And what’s so funny is these people always use the excuse “I wouldn’t body shame them if they were healthy.” Meanwhile these people are in tip top shape AND THEY STILL SHAME THEM!
I hate when people say that first of all you can't tell someone's health based on looking at them and second even if they were unhealthy how does that make it ok for them to body shame people like that are disgusting and should not exist
IN THE OLYMPICS?? THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS??? DO PEOPLE EVEN KNOW HOW INSECURE ATHLETES CAN BE ON THE TOPIC MALES AND FEMALES FOR THAT MATTER???? I CAN VOUCH AS AN ATHLETE MYSELF
Right? Like the lady Imane Khelif was born a cis woman. She grew up as a girl and has competed in women's sports her entire life. They only recently, I don't remember if it was this year or last/a few years ago, tested her and found she has xy chromosomes. So now, so many people are going "she's a man, she's biologically a man" and "xy is male, xx is female, She's not female and shouldn't compete in women's sports". But what they don't understand is that nobody knows their chromosomes unless they get tested. If they were born, lived, and competed as a cis woman just with high T levels thus far, why is it suddenly any different and she's suddenly a man and can't compete in women's sports anymore? I mean, she's had xy chromosomes since birth but people are only freaking out now that they know... It's weird.
@@Stardipped_Paws Babies born with 5-alpha reductase deficiency look like girls at birth because the penis is micro and concealed and the testes have not descended. At puberty when the child masculinises due to normal male testosterone production and the penis while small, it is realised that the individual is male. This is then confirmed by karyotyping revealing XY chromosomes. There is no female reproductive tract. The boxer in question is male and was born male with an enzyme disorder that causes micro penis and small testes and went through male puberty. This means he is not eligible to compete in women’s boxing due to unfair advantage because he is a man and danger to female competitors.
@@Stardipped_Pawsyou’re so so right about all of this. not to mention that the olympics as a sporting association has has a long recognized track record of very tight requirements and performing invasive tests on women to allow them to compete. they also have a defined limit to testosterone levels. if imane is allowed to compete by the olympics, then that means her testosterone levels are lower than the limit. and t levels are, arguably, the most significant factor in creating a “physical advantage,” so this just adds to how absolutely insane it is that people are so upset. 😭
they’re literally built for their sport they’re so healthy and strong (which is one of the things i’ve heard body shamers say: “oh but i wouldn’t say these things if they were healthy i’m just concerned!”)
I get body shamed by people, I’m not even fully overweight, I have a tiny bit of that but my body type is more average, Hell I never even have any friends cause of my weight, I never even had a long term relationship with someone
Literally the body of a person operating at the highest level of performance for their craft. A body *built* for *them* and what *they* hope to achieve.
This is related to body shaming, Melanie keeps getting body shamed bc she’s to skinny or “fat” no as of this day, she looks happy and healthy with her body, she never used to be bc of all the people body shaming her, she doesn’t deserve it
I’ve been watching your videos and it’s been great to watch you bloom into a very handsome man I love your content I’m genderfluid but closeted but you give me hope for the future that one day I will be out like you and I truly do look up to you your like a role model ❤❤hope you have a great day love
they’re literally olympians they couldn’t be healthier it’s not even like saying ‘that’s an unhealthy body’ or something it’s just pure body shaming istg 😭
Yea, im skinny and do atheltics. I dont hear anyone talking about me but when my mom says to someone that im too scared to jump hurdles bc i could fall, they say that theres nothing to hurt bc im just a body with bones (srry if this is complicated to read, also only one woman told me this to me). Like a lot of ppl joke about skinny ppl like me
they r literal olympians!! like fr their perfect and as long as they feel comfortable in their own skin then its not their place to speak! it isnt any of their business what their body looks like. L bodyshaming
Imagine body shaming an OLYMPIC ATHLETE. LIKE WHAT. That’s so gross dude. Don’t make fun of peoples body’s when they exercise for a living. Don’t body shame anyone in general! That’s just gross.
and its like they wear suchhhh small uniforms and i understand that thats the spory and they have to wear it and people should look but its like look at what the men wear they aren't showing everything the girl have to wear suppper small uniforms
No literally, Simone biles the worlds best gymnastics of all time winning gold and commentators are complaining about her hair. When your black or a woman it’s like people forget that you just changed history and they resort to bigotry and hate 💀
I mean i kinda understand body shaming, some people want to help but just dont know how, or maybe they had vad experiences with people that are unfit. But these are olympic athletes, in what way are they "not fit"?
If the athlete is still able to perform well, they are healthy. Different types of sports gain you different types of bodies, some rather skinny and some on the other end
