Chief Boden is the best

He's not entirely in control of the entire CFD. There's Gary Cole's character Fire Commissioner Grissom. We have not seen him since Season 7 ish, but the character has not been written out, so he's the King/President of the CFD, Boden is the Queen/VP. Also, Boden is 1st Deputy Fire Commissioner, not Deputy Fire Commissioner. Deputy Fire Commissioners command a Bureau in the CD (e.g., Bureau of Operations, Bureau of Fire Prevention, etc.) The 1st Deputy Fire Commissioner makes sure the Deputy Fire Commissioners, who command the CFD Bureaus, don't do anything stupid or dumb.

From what I read, he left the show, so I don't think we will see him again

He’s not in season 13 but he’ll be back in the other seasons to come

He is not gone, he will still be on the show just not every episode. We will definitely see him, he just will not be part of the regular cast. Sort of like Casey coming and going. So he still will be part of the OG’s

We will hardly ever see him and he did leave the show, just like Casey left the whole show over Three years ago. But they kept begging Casey to come back for Brett which was wrong because they were letting the main cast be off they said budget cuts, but they kept on bringing Casey back and he is not even on Chicago fire anymore, only a guest,and they had to pay him.

@@carolynelston5936 yes but I’m sure they paid Jesse Spencer significantly less than they would pay him if he were a contracted cast member. Plus they were saving money because Taylor Kinney missed 8 episodes in season 11. The said that Eamonn Walker will be on occasionally when the story warrants it and he is available. While we won’t be seeing him in every episode, we will be seeing him. Shows have to change even when we don’t like it. At least I haven’t heard that this upcoming season has any restrictions like last season when they were told to cut the budget first renewal. All the actors that have been hired are still listed as guest stars so their pay for what I understand is significantly less than when they permanently join the cast. Casey and Brett are now gone and I would be surprised to see them return, since the comment Severide made in that episode that said “somehow this seems permanent this time”. We will see but if you can see they are gearing up the show to appeal to 18-49 viewer with a much younger cast and elevating Mouch and Hermann into leadership rolls I believe. Mouch will take over engine when Hermann becomes Chief freeing up another spot on truck for another young person. I’m curious to see if I’m right and this happens next season.

Just a nod to the where the actor comes from, probably was given to him on his visit to lfb recently could be written into the show as a presentation from an international exchange etc

I agree with you about all the favoritism, especially towards Brett and Casey they both did a lot of people wrong on the show but it was never mentioned.
