"most of the accidents are due to human errors" is a one sided statistic since it doesnt take into account when accidents were avoided by human intevention (according to nasa), still an amazing product but i dont see how the faa will let this through by 2025 as this company hopes
Are there also electric aircrafts that are flown by a human pilot? I'd love to have fewer emissions when flying, but would still feel more comfortable with a human flying it.
Most of the aircraft crashes are due to human errors and there is a supervisor on the ground which is both good and bad. If he doesn't like your head, he can send you to heaven :). As he said, more than 92% of the flight time of modern modern aircrafts today are already autonomous. The most important thing he said is that they are not planning to sell these aircrafts which makes a lot of sense. The beginning can be expected to be shaky.
Over 90% of commercial flight is done on auto pilot.Really no difference.Actually there can be multiple ground pilots/supervisors that can take full control at any moment.
" I can't do that , I'm sorry Dave..." (your on board HAL 9000 to the screaming passengers as it enters a terminal velocity dive .... AI has become concious and suicidal......)
That would be more sensible…a hybrid…or a gas powered autogyro…for short range interurban commute…a very small heliport can support an auto gyro and they can definitely fly for longer and are faster..electric just doesn’t cut it…hydrogen fuel cells maybe some day…but as they found out in Chicago a few weeks ago…those Tesla owners…one cold night and you ain’t going nowhere…
