Important to question when bodycam for a stop like this would actually get seen. There's a reason cops target poor people....many if not most people who get hit with shit like this will plead to avoid the high cost of a court battle or cuz they simply don't know their own rights and don't know what other options theybhave.
That’s ignorant of you to say, you’re basing all cops from the actions of one? That’s like saying all Hispanics are illegals in the states due to one being illegal.
Let's be honest. The only reason was fired and convicted is that the other cops in the department thought he was a dick too. If he was a likable guy the body cam footage would have gone "missing".
Most likely the cop shook down a deep cover fed narc or two without realizing it. That got him enough attention for surveillance and they probably didn't need to wait long.
@@vincentfrusci7745 If by "drug tested" you mean A. Following an incident that warrants a test (they have a million reasons for getting out of one), B. Upon initial hire, and C. The guys who schedule the "random" tests in the departments that have them, announce when they're going to happen and to which people .... then yes, they get tested. If I didn't perform EHS audits on multiple precincts I wouldn't know the full extent of how corrupt they are. But the overwhelming majority of precincts through the country are testing upon hire and post-warranted incident only.
What is more frightening is how they still get away with all too much including Murder ......Even with their own Body Cams used as evidence and undeniable proof of exactly the crime(s) they PERPETRATE and or often CREATE while all too often going about Criminalizing the otherwise law abiding citizens over the most trivial of issues and trivial infractions of the many Laws and Ordinances and Regulations and Requirements..... All of that affords them some really Lame reasons to PERPETRATE or COMMIT any number of civil rights violations upon the citizens and or crimes upon the citizens while done so under the argued to be color of law. Done so with no fear of reprisals or retribution or be meaningfully held accountable or responsible or liable for what they say and do..... That is the Law and Order SYSTEM that has developed and evolved in the USA while the citizens are unduly subjected to over zealous and righteous ego driven police officers. Police officers who engage and detain and arrest and charge people by way of a merit and points system based on the number of arrests each officer can make per week or month and recognized by their peers and police administration officials and the city officials from who they are paid. Recognized as cracking down on crime and making the streets safe and protecting the citizens....or so they argue.....while going about enforcing the law on the vulnerable citizens rather than the real criminals and the serious crimes that are on the rise and flourishing unabated and almost unimpeded by the same police force that is argued to be "cracking down on crime"...
Yes they should've had body cameras 50 yrs ago, especially before dumb president Clinton added 100,000 or more cops all at the same time with his absurd crime bill that has been mostly written off since it was put in place of old laws
I assume you are being sarcastic but lying evil cops will always be around the issues is we rarely ever hold those lying evil cops accountable. That's why this cop was so comfortable robbing people of drugs on bodycam.
Let me guess- “Comply or die”? Sounds a lot like a bootlicker’s position, Thatcher. The rest of us will know and understand our rights while behaving within the confines of the law; Nothing more. We are under no obligation to treat law enforcement with any more respect than they show us. Basic traffic stops with no weapons or aggression by citizens or felony warrants should NEVER result in brutality from law enforcement. But it does, regardless how many of us behave, so the most “important” part of this arrest is the fact a corrupt scumbag criminal with a badge got caught being a corrupt scumbag criminal with a badge. Hope he’s hating every moment of prison.
@@JME1186 "Sounds a lot like a bootlicker’s position, Thatcher. " More like the young man let the cop hang himself, regardless of how unprofessional he was towards them. There's a time to fight and a time to live to fight another day.
Cops really believe that we must jump when they say jump or it's obstruction. This cop is a danger to this community, his department and the police insurance carrier. This is why WE MUST ALWAYS record the police
I gave you a 👍 because I agree, except for the last point, "the police insurance carrier." The police insurance carrier is just a euphemism for the taxpaying public in a given doughnut dumpster's municipality. We're the ones who pay the bills when out police force goes out of bounds.
Police shouldn’t even be able to have insurance! It should come right from pension funds when they have to pay out. They would be incredibly through about what’s legal
I used to know a drug dealer who hired cops to work security at his bar. When I asked him if he was worried that they would arrest him he told me some of the things they had done for him. Needless to say they were bigger criminals than he was.
All of our rights are violated every second of the day. Ask yourself, "self how am I free if government has complete [legal] authority over me. Even to end my life". Tgen, ask yourself what that yiu have that government can't take. Then how much of your labor has to be extorted from you before you are a slave. Since last year that number was 60% of your income. The truth is that we have all been lied to. On top of that most are wilfully ignorant
I bought a car at auction that wasn't registered for a year before I bought it. I had a temp registration in the window, but I got pulled over MANY MANY MANY MANY times (Several times a week) before my new plates arrived, the cops seems disappointed when it turned out my car wasn't stolen. One cop even wrote me a ticked for no registration (I had a legal temp registration). I had to go to court, the judge said "I don't know why you're here", and dismissed the ticket. COPS DON'T CARE! They wanted to throw me on the hood and cuff me, and were frustrated I was innocent.
