Hey everyone! Hope you enjoy this breakdown! Two notes 😊… 1) There are countless conditions that can cause heavy blinking and just because someone is familiar with one it doesn’t mean that’s what it is for sure in Ben Chew’s case. Yes it CAN be a number of conditions as easily as it can not be. I, personally like to avoid speculating on medical diagnoses. I’m a behavior analyst, the physical cause for his blinking is not something I can determine, the behavioral cause is what I’m interested in and since it’s in his baseline, it doesn’t set off any red flags when it happens. That’s all I care about. I think there is a physical cause, and I think lights make it worse. 2) I thought this was clear in our discussion but some seem to be confused about it. Moving a cellphone out of the pocket out of comfort or to not sit on it would TYPICALLY look different than this gesture. Neither Chase, Rob nor I believe she did this to not sit on it. We all felt there was a deliberate movement because she wanted her cellphone for whatever reason, we can’t know what that reason is but the motion was more consistent with someone who wants to USE their phone rather than MOVE their phone. Can it be simply to not sit on it? yes. Do I think it is? no. 🤗 ❤️

@@eddie4893 absolutely. I’m going to do a book recommendation video next weekend with a ton of stuff but I highly recommend “advanced interviewing techniques” by Joe Navarro and Jack Schafer. It’s focused on interviewing but the information in there is amazing! Science based (and they list the studies) behavior analysis. 10/10

Ben is in a class of his own. The man is top tier. Look at how he's given the platform to his junior attorney (Camille), and has allowed her to shine in these past few weeks during this trial. He's almost like her cheerleader, ready to cheer her on, support and defend her if needed. How can you not thrive working for a man like him? 👏🏾🙌🏾

I agree and I see Ben as a true mentor. But also from these interviews I see a law firm with a very healthy working environment. Between everyone on JD’s team you see trust, people working together, and true support from top to bottom. I know there are no absolutes but if I was working in the law profession I would love to work for this law firm.

I truly believe Ben Chew feels respect for Elaine as a lawyer. Credits to him. But it also feels like they're trying to even the fight, to lift Amber's team up as worthy opponents, instead of repeating the victimising cycle of AH's team, who keep shouting that this wasn't a fair trial. With his words of respect he says "no, this WAS a fair trial, we were EQUAL opponents." It makes their victory even greater.

@@jonathanrosel6192 That's a good point. It would be so hard to defend someone who lies to you constantly. Plus, how do you defend someone who appears to be so clearly guilty? Her own evidence convicted her. That would be a challenge for any legal team.

@@jonathanrosel6192If Elaine were a good lawyer, or even a decent one, she would have understood leading a witness during re-direct was not allowed, that “what, if anything” is NOT a magic phrase, context is not an exclusion to hearsay, present state of mind is supported by statements made with present tense verbs….do I need to site more examples?

I couldn't imagine Ben not having respect or at least politeness towards anyone. I'm not sure Ben rottenborn has many people respecting him though. He was a cut throat lawyer. And in a civil case ,that's just not needed. I say Chris Melcher saying Camille wasn't forcing amber to answer yes or no, but camille knew that was absolutely pointless with her, she just let her ramble in some cases, because she just made herself look worse. And it would have made Camille look nasty like rottenborn was. When rottenborn was being rude to that old guy, wouldn't let him talk. That really angered me. I absolutely hated him

Ben using “disappointed” is just more reason for me to view him as the dad in the team. It’s like the worst thing to disappoint a parent. He’s the dad I always wanted. Seems like a really sweet guy.

Omg you are so right. They could have come out here and said they were denied every allegation and said they were disgusted, and we would have all agreed because we all were when we first heard Elaine make those comments. However, Ben saying he is disappointed feels like it hits so much deeper. Like when I was young and you heard "I'm not upset, I'm just disappointed." OUCH!

I'm a childhood abuse survivor, even as an adult I STILL "scan the room" for danger. AH sister seems to be doing that as she walks out and gets in the car. She feverishly searching AH body language for signs of danger. That poor woman needs boundaries in her life that will allow her to thrive.

The trauma from childhood may be what you think you saw, and I'm sorry you endured that experience. As far as Amber's behavior in the Court Room, it was extremely calculated and rehearsed to "fit" her made up story of abuse from Johnny. It certainly made her look extra foolish . . . if that is even possible.

