If not for times like these, I would of never been able to freely talk about the unkindness we have to each other and how honest kindness helps more then money☕🌈. I'm gosh ta today mr tambourine and Woolhall wow I'm lucky ok I'm to happy blurting away. I'm amazed. ☕🌈☕🙃🙃🎹
One of those occasions where you can make of it what one will. Should you decide to enjoy it, it is quite all right, scruples over it being the most conspicuous form of leisure given the location though.
She also says @ 4:27 “... these rock dinosaurs are still a long way from extinction.” 🦖🦕 🦖 *Fossils?* *Dinosaurs?* *Exstinction?* I think this reporter must have secretly wanted to be a palaeontologist! Lol
@@edwinrichards6431 No it is not funny but the reporter is laughable because she is ridiculous to use such terms! That is the only part that’s funny! Because of the absurdity of the statement! But no not funny in the usual sense but very foolish and obnoxious! She insulted herself really!
Some of these rock 'dinosaurs' (to quote what is said here) still rule the earth! (Whilst the snooty journalists are completely irrelevant and forgotten!)
Why report what the critics think when you can see and hear these performers with your own ears and eyes? To much emphasis on what others want you to think....
I was THERE and it was amazing - minus jackass Gary Glitter. Ronnie Wood joined Bob Dylan for his set and that was a treat because I am a Stones fan. Clapton played a great final set, and Trevor McDonald was the highlight of The Who's Quad set, which was ho-hum.
That hasn't aged well for the condescending narrators , "Dylan managed to crank himself up" . . . .he's one of the worlds great living poets , still alive and performing 25 years later . . .as is Daltrey , Clapton and Sir Mick . . . .not sure where Gary Glitter is . . .
Dignity was written for 'Oh Mercy' at least 8 years earlier. Then a 'single' of it was recorded and released in 1994, before he played it on the MTV 'unplugged' show.
Daltrey - always the trooper. But the snotty tone of the reporter and the needless panning of what appear to be very good performances suggest some kind of culture war agenda. Rock dinosaurs? They're still going now decades later, packing concert halls and festivals.