Most cops get their fix by beating someone’s ass when they know they can’t fight back. This cop gets his fix by snorting up what he finds in someone’s door pockets. I pray that any cop who does this bs finds an entire baggie of fentanyl and snorts the whole thing.
The cop wasn't stealing these drugs he was planting them thats why he stopped mid search and goes back to his car then resumes search, then he noticed that a bystander was recording and freaked out he thought that he might have been caught on camera . So he tries to back out of the situation and does a 180 with his demeanor. In my opinion
Why would he plant drugs & then NOT charge them? He said there are 4 other victims that he did this to that he was charged with. The whole point of planting drugs is to then arrest & charge them. This cop is finding drugs, letting them go & not even reporting that he stopped them or at least not reporting that drugs were found!
A cop in Harris county Texas driving a marked car robbed business owners dressed in full uniform with a gun on his side and was only charged with theft.
They should have put him in a real prison, not a low security motel. This cop is why more and more people distrust the police. He should be made an example of, nation wide so everyone knows what happens to a cop that goes bad. By the way, excellent video. Thank you for reporting on these types of issues.
I would imagine that the reason for that is his being a former police officer brings the (ironically) constitutional obligation to now protect him from inmates who want to injure or kill him for that reason.
You know that law was voted in right and they're not giving it away, remember when buildings all fell down in New York a bill was passed and signed dems and repups pushed that one. the only reason that cop was fired he pissed somebody off or a scapegoat and still a cop
Qualified immunity is a very necessary evil and it’s there for a good reason to cover for genuine honest mistakes, the problem with the doctrine us that over the years courts have wrongly extended it to cover for outright criminal acts and organised corruption. This is what needs to stop and courts and prosecutors need to be held to account for allowing this to happen.
His dad was also a sergeant with the Minneapolis Police Department but retired. His name is Jeff Jindra and even he had his own moments during his career. In 2003 him and another officer were accused of sexually assaulting a man with a plunger and were investigated in 2004 but then cleared of wrongdoing in 2005.
It's wild how the state wouldn't prosecute him and that the feds had to do it. If the feds never would have brought the charges he would still be a cop today.
I suspect that if the Department of Justice investigated every civil rights violation there would be so many prosecutions that they wouldn't have the resources for anything else.
Who hires and badges these goons? Who arms them and covers for their crimes? How many complaints against this stormtrooper did they dismiss? His chiefs, prosecutors and judges need to be called out and dealt with. They've shown us how. Arrest them, cuff 'm, haul 'm off to jail. If this treatment is good enough for citizens, it sure is good enough for leaders of a criminal gang.
Unfortunately a lot of departments are hiring people that under normal circumstances are worse than the criminals they claim to arrest. Its like they are using fire to put out a fire.
The goons are the people who hire him. They don’t train them to be junkies but they do train them violate rights and target minorities like this guy was doing. And it’s never going to stop until we do something about the police leadership. This guy goes to prison and the next tyrant takes his place.
He definitely should be in prison. The disrespect that he had for the people that he was supposed to be protecting and serving is a good enough reason for me 😊
As a resident of Minneapolis, MN this his is an insanely common occurrence. This city is one of the most corrupt in the country! I’ve said it, noticed it for over a decade now. This must change within our city!
Yea but then you will be unjustly killed because some tyrant pig thinks he is above the law and can do whatever he wants. Doesn’t matter what the court finds out after the fact if you end up in the morgue. But you can thank our governments and the police union for why police are a bunch of criminals. When you never hold a man accountable for his actions then you end up with a bunch of law breaking tyrants roaming the streets.
A bent cop is charged by his peers and convicted and sentenced, but you insinuate corruption and all police are dirty ! Biased a$$holes like you should be feed to the K9s for some attitude adjustment
this goes to show how much these cops believe they are above the law and unaccountable for their actions. I sat in a restaurant for lunch listening to a group of UHP officers discussing their distain and contempt for the citizens they are supposed to be serving, it was a clear attitude of greater moral authority against law abiding citizens with contempt for unalienable rights. And this was about 2006, and it has only gotten worse since then.
Yo makes me wonder what a cop was up to when he thought he was going to stop me on a dark road .I didn't stop until I got to a well lit area and when I asked him what he stopped me for ,it was bs .The bulb near my tag he said I needed to change .I saw nothing wrong
@@DEA90799 I don’t. I hold them to a higher standard since they willingly pursue that job. There’s people in prison for 38 years on drug charges, and I consider dirty cops far worse than drug dealers
I am nauseated by these thugs. When his tag is visible, this insidious slug used it as an excuse to violate this man's humanity! How is he able to do anything constructive when he is out committing as many crimes as he can!
This is why i say time and time again. After any police shooting or violent act. It should be mandatory for cops to get a drug and alcohol test. You can tell this cop is on something
Thank you for your work. You are a smart guy and a great lawyer. I know you could make more money handling more lucrative cases. I am 66, retired, and believe in our country. The work you do exposes a dark underside of our society. It is so important. Freedom is scary, I love it.
