It's a whole different experience to sit and listen to the words than just recognizing it from background noise on the radio or bits played in movies, isn't it? Seger is one of my generation's best storytellers, and that's saying something with company like James Taylor, John Denver, Jim Croce, Cat Stevens, and Harry Chapin. Thanks for reacting to him - I'm enjoying sharing this with you!

The backup vocals in Night moves is also in two of these songs... Sharon Lee Williams, Rhonda Ward and Laurel Silver. What’s really cool is Bob’s use of thunder in two situations; first in the Chevy and then (much) later in life. One of some hot backseat action and the other reflection. I remember. Oh yeah the stunning change in tempo to full stop came from seeing Springsteen able to use it in “Born to Run”. A brilliant idea in song structure that changes everything.

@Patrol Gaming I absolutely loved your reaction to Night Moves, Bob Seger is a legendary singer from michigan, I grew up listening to him and other 70s and 80s era stuff when I was a kid, and when I got older I started realising what he meant in his lyrics, He snuck in those subtle dirty lyrics back in the day, but had a tasteful and smooth way of doing it lol. Basically when i gather from it, he and another small town girl had a very active fling over the summer who happened to be his "first" he was with, and where he says "He felt the lightning" it's a reference on how he suddenly developed feelings for her when back in the day it was still basically a "no strings attached" situation lol. And when he said "waited on the thunder" was him waiting to see if she reciprocated the same feelings...and when I read his autobiography it all clicked with me, when he referenced "With autumn closing in" in the lyrics, it has double meaning, meaning a change in seasons and in his life, it was referring to the fact that she became more and more distant with him, In his real life in his younger years he had a summer fling with a girl who was his very first, caught feelings for her, at the end of summer he found out from someone that she had a boyfriend who joined the military and left overseas, and that she was just using him for sex and stringing him along and when the boyfriend came home she just completely dropped Bob like a bad habit. All the same it's a great song, and knowing it's a true story with feelings put into it made it even better. Great video bro, I am definitely subbing to you!
