THAI has its origins in 1960 as a joint venture between Thailand's domestic carrier, Thai Airways Company and Scandinavian Airlines System. The best place to hear this sound is in the cabin, right over the wing. Spooling up to take-off power is music to my ears.

I think the Boeing 747-400 will always be the most Beautiful Airplane in the sky's, Look at her magnificent profile, then look at the Airbus 380, it's windscreen design looks out of sync with the size of the plane

Thai Airways International = Thai Airways (purple pink yellow paint after 1999/ long magenta/red paint around 1970-1999)` = Thai International (in 1960). They have that this plane, painted for celebrating their 50 years anniversary for their first flight to Hong Kong as same as their plane in 1960

The old livery of Thai it's quite similar to the old livery of Scandinavian Airlines Sysytem (SAS). Nice vid!

As much as I love the 747.........I automatically give a thumbs down to any video that I have to spend more time removing the pop ups, than the video is in length!

Lotsa wind. I ain't no pilot, but that rotation looked a little close to me. Might have just been the angle and perspective. The new ones climb really fast. Told this by a friend who flew 742s for Southern Air Transport. He knows the old from the capabilities of the new...
