Estimates say about 1 in 50 men over age 18 self admits they are using excess amounts of gear, that doesn’t even account for the mass population of dudes over 35 on TRT
Yes. In local gyms I would say anywhere from 20-60 percent depending on the gym and location. I have sold to guys you would never think touched the stuff. A lot of police use too.
@@jspur6Yeah well the guys over 35 on TRT is a whole other matter that has to do with male health and wellness, and not recreation use just to look a certain way or whatever.
My papa has been telling us for years & now he tells the great grand kids story’s about when he was in high school. There “gym class” was no joke it was actually pre pairing them to go into the service / war and there wasn’t an over weight kid in sight! So when he got to boot camp it wasn’t as bad as he thought it was gonna be! It’s crazy how times have changed! ❤
My dad joined a proper gym in Oakland when he was 16, owned by Norman Marx back in 1948. I joined in 1977 when I was 21 and Norm still ran the gym, taught women weight lifting and the importance of building muscle. My dad remained a member there for 50+ years. That was the Jack La'Laine era
Jack La'Laine was a superhuman FREAK! Probably the most fit energetic person I've ever heard of or seen, and what's even more impressive is that he was consistent and practiced fitness routines late into his 80's I believe. A genuine LEGEND!
You can still find them today, it’s easy but possible. An easy way to find some of them are: swimmers. I was a former swimmer and all it does is lean you up and build your body in a natural way for muscles. Obviously not all swimmers are like that, but a good amount I used to race against looked exactly like that, and not the guys we see today.
And genetics. Genetics has alot to do with it as well. The pure hard work is still there tho and hasn't changed. It's just now greatly enhanced by performance enhanced drugs.
Steve Reeves wasn’t in that video- Reeves made the Hercules’movies and was a natural bodybuilder- Also, Reeves’ biceps, calves, and neck were all the same circumference which was the Greek ideal
Not everyone that is a powerlifter or a bodybuilder is on steroids there is also a lot of contests out there that are all natural bodybuilding competitions and they do test. Some people do take shortcuts in reality doing it natural is your best bet for overall health but at the same time you've got to have the right genetics the right chromosomes the right bodybuild in order to achieve it professionally to get to that Plateau or level of serious competition like Mr Olympia but if you really think of it most men back then at that age looked a lot like the majority of these men you see Unfortunately today we have so many people that are obese overweight unhealthy Harley do any exercise any processed foods. The FDA needs to do something about keeping these chemicals that in other countries are illegal to put in food but we here in the United States it's allowed. The FDA last I heard had been stripped of their power so do they really care about us peasants after all we already know that they want to depopulate what was it that Bill Gates said 6 million or 600 million people it is all we needed in the United States in the world rather. How long has India had well over a billion people in their country and how long has China had well over a billion people in their country China has had regulation on how many children are allowed to have for quite some time if I remember right don't they give them some kind of incentive or either they have to get permission to have more than two children it's been awhile since I've read and I can't remember all the details but it's closed. In the US from what I've gathered on the last census people are having children a lot older in life and having a lot less children where is 50 years ago people are having 4/6 and so on kids it seems today most are trying to stay under four with a lot being too and it seems like every time you turn around people are dropping dead quicker than they're being born. You know that saying that life expectancy in the United States is supposed to be 78 years old most people I know are dropping dead at 50 I mean look at a lot of these professional music artist actors actresses so forth and so on most of them have been dying in their fifties as well they're definitely not living to 78 but I will say it's strange that a lot of your older actors from Wayback in 30s 40s films that have lived in their nineties all way up to 100 but all the actors from my generation 60s 70s and up are dropping like flies.
A lot of guys exposing themselves as couch potatoes talking about 'physiques built from hardwork' .. if you honestly think Jay Cutler or Ronnie Coleman did things 'the easy way' compared to these guys... i dont even know what to say..
@@debayanpal3181 Come on man, we are talking about young men reporting to the draft. My grandfather in his sixties had abs and he never worked out, but he never ate process food and he was always moving, fixing stuff, hunting etc There is a reason why at 40 our sperm count is less than what it was for our grand fathers at 60....
What's strange is I was bigger than those on video. And I wasn't a chronic exerciser. We didn't put wheels on luggage till the early 90s. Natural evolution??
That's a bit like looking at photos of women *before makeup was invented and saying. ''True beauty and class pre makeup, lipstick and blusher'' .I'm pretty sure that if Botox, fake lips & cheeks..were available in 1941 *some of those females would have used those things too.
@@yeldarleumas1847 I'm all for some make up and very light interventions if really necessary but not a fan of a certain "mould" look regardless nationality, race, etc.
Do you people have any clue just how old makeup is, and how common it has been, used by females especially for thousands of years, especially by the wealthy women? Hell, Roman and ancient Egyptian women not only had access to dyes, but makeshift eyeliners, blush, etc. just not anywhere near as good as they have today? But the 1940s like here? Damn, many of these women probably used quite a bit of not bad makeup at all. But you are right on one thing at least: no botox yt or major implants.
@@angryman8779 *Perhaps a better comment would have been something like; They were all in amazing health and probably couldn't envisage that one day in the not too distant future it would be a fleeting moment in time in their lives.
You can either keep projecting on men who are secure and clearly have families and love the opposite sex, but it’s also be okay to look in the mirror and come clean to yourself 😂
I can appreciate the 'natural' aspect, but I'm not at all impressed. A body builder, to me, needs to be aspirational (nearly unattainable). If they look no better than I can after spending a month in the gym, then I'm just not impressed. Even at 53, I can still match any of those guys physiques.
What’s crazy is that many of us can have a way better looking body than that natural, bc of new better ways of eating and studies that weren’t done then, yet they all choose the easy fucked up path with steroids and shit…really sad
The top boys were on gear even back then. Nick's Strength & Power did an amazing video about the history of steroids in bodybuilding. Well worth a look.
