Jack Herstam - Really? Maybe you mean the new international terminal. The domestic terminals are my least favorite airport of the several that I have used in recent years. SFO is particularly bad for someone waiting to meet an arrival, because there are almost no services outside of security and very few places to sit down.
The views are quite beautiful. Interestingly enough, those approach controllers who vector arrivals on final into SFO work at NORCAL TRACON, a consolidated ATC facility in Mather, CA (near Sacramento). NORCAL handles departures and arrivals for SFO, SJC, OAK, SMF, and a few smaller airports. Those people are pros.
The splatted bug on the front left window bugged me during the the entire video, which was otherwise amazing, great view of the SF. Thank you Guillaume for providing these for us.

Awesome video!I I just flew AF082 back to SF 10 days ago. I usually don't sit by the window so I haven't really got a chance to see the birdview of SF. It was nice to see when the plane approached SF from your video (you passed by my home :) Thanks for sharing this nice video.
SFO and OAK are almost directly across the bay from one another. I used to live on the hills in San Carlos. We could sit on our balcony at night to watch the planes coming in for both airports.
Spencer Atkisson my mate flew from SNS to LVK in a Piper Alpha 28 recently up the coast and north over the golden gate and bay bridges, and it looked crazy just watching on FR24. 777 pilot too. Edit: might have been MRY not SNS. I dunno now.
As someone mentioned, San Jose (SJC) is just to the south. Planes landing on 28L/R from the north will turn left before Moffet Federal (NUQ) at seen at 4:17. Also in the area are several GA airports. San Carlos (SQL), Palo Alto (PAO), Hayward Executive (HWD), Half Moon Bay (HAF), and Buchanan Field (CCR). There is also heavy helicopter traffic for police, news/traffic, medical (To Stanford University Medical and UCSF Children's Hospital), tourist, and those with very high net worth. A little further out but there is also Reid-Hillview (RHV), Livermore Municipal (LVK), and Marin County/Gnoss Field (DVO). Busy airspace indeed.
Really cool to see what the BDEGA3 arrival looks like from the cockpit. I see flights following this standard terminal arrival route all the time on flightaware.

Back in the day, SFO had both a passenger lounge and a restaurant that overlooked the two north-south runways,. You could watch planes take off and land on both parallel runways, with San Francisco Bay and the East Bay hills in the background. At dusk and night, one of the most beautiful views ANYWHERE.
Good news greg gross...Brand new outdoor observation deck to open below the new tower to open in Oct 2019. Open to anyone even those non ticketed. Views of all the parallel runways. Looks amazing from the renderings. See you SFO in November!
Magnifique approche atterrissage en douceur. Il est immense cet aéroport ! Garés tout au bout : un peu de marche pour les passagers ! La petite galère commence : ne rien oublier dans l'avion .2 savoir ou aller.3 trouver le bagages claim, 4 repasser la douane.5 prendre un doliprane et un anxiolytique ! 6 sortie ou correspondance et dans ce cas c'est encore une autre histoire.
Great video! Nice view of the instrument panels, annotations of landmarks, and animated approach charts. The scenery on approach and final was quite impressive as well. This video is making me realize I need to increase the priority of getting a higher resolution monitor. Thanks!
I have only traveled to 4 different airports. Before I started traveling, I didn’t know how beautiful San Francisco’s airport really is. (I usually go to sfo because I live near it)
El Parigot houla je pense pas ça aurait fait bien plus de dégâts. En effet la plupart des avions qui ont percuté des oiseaux doivent retourner à l’aéroport la majorité des cas. Souvent beaucoup de dégâts sont à déploré. Je t’invite à regarder sur Google et tu verras bien ^^

Le compensateur agit sur la gouverne de profondeur de queue pour assurer un eassiette correcte. Généralement ajusté dans la config de vol mais parfois à corriger en phase finale.

What happened between 3:32 and 3.33? Seemed to come in over waypoints THHEO and SUTRO, then shifted west over in the direction of THEEZ. Was there some holding over the San Mateo mountains that was cut? Nice video as always :)
