Those dogs are about 63% accurate outside a vehicle in setup test circumstances. Get a dumb hick handler and it is totally unreliable. It's funny in Chicago the real world data showed their dogs 44% accurate overall but only 27% involving Hispanics. Guess what? Racist policing using them to fish.
@@GlitchRealm black cops would do the same thing if their dog alerted. This doesn't need to be a racial issue. Viewing the world through a racial lens isnt necessary. Its divisive and causes more issues than it solves.
As a white person, it looks to me like the officers did not need to search the belongings of all these kids on a bus. Nothing better to do? Go catch some real criminals.
They wasted time and resources on this. The driver didn’t get a ticket. The dog “hit” produced no drugs. Our 4th Amendment rights can not be collateral damage in their perceived “drug wars “.
Their department told the news that the officers did nothing wrong. Again. And Again. Why does the news still treat Police departments as a credible source?
I'd like to see these 'cops' search a University of Georgia football players' bus. Then, I might buy their BS. For me, this was all about misogyny, racism, and friction between red and blue America. Georgia definitely has had issues with buses transporting drugs. But, this was a fishing expedition with motivations that had nothing to do with law enforcement.
It’s an illegal checkpoint. They use pretext traffic stops to gain access to cars. They really think they can use drug sniffing dogs on every vehicle they pull over. They can’t.
This could be a massive lawsuit, how many people were on that bus. Hundred grand or so for each passenger. Over the "fake" smell of weed they didn't find.
Oh no get those lacrosse players i feel so safe my tax dollars are paying to search for weed that wasn't found as gas prices rise and we are sending money for a war that has nothing to do with us yayy!
I've seen it a bunch of times.. First they are having some fun, smoking some pot.. the one get a free sample of crack.. next thing you know, it turns into a crack and murder bus. /s
Weed is a good pretense for a search. Tell the judge you or a dog smelled it. Nobody can prove that smell didn't exist there at that time. If the dog legit smelled it they would let him narrow the search down not open every single piece of luggage.
@@BirdDogg hahaha go vote ? You should know its all rig now. How did trump lose ? How did democrats got over 50,000 votes in 2 hr ? 🤔 our government is Corrupted. The difference between our government and others is that we're better at hiding it.
@@BirdDogg riiiiite, the K9 alerted on a moving bus somehow on I-95. That’s a pretty magical doggo! 🙄 I’m a civil servant myself and I know this stop is unwarranted and complete BS. Hence why it’s being brought to light and 100% there will be repercussions for the officers involved. Go brush your tooth. You’re exactly what’s wrong in our great country in 2022.
Their objective makes absolutely no sense. Were they in search of a sizable payload of cocaine and weapons. But the police were searching purses and small packages, who cares if they had a joint or some pot the fact is they used all of this man power to bully these unsuspecting students. Lets all thank god they were not in possession of a single joint they would have been incarcerated and spending hard time.
@Shmonsmoe nah man this one is bad especially the officer saying their a bunch of school girls which means he saw them and even exclaimed their is probably weed.
the search was wrong, but I doubt it was racially motivated. There were plenty white girls on the bus as well so calling this profiling is just stupid.
@@theantianimeassociation7574 Yea search was wrong. But if that is the case and the team has or a white girls on there then it's the news trying to be manipulative
The dogs give them probable cause, this is a serious problem. These dogs are 4 legged warrants. Just think they have a warrant without the need of a judge only Alpo and a treat. A secret weapon that they are abusing and will soon set a new precedence and ruin this for their illegal cause.
Maybe the owner of the dog was smoking beforehand. They should have their cameras forced on at all times, so "Anything they say or do, can and will be used against them.". Cops don't need the privacy and plenty of them abuse it already
Why are they searching the entire bus? They have no right, they are not driving, meaning no probable cause. The cop is lying through his teeth to these kids on the bus.
Drug sniffing dog alerted on the vehicle, that gives police all the probable cause they need to tear that bus apart. Happened to me several times in TX with dog alerts.
@@RacecarSpelledBackwards71 it’s about time we throw out the dog as probable cause. Studies have shown the handlers can influence the outcome of the dog and cause false positives.
@@nickthompson1812 Seriously, dogs "alerting" being used as probable cause is absolute bullshit and so unconstitutional it's insane, to try to reason that you can know that a dog is alerting explicitly because of drugs and not because of any other smell such as food or an animal is just plain ludicrous, even with all the training in the world to try and prevent false alerts, that's not reasonable suspicion or probable cause it's a farce and a violation of your fourth amendment right. It is patently unreasonable to use a dog as a factor for establishing probable cause.
If a police working dog alerts on a vehicle, that gives police probable cause to search the vehicle. Works like that here in TX too, been searched several times under same circumstance and I’m white. Nothing to do with color, cops love using those dogs to throw a net and look for crimes no matter what color you are.
