Mine is made a little differently. It is a Brother. I have some up and down play on the bobbin. The winder piece fits into the bobbin at all points. It just does not turn when I hit the power.

thanx u r a doll! my problem is that it won't pull from the spool, the power stops at the spool on Kenmore 158.18800 ... if I unwind the spool by hand and feed it it will wind onto the bobbin! What's up with that?

man, i hope that's all that is wrong with mine!! i'll have to check that out tomorrow. i figured it would be something hard. thanks so much for posting this video and saving me $100 on a service call. i have a white rotary 710. it takes a very specific and uncommon bobbin (i believe the original part number is 4386. the modern made bobbins that are supposed to work, don't. do you have any ideas on where i might find some original vintage ones? i only have the one bobbin that came with the machine. thanks.

I've got a Kenmore 158.19312 and when I pull the clutch out to wind a bobbin, the needle bar continues to travel. Do I have a stuck clutch? How do I fix this?
