Aviation is one of Ethiopia's notable strength. I sincerely appreciate how they have effectively managed that industry (piloting, engineering/maintenance, etc) where other countries have failed woefully. Āmeseginalehu 😘💕

Which barriers, exactly? Women in cockpits will stop being a big deal when we stop making it into a big deal. If everyone just took that as a normal thing, instead of writing hundreds of "congratulatory" comments, it might just become a normal thing much more quickly.
How cool!! A Beautiful Young Woman in Command!! I remember a tragedy where an excellent Lady Pilot was lost along with everyone else because of improperly inventoried and packed cargo. It was a Value Jet flight. The Captain was Candalyn Kubeck.😢

Great? Ever notice how women drive cars? Why do you think they would be any better with a giant jet? They aren't. Stats already show that female pilots in the U.S. are statistically much more likely to be involved in a fatal, pilot-error accident than male pilots.

I just watched Ron Howard's movie a few hours ago, and happened to randomly click on this one because of the thumbnail alone. Interesting combo of viewing, but I'd recommend it to the "aerophile". These two pilots are the ultimate professionals and that is one groomed cockpit. It feels VERY safe and secure in their hands. Really a joy to watch. Kudos to pilots who truly value their training and their careers. -You might be a big shot on the tarmac, but you ain't nothin' but hangin' on up there with the rest of us.-
I love flying and I can sit for hours plane spotting on RU-vid. But this was so special seeing this young lady flying that plane it made me so proud. Great job

I admire this crew for their fluency in the English language more than the fact they can fly an airplane. Myself I am essentially uneducated, speak only english yet have spent most of my working life as an airline pilot.

English has nothing to do with knowledge....wth. English is probably the least important skill they possess.... English is forced on the world not preferred.

I think after couple of incident,now 737 max 8 finaly airworthy again after get modifications. Pilots must know the different of this 737 new series not just from buletin but few times flight in simulator for this series. 737 are very legendary safe aircraft for a decade. And hope this Max series will be fly around the world.
We can see and hear the 737max MCAS system as work when 40 second after takeoff . It started trimming the airplane in order to keeping it maintained correct angles of take off.
No, It was the captain manual inputs on the stabilizer trim. The mcas is only active in specifc conditions of flight with a high aoa for a relatively low airspeed.
I remember I took a flight with air Canada piloted by a female capitaine from Toronto to Baltimore, that was in 2013. Then I see my native country compatriotes, Ethiopian females pilots on boying 777, 737 & Airbus A350 that gave me some kind of pride.
