This week we see the German army continuing their advance towards Moscow, the Soviets, having been forced to retreat muster everyonethey can find to stand in defiance against the might of the German army. The Germans, feeling stretch push forward to keep the advantage.
Will the soviet red army push them back… will they get to withdraw to fight another day…
The German army has continued their advanced across the Russian steppe to the ling road leading to Moscow, again the two armies will go head to head in a battle to determine who will be victorious and win the day.
Bolt Action Battle Report: Campaign Operation Barbarossa, the long road to Moscow is the fifth in our campaign playing through the invasion of Russia seeing us battle the Operation Barbarossa campaign from the invasion of the Russian steppes through to Stalingrad and Operation Uranus and hopefully back to the fall of Berlin!!!
Utilising the rule and Campaign Books we will play through different scenarios to see who will win the war on the eastern front.
This week we play a scenario comprising of an inexperienced Soviet army routed and withdrawing across the Russian Steppe on the long road leading to Moscow, in an adapted scenario - Michael’s soviet force will have to hold off Germans advancing across the battle field through the countryside, whilst the German force will take the lead in trying to push through or destroy as many Soviets as possible.
The battle across the Russian Steppe and across their homes will see one side victorious and the other will be pushed back for the next battle in the Operation Barbarossa campaign, sees the two armies going head to head for a winner takes all battle to the death.
Warlord Games figures and their Bolt Action rules we are all set for a thrilling and desperate race to the objective and to win.
Another great battle, fantastic board and a few laughs and banter along the way…
