No joke, hearing Bob explain the premise of the album along with the music gave me a much better appreciation for this album and rock opera in general.
I know that whoever writes the music for bobs burgers will never read this, but I truly appreciate the level of love and work that goes into this show. Stuff like this album and this channel give a layer of depth that is not found very often! Keep on keepin on bobs burgers!
Bob’s relationship with his father could put another spin on why he likes Zentipede so much. The rocksperience telling a story about General Inzanity snuffing out creativity and eventually being overcome by a rebel inspiring an uprising and overthrow probably spoke to Bob, since Big Bob never let his son change the menu and was overly critical of a lot of his choices in general. As a matter of fact, him not wanting his creativity stifled as a result of this and not wanting to answer to a higher-up could probably partially explain why he didn’t go for Warren’s tiki theme either. Probably overthinking it but it kinda makes sense. Then again Zentipede as a band just slaps in general, so there’s that.
Still, that's not a bad thought. Bob obviously liked to be in control of his environment and seemed to want to do things his way. Having a dad tell him "no" certainly brought out that rebellious side of him and wanting to be independent.
I'm not sure I liked the Big Bob episode. He was horrible to his son and I don't think Bob should have been the one to apologize. Maybe if they showed us some positive side of their relationship it would have made more sense.
90% of the time, if there's a story about a father and son, you can bet the theme goes back to the dad's dad.. or rarely, the son's son. dad themes run deep. I'm so glad Jim Dauterive got another big show after King of the Hill because you can really feel softer versions of Hank-Bobby plots with Bob and Gene.
@@bdp8102 They've moved into that more lately. I think the main reason Bob apologised is because he showed his Dad up in front of his customers (twice). Big Bob at least acknowledges that he was rather lacking as a father. Bob on the other hand, is an occasionally bumbling but always well-meaning father (which Big Bob acknowledges) and he knows that it's much easier to make that small apology.
I thought this was a real band at first. But now that I know it's the same guys who write the music for the show... We simply don't deserve you! This was amazing!
It's actually a parody of Rush's 2112, if you're interested. It's meant to be a dystopian sifi epic about the freedom of artistic expression. Attention Humans of America is almost identical to the ending of 2112. The references were on point in this episode. One of my favorite episodes.
At the very least, a full side of an album, like 2112. Can we crowdfund this & commission Tim Dacey and the Elegant Too to finish writing & record the complete General Inzanity?
@@fauziAme king gizzard and the lizard wizard's album "murder of the universe". It tells three different stories: one of a man who finds a beast who he merges with to gain its power, the second of a showdown between a lightning casting evil wizard and a balrog, and the third is about a cyborg who wants to feel like a human by experiencing death and vomiting. The stories all connect and they're referenced in other bits of the king gizz's discography. The music itself sounds almost exactly like this, but just a little heavier.
The first time seeing the Zentipede episode I immediately hoped for an episode, or webisode, with the full animated laser show from "Bob's youth". Also thought it would be AMAZING to have a legit Bobs Burgers / Zentipede light show at IMAX theaters and planetariums across the country.
This is a replica of the precursor to modern metal and you're living in the golden age of metal (in terms of variety at least). There are bands you'd like out there if you like this
My favorite band is rush but all i hear in only resembles iron maiden apart from the first track attention all humans of America that reminds me of 2112 at the end when they say attention all humans off the solar federation we have assumed control
Listen to some of the older albums by RUSH. That's what this is a parody of. Specifically the albums 2112, A Fairwell to Kings and Hemispheres. Lots of good music. Very epic.
I love how much work these guys put into the music that goes on the show. it's just awesome. I love this. The intro is Rush, there's a bit of Pink Floyd, and "Let My People Rock Part 1" even reminds me of Coheed and Cambria. Awesome stuff.
@@stuffmewithpasta756 I was reminiscing about a nice memory, and you had to go and make it all RU-vid-Comment-y. Ya proud of yourself? That really who you wanna be?
@@Biochemitra I thought the horrid consistency that was at the show I went to also was at others. We had mishaps, music going in and out because of wind, and I saw a group of college guys running across the field streaking when I was at the age of 12. You, however, had a nice memory- which great, glad it was pleasant. I did not. So I disagree with the "authenticity". You're allowed to have a pleasant memory, wish I could say the same for me.
My dad grew up in a Rock band back in the 80s. He was a seriously talented drummer and this episode reminds me of all the times we’d listen to 80s music in the car together, while he educated my teenage mind on music and bands from the 1980s. Nothing can compare to music from that era. Great episode! 🤘🎸🎶
My dad is a huge metalhead and classic rock fan so this episode reminded me so much of my early childhood where my dad got me into all the shit I like today
My wife isn’t a fan when out of no where I sing “Let my people rock”. She told me I’m getting weirder. I told her she’s getting lamer and to stop being such a general inzanity.
Bob & I used to be “Loose-Cannons” back in high school . I remember smoking multiple Tie-Sticks along with taking a hefty dose of acid “we were so fucked up” . That’s my memory of the two us going to see these guys play in concert . They rock hard ..
Yo this is genuinely one of my fave bands/albums despite the fact that Zentipede is a made up band. I want more in future episodes so bad! I’ve got the NEED FOR ZENTIPEEEEEEDE!!!!
Attention Humans of America: (spoken:) Attention, humans of America I am General Inzanity, and I have seized control, control, Control! General Inzanity Intro: Give my robots your guitars The time has come to forget about who you are Dig up those rocks and build my fortress Let My People Rock (Part 1): We don't need no bots Let my people rock We are not machines We like to wear tight jeans You have no control Let my people rock Roll a Rock to Rock and Roll: Roll a rock to rock and roll-a Roll a rock to rock your soul A rock to rock and roll-a Robots don't get rock and roll-a Roll a rock to rock and soul your rock to rock and roll-a Yeah
I don´t actually catch the show oftenly but got surprised on this awesome album; the voices, the guitar solos, everything is super cool. And the story in it that Bob is telling is kid : WOW!!!!! amazing episode. TOTTALY AMAZING LITTLE ALBUM
Bob to me is the ultimate of all the cartoon dads. The whole show in general is just so much more sincere and real with their characters than any other cartoon about a family i have watched. The scene where he explains the story of The Rebel to Gene in the car with the little car lighter, remains my favorite scene of the show.
I get some serious Ziltoid vibes from this ♡♡ Bob's Burgers meets Devin Townsend Project In all seriousness though, it's amazing the writers keep upping the quality of the musical endeavours in this show. From season 1 riffs to this full on experience ♡♡
What is it with cartoons having really awesome music that will never be for sale? The Simpsons (SADGASM), Bob's Burgers (Zentipede) Phineas and Ferb (The whole set of tunes). There should be a compilation album out there. Your stuff is so good!