Couldn't agree more. Whitney's expressions and actions reminds me of how I'd behave with my ex husband. If i knew he was angry or on the verge of exploding into a rage, my chin would go down, I'd make myself as invisible as possible. I'd fall into step behind him and I would take all my cues from him. I think AH's victims extend to more than just Johnny Depp. I'm sorry you endured that as a child. Children are precious and should be protected at all costs.

One thing that makes me know how much Ben and Camille respect and believe their client is that they call him Johnny. They use his name. They have created a bond with him. It always falls flat when Elaine refers to Amber as Miss Heard when she talks about her personally.

When Amber "cried" I didn't feel like crying, I wasn't moved by her "grief". When Ben Chew started having red eyes and tears in them, I had to stop myself from getting emotional like him. That shows me that he felt real emotions and was not acting like Amber. He's such a pleasant man.

Same!! I felt nothing when Amber testified. In fact, I rolled my eyes several times during her testimony. The exact opposite happened when Johnny testified and when Ben got emotional in the interviews. Mind you, watching Johnny testify at this trial was the first time I had heard him talk about the abuse he sustained in that relationship. I had not one preconceived notion about anything in their relationship. I did not know anything about it.

When Ben Chew gets emotional during the interview, it immediately makes me connect emotionally because it’s real and heartfelt. On a gut level, without even intellectualising it I know it’s real. Contrast with Amber Heard, I felt nothing when she “cried”. It wasn’t emotional and it wasn’t real. I can intellectualise why and point to the reasons but on a gut level I immediately knew.

I think emotionally connecting with others is very much ingrained in human nature. When we sense dishonest emotions, we have trouble connecting. That's with Amber. When she's recounting her stories of horrible abuse, no one wept with her. Instead, we felt uncomfortable and wanted her to stop.

In respect of the jurors looking at social media in evenings etc. Personally, if I was a juror in this trial, sitting through hours of trial every day, I wouldn't want to look at MORE at the end of the day and on weekends. As a juror, you would also know that social media reactions would be very passionate and often unreasonable (that goes for supporters of both sides), given the sensitive subject matter and the celebrity factor. No surprise there. Even if they did get glimpses of that, it wouldn't contain anything unexpected.

I’m not an expert on human behaviour, but what struck me immediately when I first saw Ben Chew is that he seems to have a minor tic. He blinks very profoundly (his eyebrows move as well). He even does that when he’s listening to Camille answering a question. I don’t understand why you haven’t picked up on that. It’s just the way he is. And btw, I love him for being so genuine!

Throughout the trial I thought the same thing. In comparing both sides of lawyers I thought Amber's lawyers were terrible. Now I don't think that way. Amber's side knew she was a nut and totally guilty so they had to represent her the best way they could. No warmth, no conviction of her innocence cuz they knew! Johnny's side knew he was innocent and worked very well knowing that.

The moment that really nails the Proud Flaw aspect of Depp, is when he was being admonished about drinking in the morning, he replied "Isn't happy hour any time?" with an innocent tone, as if Rottenborn was his dad... It was ridiculous to try and villainize an adult for drinking, and he knew he didn't need to feel sorry for it.

For a long time now, watching Camille meet with crowds of fans, it seems to me that she's a very private person. She likes the love and appreciation that she's getting but she doesn't really like all the attention that she's getting. She wants to influence women to pursue a legal career but she still wants her privacy and I think the public has to recognize and understand this.

You didn’t comment on this but I absolutely loved Ben’s repeated, big, proud smiles when the subject of Camille’s promotion came up. He looked so genuinely happy and proud of her. The tension of being professional in the context of a TV interview just melted away for a moment in celebration of his Partner.

Everything I've seen and heard shows that Ben is a great team leader and mentor. He was definitely proud of Camille and the rest of the team. Their team spirit and team work were starkly different from that of the Heard team. Ben and his team truly believed in Depp and were passionate in helping him clear his name. In contrast, Heard's team were disorganised and disjointed, almost going through the motions - there were no signs to indicate they believed passionately in her supposed innocence. They were paid to do a job, and did it. They didn't even do it that competently because their hearts were simply not in it. Depp's team were well organised and competent and did top notch work. Camille's cross examination helped to crack open the facade of a lying narcissist abuser, and the truth about Amber was exposed for the world to see. And Depp finally got justice.

the way ben spoke about all the female lawyers on his team was so lovely. it is interesting to see the way johnny's team were a reflection of his character. i don't think any of the lawyers on his team cared about the potential fame they might get from their involvement of this trial. they wanted johnny to get the justice he deserved and that was fulfilling enough. in tv and film male lawyers are often portrayed as having massive egos and it is nice seeing someone like ben chew representing the large percentage of lawyers who are not that way at all.

