Bob Monroe on the Consciousness Enhancing Benefits of Gateway Voyage 

I'm so glad I came across this video because I'm currently in the first stage of the Gateway Project through the program called Alpha Biocode. This is the first video I've ever seen of Robert Monroe himself. I love the clear presentation in his distinctive, gentle, measured tone of voice. I bought his books entitled "Journeys Out of the Body" and "Far Journeys" in the 1980s. I'm going to read the first one this summer, and the other one later on. I'm an 80 year old man, and I'm trying to raise my consciousness to a higher level before I die. I joined the Alpha Biocode program last November. It includes lessons in the Gateway Porject. I feel that all this has come into my life at the right time to prepare me for my transition to another plane or dimension of existence. Yes, I'm more than my physical body. I know this because I've had out of body experiences long ago before I came across the wonderful Gateway Project.

i wish we had more real researchers like this and not all the self help gurus we have today

To each their own all respect. I have a friend who attended when Bob was there. He had a 95% success rate for identifying photos and nurtured this ability through the program. He said it was life changing, in a really nice way. One would need to make a decision to “go with it” otherwise it would be sci fi. I had access to the exercise material briefly and the experience I had several times was extraordinary. I came away with a whole new sense of wonder about what it is to be human. Other times it was merely irritating and I would “click out.” or go to sleep. Such is the way of it. I believe Bob was onto something. Real technologies and not merely new age comfort anecdotes.

I have taken the Gateway program in Monroe institute and totally recommend it, a life changing program👍

I am not afraid to die, I am actually looking forward to it. My human form has many things wrong with it, each day is a struggle for survival. And this is where my rage comes from, dealing with all my health problems. It wears you down and you just want to be free from it.

The two main instruments that help to create a 'fear' of physical death. Are 1. The annual birthday ritual. And 2. By repeatedly being asked "how old are you?". And why is that? Well, these two events have the effect of creating a 'false attachment' to your physical body. They teach you that you are the body that you currently occupy. And of course, as you begin to see other bodies around you dying. This in turn makes you 'think' that you are also going to die. Now. The next intelligent question is of course. If I am not in fact my physical body. Who, or what am I? And, the answer to that question is quite simple. I am LIFE. I am the LIFE here now on the inside of this body. I have absolutely no idea what these tapes are but they are no joke. I entered what could only really be described as a deep, peaceful trance on just the first one on my literal first time. After the half hour was over, I felt so... detached (not in a bad way!). A sort of entrancing mental oneness that lasted maybe an hour with just... such an absolutely unique feeling. There really is nothing else like it. These things are real, try them for yourself. Crazy

I just started wave 2 after 2 weeks on wave one. 10 year meditator and this gateway material is excellent !

I wrote this some time ago.. "I'm starting to see a commonality among many concepts like meditation, awakening, enlightenment, being at one with God, Advaita, Christmas, Easter, being in the zone, living in the moment, even singing and dancing.. they all refer to the one state of mind. I like to call it our 'birth state' as at that point we have no conditioning to lead us elsewhere, just the grand potential to fully conceptualise the true nature of reality, while also being fully immersed in it. It concurs with the notion that as adults bogged down with idealised expectations and externally imparted desires, we must be prepared to forget everything we think we know before we go can truly knowing anything. So it is this realisation that the thing many of us ultimately seek is the one thing we've had all along, and always will have, which constitutes rebirth and the conquest over immortality."

What a wonderful man. You can identitfy the genuine people by their down-to-Earth approach, completely devoid of religious or spiritual overlay. The simple fact is that he did have these experiences, and they don't need any embellishment. I have had the same, by the way, and my way of accommodating these experiences has been similar.

i bought the gateway series, i think it was about in 600 dollars. it really expands the consciousness, i had 2 OBEs not during the exercise but i will say the exercises got me familiar with consciousness states and they taught me to keep my focus while in expanded consciousness.

I met Robert during an obe in 2005 during listening to one of the Gateway Voyage cds ,I love him so much.

Boy do i wish this man was still alive, could really use a talk with him about what i am experiencing.

ive been using the system over 40 plus years. I switched the light off a while back and only recently flipped it back on. results have been instant and varied but noticeable. Thanks for a lifetime of training whoever it was bringing it all together.

What a remarkable man he was. LOVE his book Journeys out of the Body. Possibly my favourite book ever as it gives me enormous comfort.

I wish I’d have known about him and his books in 1992 when I had my first OBE. I was absolutely terrified. I had no idea what was happening to me and thought I was either dying or going insane. It wasn’t until 2006 when I talked about it to someone for the first time that had OBE’s that I found out what it was. The thing that triggered it was I had started going for walks with my girlfriends for 3-5 miles at 5am every morning then I’d go back to sleep when I got home. It was in part waking up after only sleeping for 5-6 hours, doing physical activity, then going back to sleep. On day one I woke up in the paralyzation stage. I could only move my eyeballs. It was the single most terrifying thing I’d ever experienced in my 22 years of life. I just closed my eyes and prayed it would go away. Then the next day, just like Robert, I ended up on the ceiling, looking down at my body. As soon as I freaked out, I slammed back into my body. I thought well, I’m losing it for sure. But, I thought I’d rather be on the ceiling than wake up paralyzed again! So if it happens again, oh well. I didn’t die so I don’t care. Lol

A great talk on the evolution of our personal consciousness, and the obstacles we face while overcoming ourselves with our entrenched patterns of thought and behavior. Not even considering the fact that he's promoting his Gateway Voyage, he's talking about the way to self-realization and the process anyone on this journey will encounter without regard to the genuine systems or techniques employed. I resonate deeply with his ideas and the explanation he gives. Thanks for the video!

