Funny, my wife moved to Florida in a GTO. I was doing traffic reports on a local radio station and reported an accident close to the station which happened to be her accident....all before we ever met. Her GTO was totaled and she was not hurt. We crossed paths so many times before we actually met, about a year later, and we have now been married for 30 years this November.
Awesome video of the GTO, you guys do amazing work. What you have done with this car is outstanding, the upgrades were the perfect way to go and not over the top or over doing away with keeping the original and classic looks and performance. I'm just praying I get the call for this beauty. Great job again guys. Keep up the great work and will be waiting to see what you do next.
1:05 - - Love those 3rd point shoulder belts. My Dad's 69 SS-396 (special ordered in late 68) had them.😎🤙 Even though my parents didn't always use the shoulder belt; as a little kid I always used it when I was able to sit "shotgun" because I thought it was cool .
3:05 - - 💕 that "manual" shift feature. I like that Pontiac also incorporated that feature in my G6-GT. That really made the car fun to drive. Fuel economy tanked when using it, though 😒
I like how he had to explain how an automatic transmission works. (us older folks know that's how they used to work). The max points for the sweepstakes is 1200 right? I had to stop working on my '65 Chevy Impala SS as my VA disabilities are now at 90% and I found out I have cancer this year. So I have to save up to have people do the work I planned to do myself. Good video.
I thought about saying it before but I forgot. But, it would be nice to have a T-shirt of the Pontiac GTO. There have be a few cars I liked and wanted to get the shirt of that car but none.
I would do a leather wrap on the steering wheel and some type of tach even if just one in the steering column. No different they the aftermarket gauges that were added. Not one of those huge ones just small
A 3:55 rear end would be perfect for that car imho. I love that it has the TH400. Kinda bullet proof so good. Only thing overdrive might go is gas mileage performance
I have an unrestored 1968 GTO identical in this but it has no air conditioning I love the restoration that you've done I like the video except for one thing. In between the commercials the closed captioning keeps turning back on. I have to turn the video off because the closed captioning is distracting. Please fix it so that it's not aggravating to watch your video. The Drone footage it's great in the video.
