I have one of those boilers, and over the years I have had just about every part you mentioned replaced at one time or another, I think I've bought the damn thing twice! The latest fault is when the boiler fires up for water or heating it trips the ring mains and the breaker on the consumer unit! Great! more expense. ...............Intergas next time I reckon.

Same as you mate I've had almost every part replaced, yesterday they condemned it saying it's uneconomical to repair. Who said Vailant was good?

That's an 828 or an 824! Good start mate👍 242 is the older version of that boiler