He was way ahead of his time! What he was teaching was not main stream at all. “Freedom from the known” is a course or workshop from a very special person, and this talk reminds me so much of him.

I wonder where all those participants are today. Much admiration for this man. Have started listening to and participating with the Gateway Exp tapes online and up to #3 ~ am already a far calmer, more content person within the moment of the now. It’s been really eye opening. Highly recommend for anybody interested in meditation and/ or consciousness

I've had OBE's since the death of my mom on my 6th birthday. It was the beginning of life's journey of trauma, abuse, trials, & tribulations. Since I've learned to forgive my abusers, captors, etc learned to love myself, I've been searching for answers. Answers to the past lives, NDEs & OBE's I've had. Afraid to speak or ask questions for fear of being called crazy, seeking attention. I'm fine with being an introvert, thanks to these videos, I'm able to make sense of some of my experiences and questions. I'd do anything to be able to be part of the Monroe community

I did a few lessons and had to do them a few times each for it to kick in. Prior to doing the lessons, I was meditating, lucid dreaming (a bit) and it really opened up my mind. However, once doing these lessons, it took a turn and my experiences were dark. I’d wake up feeling extremely confused and saw crazy horrible events. I had to stop doing them and took over a month to feel “normal”.

Hemi-sync is something I used to do when I was younger in the theta states. I would feel the vibrations your body gets when you’re in this state without listening to it in the tapes. That really made me less fearful.

Belief in the Unseen is basic to all religions, although it's been abused for money and power, it is still very real. Hindi's call physical life Maya ( Illusion). I no longer belong to a religion but having an OBE as an 8 or 9 year old, I know that is true. I was afraid of telling anyone for fear of being labeled as crazy because being a foreigner I was trying hard to learn English and to fit in. However without your body you have no physical pain only emotional. No nerve endings. So their explanations of Hell is not correct. Knowing that you survive death you lose fear of it. A downside is not being materialistic enough. We are much, much more than our physical bodies.

I have a OBE at least 2 or more a week. Especially when listening to the Gatway voyage.

I've had these phenomena occur sporadically throughout my life. They come and go without my bidding. I suppose I'm a natural but I don't practice any technique except being still and waiting for the visitation with humbleness and patience.

I'm doing the gateway experience at home now. I just started wave 2. Can't wait to have my first OBE!!

Robert Monroe is amazing person. I think what he didn't consider here and who knows, he knows better is that while we are more then our physical body, our body is the foundation of our consciousness ie. it will not work without it. Again, he is more knowledgable then me.

We need all studies to be peer-reviewed and openly published in scientific journals, and those studies must be reproduced in other, unaffiliated laboratories. Something of immense scientific value such as psi can't be hidden for long.

This is interesting. I'd never heard of Robert Monroe and I don't understant what he is saying here at all, but I'm fastinated and I want to learn all about it. I may even find and take the Gateway course to learn more, especially if its available for free or for a donation.

I don’t necessarily want an out of body experience. The feelings I get I. That space of consciousness is so beautiful in itself. I feel so many benefits in my life I am more relaxed at peace focused I’m an artist and I feel it when making art I’m decisive and prolific.

I believe that at the celebration of birthdays, the mother should be celebrated, the one who agreed to grow my physical body inside her physical body and then assumed the immense responsibility of keeping this body of mine healthy, and learn how to travel through this 3D world. The truth is that the job of mother lasts until the death of her physical body. In conclusion, I no longer give importance to this day of the first breath on this planet. All my respect for Mr. Bob Monroe for his achievements in working with himself during that pioneering period in this field. At that time we still did not have information from quantum physics that to confirm his conclusions. I am always amazed by his spiritual evolution, on the difficult path of the mind, it is a great achievement to get beyond the mind and its limitations. I love him and admire him with all consideration...only good thoughts for you, dear Bob, wherever you chose to continue your journey!

I had lots, lots OBEs in late 80s,90s then they slowly ceased. Instead, around 2992 I started to experience moving light energy everywhere, ;transparent orbs all connected by patterns..I wonder now if it is all preorganized by something bigger;part of the Hologram!!

So I have done session 1.. then I am listening to this on a speaker while on the treadmill and my dog barked and then 3 seconds later the barking echoed twice through my speaker. Wtf.

I can also leave my body. And I am conscious. Illusions. Don’t doubt a creator it will be the souls demise. What’s the big picture? This body is and all bodies are instruments in evolution of consciousness. I would alter that chart like this: The B the beginning of the new stage of evolutionary consciousness begins with birth. Through choices we make we and sometimes external factors that force restrictions on consciousness will either stengthen or damage the evolution of that conscious being. Your job is to inhabit the body for the progression of you. You are here to learn how to evolve on a very social scale of a shared evolution. Not only does your evolution rely on yourself. But here in this life it also relies on others. Forces at will are determined to test your preparedness to handle more awareness, more consciousness. Break down that fear and stop insatiable greed, lust, envy, gluttony, sloth, wrath, and pride. We’re all here together multiple varieties and even seperate entities. We know that it doesn’t end, what we don’t know is, when will new life begin again and under what circumstances shall be the next journey of consciousness. Testing testing, this is a test of your awareness and acknowledgment of your true potential to become the best you can be right now! Love each other.
