Bon took Ac/Dc with him to the grave. Fortunately Angus was allowed to pull another side of the group back together again with, Brian. Whose been another Gem. Their entire music changed. But stayed on the same rails. Hard sound. To the point. Melodies to die for.. What a road they've endured.
No matter what you say about Bon's state of mind here, he is having a good time with these "very serious rock 'n roll interviewer's" here. WE ALL NEED TO LAUGH MORE!!
The first album i ever bought was AC DC when i was 11 ... bought it with money I earned shoveling snow out of driveways here in Nova Scotia .. Bon Scott is the best rock-n-roll front man that ever lived.
He definitely is .....A couple friends would stand there inside the door of my parents house waiting before school in the morning while I was in the shower singing "Gone Shootin" or "Rock n' Roll Damnation" or "Let there be Rock" or whatever one happened to be playing.. Good times.. Bon Scott was the man and as far as rock music he always will be. In my opinion Rock on!!!
This is really the essence of what made Bon so great.. That rebellious sense of humor and tongue-in-cheek wit coupled with his troll-ish vocal delivery.. it's 100% rock and roll.. I'm proud to say I've been in the same room with him, The Summit in Houston, in the late 70's..
AC/DC the most upbeat wild tuned in exciting amazing band i have ever come across. Bon Scott r.i.p was a genius a fantastic entertaining writer/singer/musician and without a doubt....man of the year - every year till eternity passes. Whats not to love ❤ about Bon Scott and AC/DC....blast it L-O-U-D
I don't think there are a whole lot of videos like this of Bon, I would definitely like to see more stuff like this because it kind of let you get to know him in a sentence as a person and his demeanor rather than always seeing him on stage
Yeah, everyone thinks Bon is like this video, but he's actually out of character here. He's just having a laugh at the interviewers because he doesn't see the point
Jeremy I agree, I've never seen him like this. The 1977 interview where he's wearing the fluffy coat, he really shines as a razor sharp, well spoken friendly funny person.
Jeremy Indeed One of the best...thats from the LTBR home video...I believe I still have every word to every interview in that video memorized to this day. "It was 1957 or 58 I think it was, and I used to sing in the showah,....and my mum would say...Bon, if you can't sing proper songs, Shut up!.....and now of course, she loves it very much" Motorcycle rides by and Bon twists the air throttle. Lol...Good times!
@Coldsmoke I never even noticed that he was throttling the bike hahha. that is too awesome! nice catch. Seems like Bon's mum was pretty awesome. I heard she even attended AC/DC shows in massive stadiums after Bon's passing. Bon was just so good you couldn't NOT love what he did.
I've never seen this Bon Scott interview before and filmed interviews with him are pretty rare, so I am very happy to come across this here, thanks for the upload, nice one.
The other day (Sept 2020) I was listening to an ABC radio interview with a lady who was with Alberts music publishers from the early 60's and later she became its CEO. She was involved with ACDC from their beginning and she suggested that they get Bon Scott to front them. She said he was always a gentleman when she was with them, and Bon was constantly writing to her about the band and what was happening. Despite his looks, stage antics, and drinking, he was a nice person.
blueycarlton Sounds like a great interview.. What stories that lady CEO would have 👍😊 Yours is a recent reply.. wonder if still available on abc playback ?!? Bon had the most amazing wit & manners .. & very tolerant.. taking the P out of interviewers nicely lolol 😂
"I see us as music, I see punk rock as nothing " besides being an awesome and badass frontman that's another thing that made Bon Scott a rock god because, he never sugarcoated shit he spoke his damn mind and told it like it is. R.I.P Bon Scott 1946-1980 Gone but damn sure not forgotten 🤘🤘
@@tudormiller8898 I know and it's insane Bon would've been 74 this year damn I can't help but to think how bigger of a star he would've been if he was alive today.
Man how I wish I could have seen him live. The ultimate front man for a band. Hands down. I was born in 75. I should have been in high school in 75 lol. My favorite songs are old school acdc
Ogni volta che vedo Bon Scott in video ... emozioni fortissime, brividi, tanto amore, e qualche lacrima. Grazie per tutte le emozioni che continui a darmi
"...all died within months of each other in 1980." Think about the way you phrased that...lol...meaning they all died IN 1980 or (to be more precise) they all died within 10 months of each other in 1980??? There were still only 12 months in a year...even back in 1980 6)
Love the Bon Scott years. My older brother made sure me and the neighbors understood at very high volume what true AC/DC was all about. Still got his old vinyl and still following in his footsteps.
Listening back to this I can only sit and wonder how much those interviewers must regret asking him such ridiculous questions. What a guy and what a gift to Rock and roll Bon was.
This was bob at his finest how can you not love this guy he was the definition of humble down to earth fun loving real dude a real cool customer talented gifted with the creative genius of music
Best Rock n Roll front man ever....Funny when Bon said he never said Fuck on stage, and they laugh and say he "just said it"...They try to bait him also about what type of crowd, he didn't budge.... He is NOT on stage assholes.