What really blows my mind is how Elaine and amber keep saying social media played a part but even if it did it was clips of THE TRIAL! We watched the trial and saw her bs but we just got a chance to talk about it more and call it what it was. It wasn’t made up things going around it was clips of the trial and ppl playing the whole trial and discussing it! The jury saw the same thing we saw at home while watching the trial

If they saw a headline saying "Johnny Depp refutes wild claims of S**ual A**ault" then even that would be an issue because it implies that other people think that Amber's testimony and claims are ludicrous, which could easily sway the jury.

Ben's emotional response gets me every time. To me that is one of the most telling aspects of this whole dog and pony show. I felt no emotional connection to any of AH's testimony. The only time I saw any real emotion from her was her rapid breathing during the verdict reading, and that felt more panicky and oh sh*t than sadness or defeat.

Elaine really showed her true character in her interviews and she should be embarrassed! If she wasn't, then she should be upon hearing Ben and Camille, seeing and hearing how it's done properly! As you said, they had EVERY opportunity to insult both her AND Amber, and did NOT, in any way... pure grace, poise and professionalism all the way through. Shame on Elaine for insulting the jury and court, totally unnecessary and unfounded! I OBJECT ❤️

Facts, that's why I was confused when everybody said they felt bad for Elaine that she had no case because of her client. She took the case having to know who her client was. She had to have known Amber was lying from the UK trial. She mocked Johnny Depp and was rude to witnesses. I never felt bad for her, but apparently many people did during the trial. Her interviews after just confirmed what I always felt. They're just not good people.

Ben conducted his 'team' by sitting back and relaxing. It set a good example for everyone else as they calmly got on with doing their jobs in a professional manner. They didn't need to engage in histrionics to defend their clients what we saw was a labour of love by everyone in team Johnny. It was a privilege to watch.

One of their forces was the chemistry between all of team, the complementary, their proactivity… We see and talk a lot about Ben and Camille. But Wayne Dennison was very good and make me laugh several times! 😂 He was far the best lawyer to cross-examinate Dr Spiegel. 💙

Elaine couldn’t stop moving, she shakes her head back and forth, and it appears that she’s searching for approval. But with JD’s team, they’re calm, they choose their words carefully, and take the high road. I mostly agree… but there’s something to be said for social contagion. It’s *possible* for public opinion to become a downhill runaway train, in a way it never could with 9 people isolated from one another to formulate initial opinions, and then brought to a room to debrief, negotiate and decide.

I love the respect and real emotion that their law firm put into the defense of Johnny Depp. They actually appeared uncomfortable and apologetic for information that they had to share in court… that were unbelievably personal and painful to JD. Camille seemed to take her role as JD’s lawyer very personally, wearing her pain and anger on his behalf on her sleeve… and not taking the BS that AH was trying to sell or letting her lie about her client. “Not on my watch! Oh hell no!” I was proud of his team, and feel truly sorry for Johnny for what he endured over the time spent with AH… go team JD! And I’m embarrassed to admit that I sided with AH from the beginning of her claims, until I saw with my own eyes AH’s lies. For that, .Johnny I’m sorry. I’m a SA victim/survivor… and I know that SA knows no gender. I am sorry I doubted Johnny Depp.

I think Ben's blinking could also be facial tics. One of the first things I noticed about Ben was that he had facial and body "tics". My daughter also has "tics". Things like heavy blinks, scrunching of her nose and mouth, arm/shoulder movements, clearing of her throat etc. These tics always become more noticeable and frequent when she is nervous or anxious. Ben's tics happened less when he was doing the interview with Camille and he wasn't as nervous, but then we notice them become much more frequent and pronounced when he was doing the interviews on his own and would be understandably more nervous. Just a thought, I may be wrong but it seems quite likely to me.

Ben Chew's eye blinking was very familiar to me. My late father had essential blepharospasm which is a disorder that gave him excessive eye blinking (spasms of the eyelids) especially when the light is shining in his face. When I first saw Chew's eye blinking, I figured he had the same disorder. It looked just like my father's eye blinking.