This is absolutely disgusting. Him treating citizens like they are something he stepped in. He should have been charged with armed robbery as well, because…well…that’s exactly what he did…. Another one bites the dust. 😂😂😂
It was hilarious that the dirty cop didn't even know where he was! Just a few seconds after the cop reported his location, dispatch came on the radio stating there *was not* a BP at that location!!!!
The fact a cop can beat/kill and get paid leave with no consequences yet this guy gets 36 months is insane and shows how screwed up the justice system is..
Well I better have a cop take away my little stash of drugs then throw me in jail and put a felony on me. Of course it’s wrong but one guy didn’t have a license and insurance and the other had a narcotic with him! Both charges could have serious consequences, especially if they are on probation. The chance is high for that since they both displayed the behavior of people with former law infractions. So basically the cop cut them the biggest break possible, which legally wouldn’t even been possible. So he treated them better than allowed by the law, which is ironic that he got fired and jailed for that. If he treated them harsher I bet there wouldn’t have been charges. Simple violence is much worse to the state than leniency and a cop snorting some fun powder in his free time. Of course a addicted drug is a no go I know I know, but what I described is basically how it is. The criminals and the cop profited from the interaction, so basically nobody is at a loss (just a few “man made laws” were violated, which unfortunately are more important than treating someone correctly these days). If I would dabble with such shit, I’d rather have this cop pull me over again and again then another cop whose strictly law and order and puts me in the jailhouse for a long long time)
@@Kiyonce.KartierI think they're just pointing out the inconsistency of the justice system. Cops that have done far worse get far less punishment usually
Imagine what would happen if the supervisors over these officers regularly audited their body cams and took legal action against any cops found to be in violation of the law or policy. Imagine the integrity that would instill in the rank and file. Imagine the faith in our police services by the public that could result from just such a change. Imagine!
I imagine if their supervisors were to do this, they would find there was no wrong doing and the officers followed policy after they investigated themselves. The issue is, this behavior is learned and passed on from those in positions of authority. Sometimes you will get a supervisor or commander who will call out this behavior and act against it. But there is a ton of videos of Sheriff's, officers, and long term veterans acting in similar matters.
Indeed! What a great idea*! Now instead of them saying "We investigated ourselves and found no wrong doing" once a day, they'll be saying it MULTIPLE times a day - even when to a layman an obvious crime has been committed! */sarcasm
This channel doesn't get the viewership and subscribers it truly deserves. Thanks for the videos and keep up the good work Mr Lawyer Man 👍🏼 Hope y'all have a good weekend
I know at least one. I've only known him for a couple of years, but he lives near my place, and while I've never seen him in his job, I know him to be a good husband and father.
@@DavidRay39 that may be but, even if he wanted to be a good cop the rest of the gang, (cop are the largest and the worst of all the gangs), wouldn't allow him to be.
It’s insane to think of what cops got away with before body cameras. Also did I hear that right . He actually found the drugs he didn’t plant them and then steals themb
The Ten Commandments of Leo interactions * Never be in the proximity of a Leo * Never answer questions * Always film every encounter * Use a dashcam * Always have lic, reg, & ins in an envelope above the visor * Never perform a field sobriety test * Never consent to a search * Never keep meaningful amounts of cash/valuables in your car * Never pay a citation w/out a court date * Always consult an attorney
This is why you’ll never see me with a back the blue flag. I want to support the police, and I do when they’re professional, but there are way too many 💩
Because they think they are untouchable. Which is close to true, excepting the occasional few lucky that get sacrificed so it look like the powers that be are watching out for the public.
I don't know that I like watching videos like this as much as I appreciate that they exist. Watching them makes me feel disgusted because of the actions that I see displayed by those who should be enforcing the laws they are violating. I like that they are getting caught.
Right on, it makes me too angry to watch them too often. I will usually limit myself to 1 a day if possible! But so glad regular people get to see this garbage.
It's completely unsettling knowing that you could be next, just because... There are certainly days I wish that I was blissfully ignorant to it all. Just walking around with my head in the clouds, and believing everything is on the straight and level. 😕
Once again a classic example of guilty till proven innocent. To governmental employers stop hiring poor employees. I am at a complete loss that this occurred, let alone was recorded.
@@OompaPompano it was my impression that they were using "poor" to mean "performing badly" like "that was a poor showing" as opposed to meaning "impoverished", but I'm sure I don't know.
He clearly took money from the driver's wallet and did something with it (looks like he put it on the passenger side of the car) and then suddenly "drugs" appear wrapped in that same bill. And he was obviously staging his evidence, intentionally out of view of his bodycam, when he moved to the passenger side of the car. PDs everywhere need to purge their ranks of these scumbags.
I think he found out the other bystander was recording him so he stopped staging evidence and that’s why he arrested the other black guy cause he was pissed off about that
I was friends with someone who was a recovering drug addicts, and who had briefly distributed drugs in order to support her habit. Before she went into rehab she was busted and was facing serious prison time, she told me she had almost a full kilo of Coke in her backpack, and she got logged with an ounce!
