@@ciraeyna-mom Well it turns out this helped me more that I imagined I set it up the first time and forgot to put data at the end of the game link. Ended up watching it twice but all working now and wow what a difference it makes in game to all the mods I installed.
This was great. I have been struggling to figure out why some outfits were showing up invisible on my game, even when I was batch building. I wasn't understanding that I literally need to BUILD the outfit first. I am going to do that now, and hopefully it works.
omg thank you so much this was so annoying to figure out if you hadnt uploaded this i wouldve never known how to do it i was using vortex and hadnt created that extra folder when i did it, it didnt work at first so i put it into the data folder for fallout and then i batch built it in that folder and then erased it for the output and did it in the normal fallout character thing and it worked tysmm you saved me so much time

@@dreadkx6214 there are several things packed into this question, so I hope I answer the right thing! 1. Not all outfits are BS compatible; those that are not won’t be available in BS as an option. 2. You shouldn’t need to move anything to the Output folder. It’s only there to catch the things BS builds. Any other outfits can just be activated in the mod list and left there as is. 3. If the outfit is definitely BS compatible, make sure it’s made for the body mod you’re trying to use. If you pick a body shape that is for a different body than the outfit is made for, you won’t see it in the options to build.
You have to build the naked body to the same preset. Remember that the body without clothes is actually a different file than the body included in an outfit. So you have to build both to make sure they match!
It depends! Did you choose "Physics" versions of the outfits? Also, note that in regular CBBE, there are not very many outfits with physics - mostly the skimpier/cloth outfits since armors don't bounce. If you had 3BA outfits already, and you built over them with regular CBBE, then you have overwritten the 3BA bouncing versions. If that's the case, just reinstall/reactivate 3BA and then Batch Build again with the 3BA physics versions selected. There may be other things going on, so let me know if this helped or not, and we'll figure it out from there! 😉
Fantastic video, I had a few things set up incorrectly (wasn't pointing BodySlide to the data folder and had target game set to Skyrim, not SSE) and after spending a good few hours trawling through forums and other videos, this is the first one to help me narrow down the issues I'm having. One problem I still can't figure out though is that the sliders in Racemenu don't update live. They do seem to work, but I need to exit Racemenu and either equip or unequip some clothing/armour to 'refresh' the body. This makes it so I can't really customise my character because I can't see what effect the changes are having until after I've applied them, left the menu, pulled up my inventory and then changed my equipment. If you have any ideas on what this might be I'd really apprecaite it

@@ciraeyna-mom Amazing, thank you so much! Seems like we're in an unlucky minority of people with the issue, no wonder I couldn't dig up any information. I've opted to use the mod that disables some features of SSE Engine Fixes as the other one wasn't working for me. But I think a good compromise would be to turn it off when I'm not actually editing the body sliders since there seems to be some controvery around it causing other issues, that way it won't be a potential problem 99% of the time, but it's there when I need to make edits.
Hmm, that is aggravating I'm sure. If all you did was apply a different preset and rebuild an outfit, then it should not be capable of crashing your game. All BodySlide does is make NIFs. It does not touch any plugins, has no scripts, and does absolutely nothing at all while you are in Skyrim. It runs when you hit "Build" and does nothing at all before/after that. So...either there is something wrong with the outfit mods, or else you made some other change. Did you accidentally build a physics outfit without having the appropriate physics mods installed?
If you know which 2 mods they were, you can rebuild the outfits again, making sure you don't build any that say "physics" or "SMP". That should overwrite the others, unless you moved the files. Or you can find the NIFs you built and just delete them. There's an option to use BodySlide itself to delete what you built, but you'd have to know exactly which outfits/parts you selected the first time...and I don't want to confuse you by making it complicated. 😉
@@ciraeyna-mom I was able to finally get in but now those mods don't work. I deleted and reinstalled the mods and bodyslide as well as the nifs and they still don't work🫤

