Wonderful memories. Going on 72, and Bobby waz an idol along with Sandra Dee, Bobby Rydel, Annette and Frankie, the songs, loved polka dot bikini, Bob Hope Show, Dinah Shore. Wish I could have a do-over. Great days to be a teenager. Sigh, sigh.
Thanks for posting...... Totally hysterical, I haven't laughed so much for ages and I ended up in tears..... Bob Hope and Bobby Darin worked great together...... Bobby was always a great sport and loved to appear on shows of the greats learning so much from them which helped him to perfect his own craft in the business of entertaining.... I do remember this show going to air, wonderful memories... RIP BOBBY DARIN & BOB HOPE TWO AWESOME COMEDIANS TOGETHER IN HEAVEN !
I saw this NBC-TV show the night it aired on WJBF, Augusta, GA; and, I recorded the audio of this hilarious duet medley on reel-to-reel tape. I replayed it so many times that I still remember a good bit of it. It's great to see it again after all these years. Judging from the picture quality and sound, your source seems to be the original video tape rather than a kinescope recording. Although the sound quality is better than what was heard over the 5khz channels used to feed affiliate stations around the country, it's unfortunate that it contains so many audio dropouts. Maybe "someday", I'll try to fill them in with my old tape recording. Thanks for posting.
