Storm and Brooke push to have their father declared legally dead so Eric can marry Beth. Grandma Logan tells Beth not to wear Eric’s ring. Stephanie pumps Brooke for information about Stephen.

And I suggest YOU, MOTHER LOGAN, take a good look at how your son decidedly walked out on his family (for whatever the reason). You asked the question: “Doesn’t he deserve a wife and family to come home to?” He had it and left it. Doesn’t sound like someone who wanted it nor deserves it.

I firmly believe that the emotional toll caused by Stephen's disappearance catapulted Beth's breast cancer. Yet Mother Logan wants the cause of the cancer to come back and be OK.

Grandma Logan is selfish. Her son was unfair to Beth, leaving her alone with four kids and heavy bills. Beth suffered emotionally, mentally, socially and financially when Steven left. Beth spent 8 years being a good mother and single. She deserves to be happy. Grandma Logan is unfair and bias. I don't like how Grandma Logan reacts everytime, the issue of Beth and Eric is brought up. Beth is not a child, she can have a problem with Eric being married. Not with Beth finding someone either than Eric.

What a ridiculous thought Grandma Logan has! OK, isn't it a case of rooting for Beth to be Eric's lover, but demanding that Beth wait patiently for the supposed return of a husband who abandoned her with four children? As Storm pointed out, Beth has the right to file for divorce on grounds of desertion. I firmly believe that the emotional toll caused by Stephen's disappearance catapulted Beth's breast cancer.

I understand that Katie Logan has issues with her complexion, but did she always have to dress so frumpy for a teenager? I'm not saying she should of dressed trashy or anything but at least dress a little more like Donna or Brooke, a little more like her age, not like she dresses like she from 20 years earlier, i understand they are a middle class family from the valley but I thought Katie's wardrobes could of been a bit more age appropriate. I seen Katie wearing a dress that could of look like a maternity jumper type .

Grandma better be quiet. Her son don't deserve nothing. That man walked out on his family 8 years ago. Why should Beth put her life on hold for him? Now I'm not saying she should be with Eric either but she definitely shouldn't waste her time waiting for him to come back when there is a possibility he never will. Aldo, I'm torn between wanting Eric with Stephanie and wanting him with Beth. It seems as though Stephanie did take him away from Beth bac in college when she got pregnant which is how they wound up married. But that mad sat up there for years and continued to make children with its woman and build a business off of her money. He wasn't a prisoner. Then again, Beth was always his true love.

I like this show for many reasons but I have to emphasise how great it is (and especially was in the 80s) to teach the audience about rape, how it happens and how it's dealt with by the authorities, and now also they highlighted the importance of regular medical checks we should all do in order to prevent or discover cancer on time and get treatment. I feel I have learnt so much.

But I also have to add that it is annoying how they make certain characters who had been smart and reasonable all the time behave in an annoying way, like Grandma Logan in this episode, Brook's behaviour towards Caroline (sorry, but if my best friend's ex, was the last man on Earth, I'd never date him), Thorn's pursuit of Caroline (again, sorry, but if my sister's ex was the last man on Earth, he'd never be an option for me; it's incestuous), Mark whose character developed so nicely suddenly cheating just so we can somehow cheer for Donna. etc.

Watching again in 2024. I can't help but feel angry at Steven's mother's selfishness. Don't remember her even pretending to empathize with Beth who struggled to keep the family together and raised such wonderful children except for the twisted characters - Donna and Brooke - of course. Sick of her standing up for her son when he obviously doesn't deserve a faithful and loyalist like Beth. Her question "doesn't my son deserve a family and a wife to come to"? is disgusting. Ugg 🙄. Why doesn't the script writer include a slap to the jaw after this phrase? 😂

What exactly do they take? Eric has always been in love with Beth and Brooke went after Ridge with Caroline's blessings so far. Also Stephanie's hired a pi to search for Steven so I don't think she's thinking of their feelings either

Exactly Stephanie is trying to find their dad so that her husband will not go after Beth and she can stay married meanwhile she knows that Eric's in love with that and she just can't let them be happy and she's using the daughter to get information about her father so that again she can manipulate her mother away from her husband and her husband and Brooke's mother is in the hospital recovering from breast cancer surgery so I think Stephanie is manipulating and taking and taking and not caring about anybody else but herself and that's the truth 😡

I feel bad for Stephanie. She has been fighting to save her marriage since the very 1st episode. It seems like Eric just used Stephanie. He married her cuz she was pregnant yes but Stephanie was financially well off and it didn't bother him a bit to use her family's money to build his empire and now he finds his old college love and can just dump Stephanie without a thought.
