I’ll be honest, first time seeing Rick glassman’s podcast. I feel like this isn’t normally how it is. Or maybe it is and it’s the extreme version of it? Idk but fucking hell rick actually does have a unique style of comedy and his timing is even his own style. I love it.

Bobby certainly makes for an abnormal episode, but I’d say Rick is the same in every pod for the most part, he’s honestly got the greatest comedy pod out right now

It's pretty much how he always is but his timing and wittiness gets pretty unreal in other episodes. The ones with Bobby always throw ya a curveball. I have a sneaking suspicion that before they start recording, him and his guest have a quick little pow wow and say "okay let's have fun with this concept.." and then they basically do improv for the whole thing. And when it's two really good actors (like in this episode) it's hard to tell if any of it is "truth" - although I'm sure there's a bigger discussion there about how even when you're pretending and saying lies it can reveal truths about both the actors and all that stuff. I work at Autozone.

This ongoing skit where they’re contentious with each other yet simultaneously seeking one another’s approval is pretty entertaining. The feeling created of having to earn something keeps this interaction interesting. It’s like they’re dating & at the point of falling for each other but they’re trying to stop their feelings from progressing any further.

I may have commented this before in a video last year, but I don’t think people realize the HUGE quality of life detail of having the phone connected directly to your audio interface so that your audience can have crystal clear audio compared to when people just put it on speaker and jam it right next to the microphone. You’re still the GOAT when it comes to details like that!!! Love you man!

It has been 4 years and 11 months since the first Bobby Lee episode that introduced me to TYSO and Rick Glassman. Back in those days we were in the comments of every episode saying things like "This is going to blow up" or "This deserves so many more views" . Glad to see Rick finally getting the subs and views but he still deserves more. Thanks Rick for all the hard work you put into TYSO.

Rick can sniff manipulation out in a second and is just on the spectrum enough to voice what everyone is usually too socially conditioned to not point out in polite conversation. It is very cathartic to watch.

I actually think Rick is less funny when he's being hostile/combative and it has a tendency to derail things especially with Bobby who's at his funniest when he's being his free wheeling off the cuff self. IMHO he should've shown more deference to Bobby who's his comedy elder and gracing him with his presence even though he'd rather be home playing video games.
