Yes they was my era they loved and appreciated us. They really did NE prepared me for love and Janet let’s wait a while. I had the best era of music they are all I listen to.
@@Lyvette2000 ... The truth. It's was more about loving making as opposed what we hear now. Slow jams and dancing with your woman was so much fun. It was about closeness.
Man, Bobby was the man. Nobody can take away what he accomplished in the industry. Despite the problems he had later in his life. He was so talented. Let’s not forget, Bobby Brown in his prime couldn’t be touch, he gave quite a number of beautiful hits.
@@thomashoyle3961 Some believe it was the other way around. Depends on who lenses you are looking through. Bobby Brown did take a bad wrap. Many believed Bobby started Whitney on drugs! It was her brother. The story goes ....! Uncle Charlie is definitely a Miracle. To comeback from near death!
Yea like half of the album single went platinum and gold and sold 7 million copies in one decade shown in the billboard hot 100 until the year end during the 80s you had to fight to make it on their. Also fighting stereotypes
Bobby was born with natural talent who was destined to be a superstar with a lot of swag singing & dancing on the big stage. Still I have to give a big shout out especially to "Babyface" to, seeing Face is the one who wrote & produced the majority of the songs on Bobby's "Don't Be Cruel" LP. Including this jam we're rocking to with Bobby right here, "Rock Wit'cha." Just saying...
"It's okay, thickness, you'll be here in the morning.", oh man, that line 😍😍😍 The new generation should consider listening to this classic R&B hit of 1989. For me, this was kinda like the "Versace on the Floor" of 1989. 😉 Bobby Brown definitely deserves the title "The King of R&B", shared with R. Kelly, Usher, and Chris Brown.
Let's not forget about that man named Robert, from Chicago... I know the legal problems are despicable, but musically there's not much debate about the King of R&B.
Bobby was the original bad boy of R&B the man was apart of the best R&B group of all time got kicked out and dominated in his solo career Bobby was that dude you had to be there in order to witness this greatness Bobby is a living legend he deserves his flowers!!
You can't forget about, "James Brown" either even though JB was AKA The Godfather of Soul," he was all that & considered a Soul/R&B/Funk artist, song writer & producer. Just saying...
@@SFBenjaminK No doubt about it of Bobby's influence on them both. And no dis to Chris & although MJ had a big influence on Chris, Usher was also a major influence on Chris Brown. Usher was the reason how Chris's mom discovered her son's talent by watching & hearing him mimic Usher in the house. Which gave her the push to help pursue Chris's career in music. Real Talk! ✌️😉
Both kings Bobby Brown and Keith Sweat will always be winners in my book. People forgot just how dope Bobby was, but I’ll never forget. Bobby Brown got hits, bangers, and classics
@@jhernandez626 It was LA. Reid and Babyface who produced it. They were a producing duo from 1987-1993. LA. Reid mostly do all the beats for the songs they produce.
I love this song. Not just for the romantic side but of the instrumentation and arrangement. I always love the 80s slow jams for that. Nice n relaxing. Modern music will never touch it. Im blessed to have been born in that era. Pure magic!
Yes it was. But it wasn't just Bobby. Luther, George Benson, Al Jarreau, Jeffrey Osbourne, James Ingram, Peabo Bryson, etc. Bobby was at the top though. And yes; we'll never see anything like the 80's again 😞😞
Every song on it was banging , every boy in my school had a gumby haircut, everyone copied the dance steps in Every Little Step and My Prerogative. We played the album till the cassettes got all twisted then we moved on to the remixes and did the same . Badass !
O My ...... My teenage crush....... the lips the eyes....... the chocolate skin...... the bump and grind. Goosebumps and lots of smiles. Who didn't want Bobby Brown and that gumby hair cut
This takes me back to the neighborhood basketball games in the 80s🏀 games when the sun goes down 🌅 and that one cute girl from the neighborhood smiling ready to rock with me
Bobby Brown don't get enough credit for his influence on R&B. he was at the top of the new jack swing movement that gave way to a lot of artists after its stint. Chris Brown is a great example.
