Agree, my brother is front line full risk at regular pay. My wife a ND other brother made more getting laid off than when they were working and they both made more than my hero older brother. But we're well and good.

After some verbal fighting and threats of a strike, my old general manager got everyone who worked there up to then a bonus, how much you got was dependant on how much you worked, but it was better than nothing. The only people who didn't get this bonus were the 3 people who took about a month off even though none of them or anyone in their household was at risk.

I hope we all get something like that for being ‘essential’... I even got sick from my job, had to use vacation b/c we get no sick leave... if I had been allowed to, I would’ve protected myself. Somehow? But it was early March. So, by the time the vacuous waste of orange said we should worry, it was too late. And my bosses are trumpettes, so, the beatings continue until moral improves... I feel for ya -- on behalf of my many friends who have worked as restaurant servers. Tip Credit is the ultimate bullshit. It should be abolished, immediately. I have a deep, abiding hatred for this scheme that abuses restaurant servers of all sorts, to allow their employers to pay less into the work they do (as low as $2.13/hour). I am very fortunate to work for a franchisee of a major US pizza company that does NOT use Tip Credit in paying either its insiders or drivers.

To make that amount at my job I literally have to destroy my body (I go under the knife in just under two weeks to start fixing nerve damage from repetitive strain) due to the high stress/high impact/high workload/10 hour/6 day work weeks. Factory work sucks. But it's the only thing in the area that pays the bills and has a benefits package for someone like me with a bad heart (that bad heart is why I don't have a degree--first heart attack took me out of University before I could finish my degree, and I've been behind curve ever since trying to play catchup).