I have a theory about Whitney pulling out the phone. I think it was avoidance from interacting with Amber in the car. Its much easier to avoid engaging with someone if you have something else to distract yourself with. I notice several people avoiding Amber immediately after the verdict including her lawyers who waited for others to follow Amber out before they left the court room. I can imagine what went on in the back room before they left the court house. Thank you Spidey and Rob for your analysis. Its been enlightening.

I think she knows Amber would never do something in front of cameras but I think the tension was very visible, and I think anyone would have flinched at any sudden movement in that tension.

Her response was “that’s a good question”, then proceeded to say how disappointed Amber was because she let down all of the women who have been abused. WHAT? Speaking as a (German) lawyer myself: it would be VERY unprofessional to diss a colleague in public. That's a sign of weakness. Only a REAL shyster or loser would do that. What you say behind closed doors or think is a different story. As a recovering alcoholic myself I think Johnny acknowledging his issues with drugs and alcohol had an even bigger affect on me. I do not equate alcoholism and addiction with bad or immoral people and unfortunately many still do. Also I think Amber’s team’s decision to demonize Johnny specifically for his issues of addiction really upset me.

Oh man, the hand-to-chest analysis really got me. A few months ago my partner of 10 years left me, and during the break-up chat I remember almost semi-consciously (i was in a daze of despair) wondering why I kept holding my heart and my chest area with my open hand. The thing that amazed me the most about Ben Chew is that he is really very expressive and manages to involve you and convey emotions in a unique way. For example, when he got emotional in the interview, the tears immediately came to my eyes. Unlike Amber's testimony which, apart from cross-examinations, gave me nothing but confusion and nervousness

What a nice finishing touch to my (belated) journey! While Amber provided a lot of material for analysis, it's so much more satisfying to see justice prevail and people who strongly appear to be of integrity stick together. Ben says they'd never taken on the case if they didn't feel genuine about Johnny, too. Love it, felt that. Nothing like Elaine doing a double take and realizing that they should probably hug, too. You know, for show. Amber and her lawyers created just that, a grandiose show which lacked honesty.

When Amber and Whitney walked out of the courthouse I felt like Amber was angry and Whitney was nervous because Amber was angry. It reminded me of myself and my abuser. When he was angry but not yet in a rage I began watchful and nervous. I would try to comfort myself, and be less noticeable to keep him from zeroing in on me. Which is kind of what I felt like Whitney was doing.

I'm so grateful that I wasn't a juror in this trial. I can't imagine going 6 weeks, without any media, social or otherwise, while not being able to discuss the case with anyone I know, who is definitely watching those things. I'd probably go insane. Taking a breather from social media, or from watching TV, whatever is doable on its own. But during this particular trial, it was such a major topic of conversation for everyone. That would make having any social interaction nearly impossible. That alone would be insufferable to me. I have great respect for these jurors, because it really didn't appear like they broke their oath, and they took their responsibility seriously. IMHO

The word “disappointed” is actually a lot more impactful that I think one might think. When someone you respect, or at least respect their view of you, and they’re “disappointed,” it can feel awful. For a person that tends to be preoccupied on some level with the perception of others when I was younger, that was my mom’s best weapon. She would say “I’m not angry, I am just so disappointed. I know you can do so much better.” Nothing was more effective.

Your videos are mesmerizing- thank you. I’m always amazed at how much I learn in such a short time. You also have a very gentle, empathetic, non judgmental persona. But what I really want to thank you for is pointing out that light eyed people are more sensitive to light, especially fluorescent lights. I am blue eyed and also suffer from dry eye . It is so frustrating when people assume that I’m blinking due to anxiety or that I’m hiding something. Thank you for pointing out that blinking is sometimes a physical response and not an emotional one. It’s the first time I’ve heard anyone acknowledge that. And I just want to add one more thing. Many people are allergic to dust mites. Depending on the room itself ( carpeting, lots of books in a library, etc.), that can also lead to blinking.

