I love this down-tempo feel for this wonderful song. About a year ago, my neighbor Craig died suddenly. He was a remarkable local musician and instrument repair tech. I was all busted up emotionally. But when the undertaker came to carry him away, I went out on my porch and played this as they loaded him in to the van. He daughter was on the balcony crying. I could hardly breathe, but I played it. For so many years, Craig said how much he enjoyed hearing my son and I practice. Truly a generous man. It would have killed me to have sat on my hands. Thanks for providing a lot of inspiration, Nick. I wish you could have known Craig. He was the ultimate soulful brother.
@@NickFinzer is that the ribbon mic on the music stand? It's a nice balance of sounding close-mic'd and yet resonant (presumably with some reverb added later). I dig it!
