That's a very handsome knife... the yellow liners were an inspired choice. The new sheath is outstanding :-)

Thanks. I love yellow liners with ironwood, good to know it's not just me. The sheath does seem to be going down well.

i have to say, i really like the idea of that spring clasp for a dangler! i also like that the handle has a lanyard. Often i see knives without lanyard holes and i think it makes the knife easier to loose if you have to constantly store it back in the sheath, when a lanyard would allow it to be hung on a branch and be more visible or easy to reach, i think. in any case, it is just wonderful.

I totally agree about the lanyard. Thanks for such an insightful comment.

Love the lines of that sheath Robert . Personally , like the retention strap, nice look . Might sound daft but first sight of the inferred recurve of the leatherwork generated a thought about how a bigger reworking with an open spine area might be a plan for one of my kukhuris. It's an odd, cluttered, place inside my head ! I like the option on a tiedown as well. It's a while since I did any long hauls, but a flapping sheath slapping about can be a proper 'roid... Just a thought- any mileage in extending the fold-over tab on the rear so you can curve it towards that scalloped area, stitched to create an extra angled channel, so there is an incorporated option for angled/canted/scout carry on the belt ?

Always thinking - I love it. Additional carry options is always a good thing.

Hi Robert, personally I'm not a fan of the fancy looking knife sheaths, to me it's the knife that matters not its carrier, but, I cannot deny that your leather work and designs are first class craftsmanship and there are many people out there that would be proud to have your sheaths hanging from their belt, nice work but it's not for all, cheers bud, atb, Paul.

Yep each to their own. Totally get where you're coming from, it's a personal thing a knife and sheath combination.
