It's a real shame, without knowing the standard the dogs in the rpcs were better looking and mixed boerboels in south africa. One of the most impressive pair of dogs that I saw was in Namibia, they were boerboel x ridgeback. They reminded more of the original dogs
Can you do an appraisal via live video chat because here in the USA the breed standards are different than the breed standards in Africa, and what is your face book page I love your you tube videos their are very informative
Hi Amanda, my personal Facebook page is johanswart100. I do have a kennel page as well but as I am not a commercial breeder I hardly ever post there. It is linjoboerboels. I do not do online appraisals but I receive so many requests for independent evaluations, that I might consider it some time in the future
I am 71 I want a boreboel. I have had a rotti ,American bull dog, pitts and Sheppard. I don’t move like I use to need hip replacement so what do you think about my choice on the boreboel. I think he is trainable to deal with me using a walker.
Boerboels need strong leadership otherwise.tjey take over dominance and will not be nice to have. If you cant enforce sttong leadership (disciplinary as well as physical) I would not suggest a Boerboel.. They are physically dominany and, even though they might be couch patotoes at times, still need physical exercise
@@Mr.Toniothatis2030 I prefer not to do it as I am not involved with the shenannigans of most breeders and which dogs they are using. Where are you based?
I think allot of people start to recognize the deviation from the breed standard but the breeder options out there are very limited...There has to be a way how we can fix this before the breed is totally ruined !? South African Breeders should let their pride and greed go and get back on track with the quality dogs they produce!! Buyers should also buy dogs that represent the breeding standard or it will end up ruined
In South Africa we have the crazy situation that, under a law in conflict with the Constitution of the Country, only one organisation is allowed. This mean that all change will have to take place inside this organisation, which is controlled by persons with vested interests. It will be difficult but breeders will have to start getting together and planning how to take back control.
Following this as well. If one was to get one dog from who and where. I’m in Canada and seen few breeders and their dogs are well over 170lbs. I don’t even know what the normal is.
Hi LB, I do not think I should start promoting specific breeders here. There are still a few good breeders out there but to publicly list them will not be fair as I might forget about another good breeder in the same region and all the non-listed breeders will then be my arch enemies ..... Where are you based? Please send me a PM on Facebook Messenger.
@@TheZakkmylde Hi, I used to know quite a few good breeders in Canada but I am not even sure if they are breeding any more. Send me a PM on Facebook Messenger and I will try to point you in the right direction.
