Just wanted to say thanks to you I was able to learn how to work on cars now I pursue a career as a tech (although I work for BMW) ahah thank you Justin! Hope to see you making videos again
@@JustinBallou01 thank you for that my friend, you taught me a lot. really helped my broke 19 year old self who couldn’t afford to pay a shop to fix their car haha! also take your time and live your life but hopefully you do come back to making videos, enjoy it first 😉
Hey sir, just wanted to say thanks. From your help I was able to take out my motor and transmission on my b5 s4 to do my turbos and clutch. I appreciate you
@@LaserB5S4 I lucked out my interior is in immaculate condition too!! I’m getting ready to dump my 650hp Single turbo setup in with Coolerworx shifter and Jhm solid linkage upgrade!
Dude, no way I just got my S4 started too on Christmas Eve day! after almost 6 years of sitting too. Your video just popped up on my feed and I was like just where do I remember this guy from? Oh yeah, I used to watch his videos all the time!!! Mine was mostly due to mental health and addiction but that car was something I could never let go and it was so good to finally get it going again. I can’t wait for this summer once it’s all done up!
While I have a B4 and an original S4, I still enjoy watching your videos working on the B5. I won't hold it against you for having one too many cylinders.
Nice! Love to see your content, and hear that beautiful FI exhaust note :-) Side note- what y pipe is this? Looks subtly stock but huge and haven’t seen the integrated dv bleed off like that before
Justin need your help, have u got any information on where to put the o2 sensors, am putting engine back in my s4 I’ve got new downpipes etc can’t remember where they go 🤦♂️
The front ones are self explanatory. The Black plugs are on each side of the firewall correlates to the side of the engine they are on (B1S1 is on Passenger Front, B2S1 is on Drivers side Front.). For the rear sensors (they plug in on passenger side firewall,) the green plug is B1S2 (passenger side rear sensor) and the brown plug is B2S2 (drivers side rear sensor.) Make sure to add some anti-seize to the sensor threads before installing, be careful not to get the anti-seize on the sensor.
I would need more information. The hard line into the clutch cylinder? If so, make sure you release the retaining clip. If the hard line is still not going in, it is possible the hard line is bent, or if it is a new clutch cylinder, something could be wrong with it. There are a handful of possibilities.
I have a 2001 B5 Passat GLX 4-Motion AWD 2.8L Automatic Transmission. Is there a separate check/fill plug for the center differential, or do I fill the center differential from the transmission check/fill plug? What type of fluid goes into the center differential: automatic transmission fluid, or gear oil?
I can NOT get the engine airbox lid to seat right over the filter. It keeps sitting on the rubber filter surround no matter how I place the filter in the box.
Hey Justin, I’m going from k03s to k04s dzx-273s and I got them from the guy I bought the car from, and he upgraded the wastegates and I can’t get the exhaust manifold to align with the bolt holes, so I’m kinda stuck.
The bolt holes won't line up......Does this mean the turbo housing is hitting something thus not allowing the holes to line up? If that is the case, most likely you will need to clock the housing(s) so that everything lines up. Now if you do clock the housing(s), you will need to re-set the wastegate cracking pressure, or at least check them. Hope this helps.
@@JustinBallou01 yes most likely will have to adjust the wastegate actuator, but it’s the actuator that’s hitting I think the motor mount bracket connected to the engine, the housing clears, just i don’t know why the stock actuator clears perfectly when these don’t, so I’ll try that and we’ll see. The driver side is mostly bolted up, just having issues with the coolant and oil feed line in the way of each other.
