@yeastnecklace

halfway through this clip i decided to watch “get out” as i’ve already seen “us” and “nope” and thought they were great, and bobby’s praise of “get out” convinced me. and holy. fucking. shit. i know it was jordan’s first thriller movie out of the three, but it truly blows the others out of the fucking water. not only is it an incredibly compelling thriller movie that gives you a peek into the paranoia that some black people living in america may feel as black americans, but on the flip side it also has some great comedy relief that kept me from clenching my asshole out of suspense for the hour or so that it started getting insane. i’d say i’ve watched a decent amount of thriller and horror movies but the ones i’ve seen don’t even hold a candle to “get out.” if you haven’t seen it and you’re a fan of thrillers, this is most definitely one of those movies that you *have* to watch. i really can’t put into words how much of a rollercoaster this movie is. i know jordan will never see this comment but bra-fucking-vo. truly one of the best movies i’ve ever seen. if you haven’t already, watch it. and of course shout out to the TSA *GOD,* rod.

This reminded me of Key and Peele's "Chef" sketch, where Keegan (Judge Chef) keeps responding with ambiguous answers, and Jordan (Competitor Chef) is continuously confused by the response. lol. Bobby's remark sounded like it was going to be negative initially, but was subtlely positive.

@@observantmonkey4055 I like the idea of active meditation but I think it is easy to misuse it and apply it to many activities and say "this is meditation as well". If I am buried in my thoughts while walking without paying attention to the act itself or my surroundings etc, I don't think I am meditating. Of course meditation is a very vague and loose concept so you can interpret it however you want.

for anyone freaking out-not remembering your dreams isn't linked to depression. studies show that it's linked to consistently achieving deep sleep (which is a good thing). people who often remember their dreams are waking up in the 2nd or 3rd cycle of sleep. the closer you wake from REM the higher the likelihood of remembering your dream, because dreams occur during REM and typically those thoughts are only in the mind for a matter of minutes even though dreams can seem to go on for hours. i know this because i had really bad sleep paralysis as a kid, and that is another symptom of bad sleeping patterns (like not achieving deep sleep)-so i had to go to a doctor for it and they told me all this shit.

No.....just no. Saturday Night Live has almost 50 years behind it. I loved MADtv but it's not even comparable. Look at all the stellar comedians that came through SNL even if for a short period of time. You had Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd, Chris Farley, John Belushi, Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, Eddie Murphy, Phil Hartman, Tina Fay, Amy Poehler, Will Ferrell, Chris Rock, David Spade, Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, Steven Martin, Gilda Radner and MANY many more. To be frank MADtv only produced two, three including Bobby but he's of a lesser extent, stars which was Keegan Michael Key and Jordan Peele. The show was funny but it was nowhere near as funny as SNL in the 70's, late 80's, 90's and early 00's.

I have extreme respect for Jordan Peele when he talked about getting his license after 30. It truly feels supportive to know I’m not the only adult who hasn’t gotten their license yet. Home-life-problems and anxiety as well as being rejected when asking to learn how to drive. All of that, it just takes a toll and causes us to not achieve what others are often handed at ages 15-17.