This is the way Skyrim works! Your character and NPCs share the same body files. Whatever you build in BodySlide is what all the NPCs will use unless they have their own specific files from another mod. So this is probably why the character creator in game was not letting me properly edit the bodies in game. Everytime I look up how to fix stuff involving mods I feel dumber
I'm following along and I'm at the part where I'm using the slider, but the preview is not changing I am using Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Edition on vortex what did I do wrong?
Make sure you are looking at the body size in the Preview Window that matches the slider set you are changing. The sliders on the left are for size 0, so you need to move the little slider in the Preview Window to the left as well. Likewise, the sliders on the right are for size 1, so you have to move the slider in the Preview Window all the way to the right to see those changes. If that doesn't fix it for you, feel free to post again and we'll try something else! 😄
Well, I'm not sure this is the right place to ask for MO2 help - but really all you have to do is open MO2, open Nexus, download the mod with the Mod Manager Download button (and click yes if it asks you to link proxies or something like that). Then in MO2, click on the Downloads tab in the right-hand pane and double-click on the mod you want to install. Click through any windows that come up, selecting whatever options you want (if there are any). Once that's done, the new mod will show up at the bottom of the left-hand pane, and you just tick the box to activate it. You can either run LOOT to sort your load order, or you can manually drag and drop the mod (in both the left pane and the right pane if it has a plugin file) to wherever you want it to load. Hi. I'm here cause I was hoping that the video explain how to do the same thing but for two different games at the same time. I'm already using Bodyslide for my ultra modded Skyrim (450+ mods). Now I want to use it for Fallout 4 also. I've also opened a topid in Reddit but nobody answer me. Can I simply create another Bodyslide output in the Fallout 4 modlists?
The short answer is yes, but make sure you have the rest set up correctly! I don’t have personal experience with this, but my understanding is that you have to install a separate version of BS (the one for FO) in the location of the mods for the other game. Then point the settings of THAT version to the game you want to use it for (FO4). You should be able to set up a different output folder and point to it from the new BS installed specific to the other game. I hope that makes sense! 😊
My preview isn't changing in real time? Also, rcemenu doesn't seem to be working. I can see it under creations in the game menu, but only some of the racemenu items have the check by them, that I assume means they're working?
Hi and welcome! Could you be more specific about the preview issue? Which body mod are you using, which outfits are you previewing, and are you selecting different Presets in the dropdown list or are you moving sliders? If you are moving the low weight sliders, be sure the preview slider is set all the way to the left (low weight); and if you are moving high weight sliders, be sure the preview slider is set all the way to the right (high weight). Assuming this is for Skyrim, that is. 😋 As for RaceMenu, that is a different beast altogether since it is not tied to BodySlide at all (except that BS will make the tri files that RaceMenu uses). I do not use creations, so I can't comment on that. I use the RaceMenu mod from the Nexus.
@@ciraeyna-mom Moving the high weight sliders fixed it, lol. I uninstalled and reinstalled Racemenu, from Nexus, so we'll see if that helped. I managed to create a body starting with a pre-set and moved the sliders to my liking and saved it, as per your video. I haven't loaded up my game yet to see if it's available. Will it appear on the preset slider bar in game? And will I need to create any outfits I want to the new saved preset I made using bodyslide? I hope that made sense.
Glad that fixed the issue, yay! For the preset/outfit question: yes, if you want the outfits to have the shape of the preset you made, then you will have to build them in BodySlide with that preset selected in the dropdown list. For in-game RaceMenu morphs: I know a lot less about how this works, but I believe the "presets" there are not the same presets as in BodySlide. I think you can save the morph shapes you create within RaceMenu as their own presets to apply across different outfits from within the game. But I do not believe RaceMenu-Presets and BodySlide-Presets can be cross-applied. (I might be wrong, so you can test this out and see!)
I'm having a problem regarding the bodyslide morph sliders. I checked the box at the bottom of the page next to the build button, but some of the morph sliders in racemenu are not working. The weird thing is that all the morph sliders work when the character is clothed, but when the character is not clothed, some of the morph sliders don't apply changes at all. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Am I gonna have to reinstall CBBE with different settings, launch the game, exit the game, and reinstall CBBE again with the original settings?
I have not had this problem - but check your body and outfits to see if they have the same body sliders. Older CBBE did not have as many sliders as current CBBE, so there could be a mismatch. You might want to reinstall CBBE and/or rebuild the naked body to make sure you have the most recent version. Other than that, I'm not sure what might be happening. I'm not an expert in RaceMenu morphs!
BodySlide (for Skyrim) has two sets of sliders - the one on the left for size 0, and the one on the right for size 1. The Presets that come with mods usually have different sliders settings for both so that you will see a "changed" body at both weights in the game. However, it depends on how the sliders were set up. Check both in the Preview Window (move the slider at the top of the preview window, 0 = low weight and 100 = high weight) so you can see how the body will look in RaceMenu across the whole weight setting slider.
@@ciraeyna-mom thankyou for replying, I got the solution. I recently installed a adult mod(s**craft) from LLab after disabling .esp it's return to preset weight.
The in-game slider is in RaceMenu; it's one of the options across the top of the screen. You have to install both RaceMenu and the morph plugin that comes with your body mod (such as RaceMenuMorphsCBBE.esp). And then you have to tick the box to "Build Morphs" when you build your body and/or outfits in BodySlide. If you do not already know how to access RaceMenu in the game, you hit ~ to open the console, type showracemenu and hit Enter.
So I commented earlier and discovered that what I tried didn't work. :( I found the outfit, built it, but the outfit is still showing invisible in my game. I am at a loss at what I am doing wrong. I have the matching body mesh and everything. Gonna keep looking, I guess! :D
Is this an existing outfit mod, or is it one that you made or edited yourself? There can be various reasons why it is invisible in the game - none of which are probably BodySlide issues! Let me know more info, and I'll see if I can help! 😊
When you say it's invisible, does that mean your entire body disappears when you put it on? or does that mean you can't see the item when you put it on, but instead you see a whole naked body? can you share a link to the mod? and has anyone else reported having issues with the outfit?
If things aren't showing up, then something is probably not installed correctly. Can you see CBBE or anything? Or did you only install TBD? Can I suggest you watch the longer version of this here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yMQKOzpWGKY.htmlsi=cMWN4-wzEmw3k_kF (perhaps at least the troubleshooting section at the end if you don't want to sit through the whole thing). And make sure to test the obvious; i.e., you have TBD + it's BodySlide files installed and activated 😄
So I relaunched my PC today and went into BodySlide to follow the tutorial you linked and suddenly the body types are just THERE now. Apparently my computer just wanted me to turn it off and back on again to fix it. It just works @_@ Bruh I did follow the steps in the video you linked to make sure my updates to the bodies don't override anything so thank you a lot for linking that.

TBD = Touched by Dibella? You can't use TBD and CBBE at the same time because they both do the same thing (replace the female body). So I suggest you just pick whichever you like best and turn off the other one. That will fix the issue of having too many options to choose!
In BodySlide or in RaceMenu? I suggest watching the longer version of the installation video - and perhaps a few others in this series to see if they help you troubleshoot the issue!
