Bobcat 453 newly purchased. A walk around and a review of this specific machine. I say the flow rate is 6.8 gal/hr. it's 6.8gal/min. minute, not hour!!
Can you put a grapple attachment on the 453 ? If so how would you control movement of them as on mine I have the 2 foot pedals controlling lift and tilt and the 2 hand levers contolling front back movement of machine.
Watch the video; pause it at 20 seconds. On the right side (actual left) of the swing arm, you will see a bracket covering my aux attachments. The right control lever can be moved left and right in addition to forwards and bbackward. If you lift the cab and take a good look at the base of the level, you can tell it pivots. However, there is a bolt in place to prevent the left/right movement. I assume this is for when the aux's aren't connected. Do you have the two fittings on the left side of the swing arm?
@thewayididit6641 I have to look if I have the auxiliary hook ups . The machine is at the farm when I get a chance I will look and get back to you. So where did you get the attachment and what did it cost you if you don't mind? That's the only thing I need for my little workhorse yet.
On my 453 I have the brackets where the auxiliary hydraulics would mount so I am just wondering if all I'd have to do would be run some hoses from the control unit at base of right lever? Only thing is the machine can only lift about 700 lbs. then back wheels are lifting off the ground and only has a reach of 7-8 ' high. I am thinking maybe I would be better off putting a grapple on my L - 2550 Kubota get a mechanical one then need nothing except grapple . Guess you just have to weigh the good and bad of each.
