April 2020 still watching this video. I'd already had his cassette tapes in 1992 even I didn't know how the singer looks a like. In the cover only shown drawing of his shadow. :) Still love to hear and watch Bobby's performance.
Glad I found this clip. In times past he appeared to be a 'one hit wonder' artist as 'What You won't do for Love' got all the airplay. However, he does have video "Perfect Island Night" which I am in love with. I think this band is tight and I like how the producer credited them on screen as they played. As for Bobby himself, I like his swagger. Kinda like Sinatra (the suit & hat) and Gato Barbarri (the coat). Would like to hear and see more of him.
Saw Bobby in concert at an old cabaret theater in Denver in the mid 90s and as he got into his concert he started playing some frank Sinatra and my wife started to complain as he brought the house down with the best jazz I ever heard and my wife's bitching faded away after a few more drinks ahh what a great concert 😀
i was young but i totally remember VHS tracking skips this still goes hard tho'..run it thru Sony Oxford Inflator & iZotope Ozone obvs Yamaha HS80M reference monitors + YST sub + audio interface P.S. Bobby/Hyman/Mariah/Sia..hit hard always..but especially 'round the holidays
Es exageradamente perfecto! Un completo genio, aparte que el grabo casi todo en los discos, en vivo su voz es increíble y la armonía de su música es exquisita
Wow. Caldwell is the Pasha of cool and dont that coat prove it. Love this video SO much Thank you for posting SO special EDIT unique voice/sinus cavity/breath/larynx. Bobby is simply a miracle, and this is one Terrific video Thanks again Congrats on on superb sound recording
They just don't make singers like this, anymore! His voice sounds incredible, during the live performance. These days, we have to suffer through the music of Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, and Ariana Grande.
No we don't, just don't play bad music and your good. There's more good music nowadays then anytime in history. We can call on the past masterpieces and we can enjoy so many new pieces. If you choose to play mainstream music that's up to you, that's on you playboy.
@@robertfaro9756 Turn off the radio my brother. No one is forcing you to be another one of the masses, do your own thing and forget about the program they built for you my friend.
@Ray Marshall Perhaps you don't understand what I said. I said we have more great music today than ever before because of the sheer number of records made. I don't debate that music from decades ago(for the most part) had a great deal more character, warmth, depth and originality than much of what is played today. I am saying we simply have access to more great music today than years before. Magic is made everyday, you just have to look for it.
What a big influence Stevie Wonder has on most artist's like myself, Vocally and Musically speed the show up and you might think it's Stevie in most parts, quite weird ay!..PEOPLE STAY IN......BE SAFE....
I love his amazing voice!!! And his musicians are fire too!!! But I noticed that almost all his songs are about heartache and lost love. Makes me wonder.
Thanks for posting this video. I never knew who he really was....and I'm an avid music fan of all genres. What you Won't Do For Love is one of the greatest songs of all-time. I had never watched a video of him before today though...