I didn't know the first thing about JD before the trial. I respected the way he owned up to his faults/mistakes and didn't try to hide or deny anything. It added so much to his credibility. Can't have been easy, I admire his strength in going through with it. Like just lay it all open, got nothing to lose. Ben and Camille are just so professional and courteous. They have so much class. Things like blaming or accusing are beneath them. I loved their warmth and interactions with each other and JD in court and it's carried on it's a constant. I never noticed Whitney's going for her phone was so deliberate, that was lost on me. Their walk to the car feels like she's almost walking on egg shells, like she knows how to deal with (or rather avoid) Amber because she's been there before. Like stay clear, don't volunteer words lol, and don't do anything to aggravate her current state of mind and that temper. I love learning from your videos and they're just so entertaining. I agree. I knew Johnny as an actor only and honestly I wasn't into the pirates. After knowing the personal side and after hearing about AMBER, I knew instantly she was a liar bc almost once in most PPLS lives of having mates we almost all have had an AMBER... I can connect to Johnny and cringed towards Amber bc I was married to a person like Amber. I just didn't allow it to get to him hitting me. Then I know how they flip lies and own the victims story to making it theirs. Even after my ex I dated 2 more men who were severe liar's. I ran away fast after seeing truth and red flags... Re “disappointed”: something I picked up in parenting is to-instead of saying I’m mad at you or how could you do that etc-say I’m disappointed (not “in you”, just disappointed). The reasoning is that it removes much of the emotional weight and feels less personally debilitating to the child (and is then segued into a conversation). I don't know if this is a cultural thing or not, but disappointing someone is also way worse than making them angry - after all, if you disappoint someone it means they had higher hopes for you or put you to a much higher standard and you broke that to such a degree that it doesn't even evoke anger, but simply disappointment. The blow you gave by letting them down is so severe, that there is no energy to spare on anger.

I have never met one like Ben or Camille and I worked at a law firm. Most are definitely Elaine and her crew. I can’t remember one lawyer I’ve met in person I didn’t feel was a creep. The firm I worked for did mostly business law too. Snakes

"Disappointed" is a word I use often with my kids. I try to stay away from "You made me so mad...", etc. It's a a softer word that I think carries more meaning behind it. I love these two...🥰

As an Empath, Ben’s emotions got mine, I teared up with him because he really felt that and it was such a pure feeling! On the other hand all I felt watching Amber on the stand, for example, was cringy and uncomfortable and even triggered

Honestly, when I watched and heard Ben Chew get emotional in those interviews, it really hit home. I could feel that he was being genuine. Even from his gestures and demeanor inside the courthouse. I'd observed that as stoic as he may seem, he was equally quite expressive: the eyebrow flashes, exchange of glances and of course, the fist bump. It's been quite interesting following the court sessions paired with your analysis of the events surrounding the trial. Really love what you're doing on this channel and I'm looking forward to watching and learning more. :)

I would guess that Ben Chew also has children and so empathizes with Johnny's absolute dedication to not harming his children. Depp said in one of the recordings, "She is trying to alienate me from my children." That is the type of thing that malignant narcissists do. It gave Amber Heard pleasure to try and destroy the kids' love for their dad. I think Ben Chew knew of Depp's terror at the harm he saw himself exposing them to. Hopefully Johnny forgives himself and both kids are okay now. Malignant narcissists are very capable of deceiving for a while.

The pronoun shift from “I” to “we” I believe comes from her not wanting the spot light and deflecting to the team. As well as a genuine appreciation to the team’s efforts to winning the case. She did the same thing in public when a reporter was asking questions. She had a embarrassing smile and kept mentioning that it was a team effort. Also from my personal experience as a manager, when I’m getting praised from owners/executive council, I deflect from the personal praise to the team’s effort because I want them to have that admirable energy directed to my team. I have no doubt that she has an excellent team burning the midnight oil trying to pull out rebuttals and tracking all these people that came out such as Morgans. Believe me, you don’t look that polished without an excellent team.

my daughter does the same thing about sharing the praise of a job well done . she will tell her district manager in a heart beat that "Without my team I couldn't have done this ." As a manager she gets a bonus every 3 months and she shares that with her team anywhere from $50.00 to $100.00 each to each person depending on the bonus amount. because she tells them the same thing " I couldn't do this without U." she has an awesome crew and she has so meny that want to work under her, not so much for the money as for the mutual respect she gives to her crew. They call her an angel boss. but she doest let anyone walk on her , No means No and Now means Now. lol.