I don’t care what nobody say! Bobby was, is, and forever will be bad! This boy... nobody could touch his sound or his style back in the day! Despite anything that went on with his personal life in the later years with Whitney...I ain’t mad at him at all, because we all have sinned and come short of the Glory. We as a people are just super blessed with such great talents and abilities. Bobby nobody can touch! He headed the future of the artist that we see today like Chris Brown and Usher! We still love you Bobby! I hope he reads these comments sometimes! ☺️❤️🥰 Nothing but the best!
I totally agree with you but everyone was saying he turnt whitney on to drugs when she was already using so to me opinions os just like assholes everyone has one!!! Hes emotional and sensitive in everything he does that's why you have to groove to his songs!!
He killed it back then to be honest ppl just don't want to say it cause the drug's he was the man bro if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be no new edition he wanted them join him in the talent show
Whitney wasn't crazy, he was statistically the King of R&B in his prime (short-lived) but still, no "R&B" artist was going platinum then. MJJ & Prince had already crossed over to Pop, so they are not included. For R&B, it was Bobby, and then later came Kells - R. Kelly.
This is not it, I was a teenager back in the 80s, never forget these famous bands and stars an R&B pop stars back in the 80s, still listen to them and his in my playlist , probably till I die, u would never forget your childhood and your teenage years🥰😘
This joint is my fav by BB. When Whitney shouted out Bobby at the AMA’s by calling him, the King of R&B, folks thought that she just being nice to her man, but in reality from 87-90, he was the undisputed King.
@@jhonram2496 Two Can Play That Game wasn't released as a single in the U.S. It didn't chart in the U.S. Also, what acting roles that were notable did he have in 1994? None. R. Kelly's album 12 Play went triple platinum that same year in 1994 and that album had a #1 Hot 100 hit.
@@fusionn4316 I'm not disagreeing that kells was killing the game in the 90s but bobby wasn't done and was still also making hits . Two can play that game remix was no.1 in uk R&B no.4 in uk dance no.6 in uk pop no.3 in uk singles and was no.3 ,no.4 and no.5 in the Netherlands ,Scotland and Sweden. Bobby still had success 😂 and was making hits . Not only that a thin line between love in hate "96" but was filmed in "95" made 34.8 million at the box office and this was released before the home agian album
Sumayya'Iah Konjo I remember watching this video the first time. It hit in the clubs quick. He was so skinny back then. I never like skinny guys. But I like his music. Lol
I disagree, you haven’t been paying attention. This song was top ten & this particular single was sold out as soon as it touched the record stores. But OK, if you say so.
For all you youngster who see Bobby Brown now, and wonder what Whitney saw on him, Take a look, he had looks, he could dance, he could sing and he had charisma.
Funny I never realized just how talented BB was back in the day until I rewatched these videos. Incredible talent and his dancing takes it to another level.
As far as I'm concerned, the whole damned world owes Bobby Brown an apology. Let's not pretend that Bobby wasn't the Man back then...you're only lying to yourselves!😂❤
The world needs to apologize to them selves for being hyprocites. Every one of us has done something stupid that we need everyone to forgive. He messed up. So have we. The guy has made memories for people that made families and brought families back together. If, not, it makes you want one again. The guy is a legend on stage with Luther and others that impacted people. Only a few of them did. Old school quality.
damn I missed this Bobby Brown I feel so bad for him how his life turned out the drugs alcohol Whitney dying Bobbi Kristina died just horrible. I pray he can find happiness for the rest of his life 😇😇😇😘😘😘
+Regis F being famous comes with a lot of responsibility and I just don't think when you're young you're able to handle it so some of these young Stars they turn to drugs and alcohol and mostly screw up their life but I wish that they would get well and let the Lord lead them.
+Danielle Collins that is true , I can't really judge because I don't know I would handle all the fame and money and all the new so called friends. Some are able to make it through others are not so lucky .
Almost 30 years later and it's still all good. They've been doggin' you out for years, but I'm still a fan, Bobby. I even bought the Forever album just off the strength of Feelin' Inside. Anyway, this whole album is a Quiet Storm classic. Every single song knocked. This is one of my favorites though.
Yes!!! My daddy surprised me with this tape out of the blue one day. I played it hot! 💥🔥💥 Bobby had my eight old tail thinking stuff I shouldn't have. Lol.
I just got back from the New Edition concert in Vegas. It was extraordinary. Bobby did his thing. So proud of him that he was able to put the past to rest and join the other members for a memorable concert. That is what it is all about the music. You go Bobby.
