I have one of those Phoibos and love it. I changed the bracelet to a female endlink style which reduced the lug to lug. But, the watch is gorgeous in orange sunburst. Fantastic lume also.
This is probably my favorite Phoibos. Phoibos is definitely underrated and maybe a part of the reason is that their watches overall are a little large. And yes, they may be just a little too unique for most. Thanks for the honest review as always.
NIce review and great watch. Couldn't agree with you more that the lack of attention Phoibos gets is a shame. I love my Wavemaster and it gets more than its fair share of wrist time. The compressor style can be a hit or miss, and in this situation it works for me. The dial choices are very attractive. Thanks for spotlighting the brand and this piece.
Had the red dial 2yrs back.. Just didn't connect with the dial colour. But Phoibos SHOULD be better thought of and tried. The style and quality was amazing. I do still miss that bracelet - so comfortable and good looking. More micros should look at that style over a 3 link oyster
Great review, I have not owned a Phoibos yet, that is a lovely looking watch but I have found I just don't do inner rotating bezels, I have tried but just not for me, maybe I will try one of their other more standard divers somewhen, anyways cheers for review.
Nice review..I quite like it but...there's always a but..😁 I think the bracelet is maybe too dressy and looks a bit odd, which leads me onto why they probably had minimal adjustment on the clasp. I think they know that 99.9 % of people will never go diving in a wetsuit with one and just left it on a standard clasp. It does look well made though like you say and they have a good rep don't they so can't fault that at all. Love the knurling on the crowns and gives it a real sense of finishing. The dial colour almost looks champagne coloured (which is nice) but I guess it's one of those that changes all the time..Cheers 👍☺️
Nice watch nicely described don’t think I better buy any more watches this year I have had a good few this year I am Having problems deciding which one to wear Each day now
Anybody who appreciates a watch for what it is, rather than what's on the dial, will know Phoibos are far better than Seiko, unless of course you spend a fortune
