I love and respect the fact that Kevin Kline has not only continuously voiced Mr. Fischoeder for over 10 years but has also written some of the songs he sings. I just like how it's a pretty silly show but everyone puts their heart and soul into it
The best feeling is when you watch this scene on the episode, think "hey I like that song. I'm going to look it up on youtube to hear it again" and you get a whole video just for this song....best feeling ever.
@@michaelbronco1023 My dad has prostate cancer now and I'm waiting to get out of work to show him this. I hope we have much more time. I'm truly sorry to hear about your mother and I wish you a very merry Christmas.
@@pezb2616 so sorry to hear that, I hope they caught it early so they can send it into remission. Good luck, and thank you. Hope he enjoys the video as much as my mom did. Merry Christmas to you and your family, especially your dad.
Stephen Louis i really can't get over that fact. i think someone as respected as him in their industry is doing Bob's burgers for kicks and fun. ooooh bourbon.
I'm constantly amazed, not just that they got Kevin Kline to provide his magnificent voice on a regular basis, but that it's actually some of the best work of his career.
Honestly, as someone who has been fascinated by animation and voice acting since childhood, Kevin Kline's performance as Mr. Fischoeder is one of the most spectacular I've ever witnessed.
I like to imagine they just asked Kevin Kline to improvise a christmas song based on alcohol and told him "We're really only gonna use the first part, but go nuts" and he subsequently did.
Yeah, how was that scene done. Do you actually have a 3 dimensional model of the characters that you can interact with or did you have to develop each frame? I'm very intrigued.
I worked all year on practicing this song so I can get wasted and play this on the inlaw's piano, and sing. It went off perfectly! They want me to sing it again this year!
Every time Fischoeder sings a song I tell my wife, "that's Kevin Kline academy award winner, multiple Tony award winner, the pirate king from the pirates of Penzance, singing like that" makes me smile Everytime.
Oh, bourbon! The only thing about this video that sticks in my craw is that there isn't a coaster under that lovely glass of bourbon - but I suppose that when you're a Fischoeder, you can just buy a new piano.
"This is a 12,000 dollar bottle of bourbon. I've just added to the piano's value. Think of that ring-shaped stain as another zero at the end of the pricetag"
My favourite thing about this music video is the idea that Mr. Fish demanded this song and he told Louise he wanted five minutes and Louise gave him four and not a minute longer 😂
Why haven't I seen this before? Seriously Mr. Fischoeder killed it...now I know what he truly loves :) P.S. I have no idea why but I love the song and felix dancing at 0:31 as well as the 360 shot with probably the best part of the song!
@1:13 is the best "oh bourbon" of them all. Right when the semantic satiation hits and you're not even sure what words are and then he says it extra weirdly and my brain implodes
I keep Bob's Burgers on as my constant background noise while I work. I'm only half paying attention throughout the day and sing along to countless amazing songs. A Hulu commercial with John Legend came on, I mistook it for this episode and now can't get past the similarities in the hook. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EMgNdh4bz1E.html
Three years later and I still love this so very much. And there's so much to love: not just the great work of KK, but the amazing sound effects work on the skates, the glitter effects, the way the animation dips and swirls. This is really an amazing piece of art on every level and I am grateful for all the work that went into it.
I love the animation for this, and I love that felix seems so happy and at peace for once! 😁 Usually, he is always at odds with his older bro, but here they're just working together happily! It's a nice change, I think.
This show is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Keep up the amazing work!!! Huge kudos and thanks to all those who work on this awesomely comedic series.
