Colbert’s been there like a year, rose thru management out of nowhere based on his technical experience in ….?

He was the Head of Boeing IT several years old I think, don't know what he did before that.

He’s probably going to get a big severance check for leaving too. The problem with this is that they’re only scratching the surface as to where the problem lies. It’s the managers of departments and programs that are the incompetent ones.

Instead of telling us working class to cut down on avocado toast, how about you overpaid class cut down on your number of vacation houses and fancy cars?

You mean those parts those same striking factory workers forgot to put on or install correctly... if they want 40 percent increase in pay then they better build planes 40 percent safer, faster, and and profitable too... easy to 'blame it on the man'... when the blame is on the factory floor... been there done that.. Former Boeing Everett - Lean Manufacturing... we didn't complain we improved everything...
@miltonsantiago6086
@miltonsantiago6086 3 дня назад
@SJR_Media_Group I doubt you were much help, it's because of people like you that Boeing is in this mess now, it's people like you that try to do more with less, it's because of people like you that so many experienced factory workers left the company, people in your department should be the first ones out the door during layoffs.

Not to worry. Boeing jets are being assembled by minimum wage replacements as the strike continues. It'll probably be okay.

Actually, Boeing jets are not being assembled.

Former Boeing - Lean Manufacturing... did you just hear what one striker just said? "all we want to do is build safer airplanes)... what the heck... the only ones building UNSAFE airplanes are those same guys on the factory floor... when I worked there, workers took great pride in building not only the best aircraft... but also the safest aircraft... easy to blame the 'man' (managers) but at what point do workers have to take their own responsibility in this mess currently at Boeing ???

IAM didn't invent MCAS and deceive the FAA over it.. "Managers" went on a rampage to mass hire unqualified and inexperienced employees and did not give them proper training.. "Mangers" only care about shipping parts at all costs and punish the employees who bring up quality and safety concerns! "Managers" are NOT needed! IAM and SPEEA can do this without them!

@@ezeNdogDo you or have you ever worked at Boeing and if so where, when, and doing what? I can tell from your RU-vid Profile, lack of any content, no photo, no information, that you must be some expert in all things Boeing and making planes... Am I missing something ?

@@SJR_Media_Group Yeah i came from general aviation before I worked at Boeing, A&P mechanic, been at boeing up in Everett since 2010. I worked in heavy structures rework, on the 787 and yes I'm familiar with "lean" manufacturing because of it. I can tell you from 1st hand experience that safety, quality, and building things to engineering specifications ect, goes out the window when profits come into play. Management gets a good PM bonus if things are kept moving regardless. Management would rather move a screwed up plane before they bring up any real issues that might slow down the line because it could affect their career moves. We would bring up major issues to stop the line, we would come in the next day and some one on another shift somehow completed a complex repair overnight that should take days. Also it had QA magically approved everything because it was worded in a way to justify its acceptance. All because of management pressure, if we stood up to management too much, it just ended in harassment or you got blacklisted if any further personal issues arose. After a while we just did what we knew was correct to cover our ass and turned a blind eye. Most management didn't even know what they were looking at or cared, it was all about title, ego, and pay, it's just a career game for them. Its very sad to watch what used to be a very experienced workforce from top to bottom, just dissolving in a matter of 10 years. All the legacy employees just stand there and watch the company fall apart around us. If the problems were from a cancer standpoint, we would be stage 4 about to go on hospice. Have you not heard, apparently coming forward to the media apparently makes you suicidal?
