Bobby Fischer wins with the Fischer-Sozin Attack in 17 moves

Bobby Fischer produced a chess miniature against Peter Dely in 1967. In reply to black's Sicilian Classical variation, Fischer employed the Fischer-Sozin Attack. This game's key element is time. Black wastes it, and Fischer quickly pounces, executing the main idea of the Fischer-Sozin Attack and forcing black's resignation after only 17 moves.
PGN:
1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 Nc6 6. Bc4 e6
7. Bb3 a6 8. f4 Qa5 9. O-O Nxd4 10. Qxd4 d5 11. Be3 Nxe4
12. Nxe4 dxe4 13. f5 Qb4 14. fxe6 Bxe6 15. Bxe6 fxe6 16. Rxf8+

I said it once and I'll say it again; this is by far the best chess channel on You Tube. Unlike all the others this one isn't based on selling us memberships anywhere or advertising their GM's or the players they have and so on. Quick introduction, not 30 seconds or a minute of bs. Just goes straight to business, this is just pure chess. I love it that you always go through the most important variations at just the right moment in the game plus you always explain why someone resigned by demonstrating the options they had. I would subscribe 10x over if I could. Thanks Mr. Jerry from Pennsylvania for all the work you do. Fantastic stuff.

Best chess GM re-play video I have ever seen. No intervention during the game, (just explaining the moves that the GM's made, not the channels distracting variations. Very very important to me.), and playing out the possibilities after a resignation. By far, the best way to show a game of history. I nominate you personally, this guy and this vid, for the YT Pulitzer prize of, "Just show the damn game!", award. :) With the others, it is like working on a tough engineering case, with your kids bugging you.

That's the enduring quality of Fischer that allowed the game to become a high stakes sport & accessible to the mainstream as well as allowing him to chalk up so many victories... the BEST DEFENSE is an attacking position... it makes for exciting chess & demands creativity & thinking out of the box... Fischer challenged himself more than his opponents & that drive is at the heart of what made him who he was

At 6:30, After the Black Queen move from f8 to e7. The King should Castle to g8... (The King had not moved and I think it is actually still legit to castle). This will put White in a real bad spot... This can force a Queen trade eventually or otherwise gives Black an extra move that will potentially make White lose... It will take White one turn to take the Black Rook d7, but that frees all of Black pieces and gives Black an extra turn for the the Queen and Rook to move now. This could then take the game to a new angle... Like moving the Black Queen e7 to e8 to retrieve a piece back. Try that :) That move was really interesting though, like forced the opponent to clog himself up... Really nice explanation video.

@PasseScience
@PasseScience 6 лет назад
Boxing Focus: It's like watching a race between a cheetah and Usain Bolt and complain the last one was not in it's best day. I'd also point your attention to the fact it's usually part of Deepmind communication strategy to let a small hope. They challenged Fan Hui saying they just wanted to "test their program" they challenged Lee Sedol showing him the "poor games" with Fan Hui (but made him fight something 300 elo stronger), they challenged Ke Jie showing him 60 example games so he can train (but made him fight something yet again 300 elo stronger). When a company like Deepmind announces this kind of thing be sure they can backup it way more than what you think (especially in a context in which it's trivial with the shitload of existing 3000elo+ programs for benchmark). But the enthusiasms here is not about the end result anyway :) it's about the WAY AZ cruches its opponent in each game, do not focus your attention on how Usain Bolt managed to loose the race, focus your attention on how the cheetah is running. And keep in mind this thing will have the same success, in shogi, in go, or in any variation of chess (king of the hill etc...), mostly any boardgames. Betting on a program that is strong and can be made stronger is not a wise bet when the alternative is betting on a program which is good at learning how to be strong and can be made better at learning.
