That was awesome, but the baby in the rocking chair in the back was a "killer" :))) You are amazing man!I have a 99 A6 and will be attempting the timing belt and water pump this week, just waiting for the locking tool set. I was shiting my pants until I watched your videos.
@@elyk46 my little bro drove it over the driveway/Side walk and destroyed the control arms and suspension 3 years ago and to this day it’s hard to find parts nowadays. SoCal is expensive as hell and it’s a huge disappointment looking at the car now.
Awesome man. She's purring like a kitten again. Thankfully on my car I made some progress found the crank sensor wires were all busted and causing my starting problems. Damn electrical gremlins
i guess im asking randomly but does anybody know a method to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Apollo Justice thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Justin will you give me that metal thin washer between crankshaft and T-belt spracket part No. please, I am looking at Audi ETKA and don't see any washer there, thanks. I replaced several T-belts on multiple Audi engines incl. 2.7 APB and don't remember that washer. Engine sounds so good. I am so exided for you.
Hey Justin, I also have a V6 B5, only it's a 2.5 TDI. Did those 200 NM and 180c turn all withstood with that locking bolt? I'm also planning to replace the crank o-ring only am a tad scared that the locking tool for the crankshaft does not withstand those forces, it seems a bit fragile honestly. Could you please respond to me if I can do that with just that locking pin for the crankshaft. Thanks Justin and best of luck with your beauty of an S4! :)
I use the locking pin for doing the crank bolt and also when I install flywheels and pressure plates. It does seem fragile, but I have not broken one yet. My only advice is, make sure you have a quality crank lock pin and not a cheap one. The one I have is the factory Audi pin.
Hey man! Question, when you fist crank the engine to make oil circulate, you said you did it without the ecu, you meant both connectors to the ecu completely disconnected? Or only one? If so which of them. And the second question is, how about the power steering pump? As all the lines are going to be empty, should I just filled the resevoir leaving the pump to suck the fluid or is there a better way? Thank you!
Xavi Alexander ; Disconnect both Ecu plugs. Power steering, I normally fill reservoir then spin pump by hand, fill reservoir, spin pump, repeat until pump quits sucking fluid.
So I finished the job, engine runs AMAZING, tranny was filled with bew fluid at the right temperature (specs). But! I got a exhaust leak from the manifold to the turbo. (I knew 25 nm was a crazy low number for an exhaust) however you advised that torque and it is all over the internet, but why and how this low? Doesn’t make any sense, both aluminum washers were placed correctly. This is a doable job from the top, I will have to remove the EGRs (maybe) or just clear the cabling on the firewall a little bit, remove turbo heat shields ( visible from top) and get to the bolts and apply...? 50nm? Keep in mind that everything was replaced new and OEM, but 25 nm there sounded crazy to me from the beginning haha! Exhaust smoke coming out from both sides of the engine looks funny, I clogged the rear exhaust pipe by hand and there no pressure, so I new it was from that aluminum ring ( the turbo to exhaust 4 bolts were tighten correctly so is not this one , thank god) I will update you wednesday once it’s done, any advise? Thanks Justin!
Hey Justin I have a quick question I drive a 2002 audi allroad and I just got k04’s installed into it and today I was driving parked and coolant just started pouring out my car does smoke white it’s in the back of the block thinking if it’s the heater core?
Chris Gerrard Timing belt job first. This goes for whoever purchases one of these cars. Even if the owner says it was done, I still recommend that the current owner has the timing belt done for peace of mind. Only time I would accept the word of the previous owner is if there is paperwork from a reputable shop on when it was done.... 😎
I don't work on no-car-o's.... Ha.... Get it? Get it?? I know.. dumb.Let me know when you are ready to buy the parts and I will let you know what to get.