The constitution doesn't exist at all to the police, they could truly care less and don't even know half the time, it's astounding. They're almost all enforcing unconstitutional laws and they're too stupid to even realize it, it's crazy.
Something about the little parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia always go back in time to the 40's. Part of Mississippi my family used to live in had KKK flyers not even a few years ago. Can only imagine the other deeply southern states.
Watch the whole body cam video . He goes back to his patrol car and as he is running the driver’s license he said it’s a bus full of school girls , PROBABLY SOME WEED …..MAYBE .
When is someone going to legislate against police being allowed to use dogs? It turns an otherwise harmless animal into either a weapon or a scapegoat. Let's entrust a creature that doesn't speak our language and cannot possibly understand that it may be coerced to generate a desired response and hang people's potential freedom on it. Yeah that's a hard NO for me.
When a K-9 allegedly "alerts",, and then search results prove fruitless,,,that always raises a reasonable suspicion of a "Pretextual" stop...So if any of these girls have the legal wherewithal,, an interesting school project would be to partner with the Attorney General to research traffic stops on that stretch of highway by utilization of a FOIA request.
Jesus this is so pathetic on every level. From the chaperones down to the student who wrote an article about this. Everyone suddenly forgets there is a drug epidemic in this country. Along with the simple fact that medical weed is legal in Delaware so stop playing the race card its getting old.
Hard to stay that far away from pigs in this country. The Pigs didn't know what the fuck they were talking about. Georgia Code Title 40. Motor Vehicles and Traffic § 40-6-52 that bus can use the left lane. They should know it as they don't stop the 10000 buses a day they see doing it.
For those of you who don’t understand what happened, states like GA and the one i live (TX), have it such that a police k-9 alerting on your vehicle for potential drugs/contraband is probable cause for a full search. This is what happened here, which is why their police chief said there was nothing wrong.
@@hankrodriguez2376 I never said i was in favor of the tactic, It’s been used on me several times here in TX.. Never fun to be stuck on side of road for nearly an hour in cuffs watching the policeman search my car all cause his dog smelled something.
They cannot, but they can justify normal dog behavior as an "alert". Just record it all and move on. You can file charges afterward like this group did.
Police: let’s search the school bus and make sure to micro detail search for drugs Cartel: ahahah this is why we outsmart police officers Students: what is America Doing Bystander: well I hope they catch Putin in that bus 🚎
@@stormyalice I'm white and it has happened to me. Maybe it wasn't racial profiling at all. Maybe people of all races get searched by police. maybe white people just don't make a big deal about it, so you never see them on the news
the fact that you never said anything was wrong with this less us that youre lying just to lie this is wrong no matter who this happened too and im damn sure no all black group of state troopers stopped any group of white people to search their lacross teams bus while accusing them of drugs before he had ever said a word ... link me to your story if so but i dont believe you at all
@@stormyalice rofl, Tell me you haven’t been to college without telling me you haven’t been to college. Here’s an insight, lots of college kids experiment with drugs.
Kids bring guns, knives, ect to school every day. What stopping them from bringing them on a bus. Better safe than sorry. The cops were professional. Racial profiling shouldn't be a excuse every time someone is stopped. Example: this guy drove through three mail boxes a fence and hit the neighbors pool, and yes it was black guy. When the cops showed up, the guy had a joint in his mouth was drunk. The cops were really cool, even the neighbors didnt want to press charges, everyone was kinda laughing. But when the cops tried to cuff him because he wa drunk he pulled a knife. They got him restrained. The first words from his mouth was "yall are racist pigs. This is because I'm black" It's a whiny, tired, used up excuse. Get new material.
Better yet, they should just search every citizen. We're all potentially carrying something. From what you're saying, every unsearched person, is a missed opportunity for the courts and prisons.
You know what? You're absolutely right. Mandatory screening for every kid that goes to school right when they get to school. We shouldn't feel safe until we've pat down every pre-schooler and onwards. Clear backpacks. No pockets. All the books have to be soft back. Hard backs can be used as a weapon. Let's be extra cautious because you never know.

Yes. The lawyers in Washington Dc have prohibited us from using drugs, so we must obey, and the police must make sure we do as congress has commanded of us.
Georgia Code Title 40. Motor Vehicles and Traffic § 40-6-52 says they lied the bus was fine to travel in the left lane. That's why the driver got no ticket nor warning. Cops are the criminals.
Could be the dog alerting. Or felt likely/ common Pot, ect use amoung the age would confirm dog. The black officer can't be racist, against blacks, right? College age bias, is common everywhere. Because drug use shown to be prevalent. Just glad they were clean, 💯. Good for them.
Black officer could have been biased. You seem like the type who would be surprised to find out how many black people hate other black people because internalized racism. Search it. Also look up colorism.