When Ben was saying how Johnny got his life back, ahh man, the lump hit my throat. His emotion is so powerful it actually affects me, makes me emotional. This is most rare for me, I am not an emotional person at all and can probably count on 1 hand the times I have cried. The fact Ben was still emotional about it some days later, shows me he believes Johnny was not guilty and Ben had access to way more information that we did, than the jury even. That counts for a lot in my book

The love for their client was palpable. Conversely- Amber’s bunch looked like they didn’t expect to win... no shock at the verdict; no comforting. I don’t doubt they all remembered that she threw them under the bus over evidence not brought. I’d warrant they’ve felt the sharp edge of her tongue once or twice too, for she thinks that fire-alarm vocal tone is normal.

I think that Ben Chew moment at 26:49 when he said "his life is on the line" is the perfect representation for that. (I dont ask him whether that is true though. It is just my assumption hahah)

Most lawyers like to make statements that come off as though they're trying to convey "I am a great litigator, you all watching should consider hiring me" when they speak to media. It's really rare that a litigator has that much faith in their client's innocence and feels that much compassion about what they've been through to be emotional about it. Compare him to Elaine. Elaine seemed more pissed that she was made to look bad and was ridiculed online. Which I would agree with bc most of it had nothing to do with her performance as an attorney, but the criticism of her performance was valid and I doubt that anyone who watched it was actively blaming her for failing in the case because the heard team would change course so much, it was obvious that some client-lead decisions were really throwing a spanner in the works

When I first heard Ben Chew mention about Johnny writing his own scripts, the first thing I thought of was that he wanted to make sure that he jotted down all of his thoughts and didn’t forget anything. I’ve unfortunately dealt with narcissists and gaslighters , and I’ve found it helpful that when I didn’t say what I initially wanted to say, I write down what I wanted to say and then address the narcissist with what I really want to say, once I decided I wasn’t going to accept their behavior. I feel like Johnny was probably trying to do the same thing. This is the first time that Johnny was able to speak the truth. Great analysis! I love Ben and Camille! Same thing for me, when I have difficult/emotional talks upcoming I will have at least a post it note with most important topics. And when going to the therapist as well, and when I was testifying to the police about some two people getting into the fight - to put all I remember on paper in quiet, and not get messed up or stuck due to stress or emotion.

That's actually what I loved about Camille how she used Amber's own words against her, brilliant. Ya, she definitely is just being very careful what words she used. Trying to make the best of the time without hurting the case. I love how they both took the high ground, so respectful, shows what kind of integrity they have. I would of had trouble maintaining my integrity at that point.

I'm so glad you mentioned the Prat effect. One thing that struck out to me about Heard's testimony was when she said "I'm not perfect" (and Elaine parroted that line in one of her talk show appearances, I believe). It was important to me cause she SAYS she's not perfect, and yet she never admits WHY and what it is that she's done wrong. Instead, every time someone brings up bad things she did, even the non-illegal ones, she avoids taking the blame. This is one of the most common forms of manipulation I've experienced and seen: when someone says they're "not perfect" and "are trying to be better", but don't admit what they did wrong, it's almost always their attempt to placate who they're speaking to. They want to make you believe that they know what they did is wrong and are sorry for it, when in reality all they're doing is avoiding repercussions of what they did by slapping a band-aid on an open wound.

I don't think this is about political correctness, I think it's just about being respectful of the opposing party and setting an example of professionalism. They addressed the questions directly while still giving the other side the space and opportunity to be professional equals and rise to that level. It diffuses the blame game the other side was trying to do, and it's classy AF.

Ben showed more genuine emotion in that few moments @ 27:00 than Amber did during entire 6 week trial, and arguably during the entire 6 year ordeal. She really was quite cold. I know Ben & Camille are the current fave faces, but I think all the case players @ Brown Rudnick deserve a huge well done. It was a fantastic team effort. I'm sure they will draw in a lot of business in for their ethos in the courtoom and in PR handling.

The main thing , having been a survivor of DV myself - the reason i didn't ever testify against him when given the chance was pure terror - because if he wasn't going to be taken away in handcuffs right then with a very long sentence, he was going to KILL me for ever trying to get him in trouble. If Amber was telling the truth, in hearing the verdict, you should have seen absolute terror in her face. She should have been begging her lawyers to do something, ANYTHING, to change everyone's mind, because IF SHE WAS EVER AFRAID FOR HER LIFE AT THE HANDS OF JOHNNY DEPP, she should have been absolutely MORTIFIED.

I'm a survivor who pursued justice and I did not react the way you describe. He wasn't even arrested. He was slapped with my medical bill and I think he had to go to anger management. I never saw him after that day. He made himself scarce because the men in my family were not forgiving AT ALL.
