I always enjoyed the darker and more mature tone of These Days reflecting a time of change in the world. This song definitely is a very dark and moody atmosphere of tension. It's kind of like an Alice In Chains song but much less metal.
This is a pretty dark record but everyone in the band says they were in a great place at the time. I suppose just changing with the times like they did with Keep The Faith
That was like me..few years ago I played to a lot of metal heads my fave bon Jovi song.if I was your mother.they said it's never bon Jovi it's really heavy for them.i said yes.showed them the cd .it's my fave music wise and lyric wise.we don't run is a very close second fave.bon Jovi rule baby!!! \m/
These Days es una obra maestra, si hubo algo que lo caracterizó aparte de ser tan oscuro y Grunge, fueron los B-Sides, que hasta pudieron entrar sin bronca alguna
I love it, one of my fave rare tracks by them. Would've been great if it was on the album, but then people would have a go at them for trying to tap into the grunge market
This song is from the single album "This Ain't a Love Song" (with just 5 songs). Then came These Days album, and then the Special Edition. "These Days" brought us everything we wanted.
I was there like your mother Like a brother, like a friend Said you'd be there like a heartbeat Thought I'd be there 'till the end Then you took me like a cancer You turned my conscience black Tell the cops"here keep the ransom" 'cause there's no turning back I ain't here for love or money And you don't see the truth So if you want to bleed me honey, Tonight I'll be your prostitute I will be your prostitute Yeah Hey hey hey Could you tell me one good reason 'cause I can't think of none First you love me then you hate me As the lies slip off your tongue You say talk for me Baby smile for me You tell me I'm the one You say bleed for me Baby breath for me Tell me when it's done Well I ain't here for love or money And you don't see the truth So if you're gonna need me honey Tonight I'll be your prostitute I will be your prostitute Yeah Hey hey hey, hey hey hey, hey hey hey I know there's no forgiveness For the things I've said and done At least I know what I am And I'm not the only one 'cause I ain't here for love or money You can't see the truth So if you want to bleed me honey Tonight I'll be your prostitute I will be your prostitute I will be your prostitute Yeah
Jon Bon Jovi likes Nirvana, and when he notices about the death of Kurt Cobain, Jon wrote a song to Frances Bean Cobain called Lonely At The Top, and was included in another Cd Single version of This Ain't A Love Song
Actually This aint a Love Song was a single they released from These Days album. Prostitute was a demo or b side that didnt make the album. And a few others were on that single cassette or cd
@dfd102 Not sure about 5, mine has This Aint a Love Song, When She Comes, Wedding Day and Prostitute. I vaguely remember an edition with 2 versions of the title track, but I'm not 100% on that
someone should make nirvana type of songs like masterplan made one extra song sounding just like queen. masterplan kisses from you ,. u'll find it from here if interested.
@dfd102 Oh well... dont know if this will help but the barcode for this one in 4228520012 it does get some hits by searching for it that way. It looks like it was released before the album, so I guess it might be a rare one. Hope you find it.
I have this officially released CD in Japan (it was a b-side of another song). Truly one of their hidden gems, or a true example from underrated songs of them.
Richie Sambora1903 So the man still loves the girl altough she is leaving him. Man still wants to be with her. Is that the point of it? Thank you for answering to me😄
Well obviously felt similarly, because they didn't include it on the album. I consider this an experiment. They may have like it okay as it came out (it's a demo and it sounds like one) but they seemed to decide it didn't fit what they wanted to be.
@@alejandroquintal2000 lonely at the top Jon wrote as a letter to Kurt and Courtneys daughter Frances. I think he included it on the 100,000,000 box set where Jon talks about the songs on the dvd. I think thats where i saw him talking about it
