In one of the past papers, I got a question that asked for the dot and cross of BF3, Boron only had 6 outer electrons, however, that was apparently correct. Are there any other atoms that do something like this, or is Boron an exception?

It was probably a BF3 + ion , so it removed that left over electron giving it a positive charge I think
